“æter minedrift hjemme”

I just finished writing an article on Ethereum mining for this site and I covered the Titan V. It won’t be profitable for Bitcoin mining (only ASIC miners are profitable for Bitcoin) but it will mine Ethereum and other GPU-mineable coins with amazing efficiency. The problem is that it costs $3,000 and so it’ll take a very long time for it earn back its purchase price and become profitable… I believe it will get around 70 MH/s at 200 W mining Ethereum, so if you plug that into a mining calculator it should give you some idea.
Ethereum bruger sin egen algoritme, kaldet Ethash som driver brugerne til at bruge deres GPU’er til mine og dermed er mere fokuseret på decentral minedrift stedet for at støtte minedrift puljer, som er centraliseret.
Profitability will be spread out some, but have faith and never overspend what you cant get back. We will provide a costing spreadsheet on our next episode drop, this will allow you to keep taps on B/E. Working on finishing the API calls for difficulty/pricing.
This ASrockLGA 1150 Supports 6 GPU so you could mine without any problems. The motherboard is the base of your mining rig. Every component of you Ethereum mining rig will be connected to your motherboard.
My philosophy on mining cryptocurrencies hasn’t changed since I first heard about Bitcoin in 2011. If you want to make a bit of a play at earning a little scratch, go for it. Definitely go for it if you already own the hardware. If you think mining some coins could help defray the costs of buying a new GPU that you’re going to use anyway, then that’s probably a reasonable bet.
Interesting read. Unfortunately for me, I don’t have the luxury of hanging to test products free, especially)… then again I don’t have anything to test, beyond what I grab for my own use. I’ve got old hardware, but only one GPU with more than a Gig of RAM and I need that for my everyday driver.
PD: The motherboard says if you want to connect more than 3 GPUs you should connect the 2 molex extra power to the MOBO but I have powered risers and as far I know only data go trough the connectors that goes into the MOBO I suppose I don’t need to connect the extra molex. Do anyone have a comment about this confusing recommendation of AsRock?
Up to a point, more VRAM will also improve performance. The present difference between a 4- and 8-gig version of the same card can be up to 5 MH/s (To clarify, MH/s stands for megahash per second, and a megahash is a million hash attempts.)
If and when Proof-of-Stake is implemented, it would be a major shift in the world of cryptos. There’s no telling how the market will react, and it’s likely it would need to be done as a hard-fork, causing a good amount of volatility.
I moved all my miners over 6 months ago. best decision I did. now i have accumulated a nice stash of ETC for future holding. Etc will have a big future. people are slow to catch on. But the smart ones already have.
Compare with ETC profit at https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/etc or any other altcoin to see which is currently the most profitable to mine based on the price. After the ETH switch to PoS, mining another coin will be necessary but by then all the equipment should be paid for!
AMD Radeon Rx 470  –   Basically the smaller brother of the RX 480, the RX 470 is widely regarded as the best bang for your buck in Ethereum mining — as long as you can find it. After you mod it, you’ll get around 29 Mh/s, and it consumes around 140 watts.
Now that you’ve downloaded a client and your node is a part of the network, you can download Ethminer. Find the download for your appropriate version of Windows here, or GPU mining instructions for other operation systems here.
And since new Ether will likely no longer be created by mining, it could mean that existing holders of Ethereum will benefit disproportionately from the process of proof-of-stake due to their ability to put their existing Ether to work at a larger and faster stake than newcomers (this mostly applies to retail investors and not institutions with large amounts of capital).
Since early this year the price of Ethereum has literally skyrocketed and made many of the early adopters rich, but it isn’t too late…. with the impossibility of using ASIC’s to mine, setting up your own mini GPU mine can still net you large profits, especially when the currency makes it’s next value hike….hurry, follow this guide to learn about the currency and how to mine it easily and reliably.
GPU or graphics Processing unit are mostly used for gaming and other high end works. But after introduction cryptocurrency mining, miners started using GPU to mine cryptocurrency like bitcoins, ethereum, litecoins etc.
I am NOT selling STRAT til double digits. Either way, good call! I wish I would’ve kept the 1000 I bought at 18 cents in the beginning. lol. Still got 368, so I did nicely off that one. I see this as being about half the price of ETH right now.
In terms of price prediction, ethereum will however rank third, at US$2,550, by end of this year; while bitcoin and bitcoin cash are forecast to trade at US$29,533 and US$2,721 respectively, taking the top two spots.
Apart from just looking for the best Bitcoin mining rig, you should also look for the one that is very efficient. Mining needs a lot of energy, and therefore you should look or one that can be able to convert more energy quantity into Bitcoins.
I’ve had success both ways and so if you run into an issue with one method delete the drivers and try the other method.  And if you do need to remove your drivers use the DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) program from Guru3d.com to remove everything cleanly and then start over.
I kept the DCR but much of the Ether I sold and some as I still mine I hold to sell on price increases (didn’t loose too much doing this but didn’t make as much as I could of just holding till now). If I had kept all the ETH that would of been $3900 + the Decred that’s $4185. Which would put me almost break even. Taking into account realizing some revenue at lower ETH prices than today I wound up making around $1000 less. Keep in mind for about the first month my rig was at about half capacity as it is now (as it takes time to build and receive parts)
Actually I did manage to compare this to a R9 290 setup. These cards appear to get a 10% performance boost over the 290’s. I can’t speak to their longevity however. Now is that worth the price difference? Probably not. So in terms of cost effectiveness the 290 might be very slightly superior (I’d have to run the numbers). But keep in mind this was also built to have general usefulness as a GPU processing unit for my work. As such this is superior as the core speed and number are significantly higher than in the 290 (which doesnt make as big a difference on mining ethereum as it would on more general applications).
While this GPU is not as powerful in terms of hash-power when compared to the aforementioned Radeon R9 295X2 and Radeon R9 HD 7990 processors, it is still very popular because of the fact that it is the most economic options for mining Ethereum. It comes with a slower hash-power of 25 MH/s but saves a lot when it comes to electricity.
Is there any reason you have to beleive PoS on serenity will be active before the end of the year? Everything I heard suggests its a year out. Do you have a timeline posted somewhere? If I am to update my blog to reflect that I need to see some evidence of that which so far all Ikeep hearing is “About a year”.
I have a glass tunnel running along the bottom of the ocean. While inside this tunnel, water on the outside appears much darker than it does if I leave the tunnel. To me, it feels like it is reading the situation as “You are in an underground tunnel, time to turn off sky lighting to save RAM” When in fact the tunnel is glass and I would much like to be able to see bright ocean colors rather than gloomy darkness.
Note that your Ethereum mining software will treat the HD 7990 as two separate GPUs with 3Gb RAM each, and miners with 2Gb GPUs have recently encountered some problems with the growing DAG file size 2Gb cards stopped working – 13/03/2016.
Paul Dirac wrote in 1951:[7] “Physical knowledge has advanced much since 1905, notably by the arrival of quantum mechanics, and the situation [about the scientific plausibility of Aether] has again changed. If one examines the question in the light of present-day knowledge, one finds that the Aether is no longer ruled out by relativity, and good reasons can now be advanced for postulating an Aether … We have now the velocity at all points of space-time, playing a fundamental part in electrodynamics. It is natural to regard it as the velocity of some real physical thing. Thus with the new theory of electrodynamics [vacuum filled with virtual particles] we are rather forced to have an Aether”.
1x Solid StateDrive (SSD) — What’s the best hard drive/SSD for mining Ethereum? You probably want to get a solid state drive of course (it will save you on energy and would be one less failure point for a rig that’s going to be running 24/7). A 120GB SSD will do just fine from just about any brand.
