The pool tab will indicate that both and Decred is being mined as the same time. Please note that in the overview on the upper part of the application, only the Ethereum statistics will be displayed.
In Bitcoin, the block time is set to 10 minutes, while the same is set to 12 seconds in Ethereum. This is what makes Ethereum have faster transactions, accomplished by using what is known as the ‘Ghost Protocol’.
For example, if you have a 500 GH/sec device, and it’s taking 400 watts of power, then you’re getting 1.25 GH/sec per watt. You can check your power bill or use an electricity price calculator online to find out how much that means in hard cash.
2. Here it also depends on the manufacturer. I discovered that the PSU wattage can have entirely different meanings from manufacturer to manufacturer. While two 850 W PSUs from Corsair handled the required power with high efficiency, staying very cool, two 1000 W PSUs I have also tested failed. So you really have to find out for yourself, but Corsair did extremely well among the PSUs I have tested.
In order to mine using this guide, there are two things that you’ll need. The first is a wallet to store your funds. There are currently multiple GUI wallets available and you can compare them here. You can also use this guide to learn how to install one of them on Linux. It is also possible to use an exchange as a wallet but we do not recommend it.
I have a big problem! I have 2 x 7950 GPUs and ASRock H61 PRO BTC mobo. When I connect GPUs via risers i don’t have screen, monitor display “No signal”. I used HDMI cable and DVI – no results. When I connect HDMI to mobo and unplugd GPUs from mobo it works perfectly.
I thought I’d see a well-done article, covering the basics, ESPECIALLY hashes per watts in a table… that thing is ESSENTIAL whenever you use the word “efficient” when talking about mining cryptocurrencies!
Now 23, Nath runs a company unrelated to crypto, but maintains his network in the crypto and blockchain community. If he returns to the crypto world, he plans to educate new users. There are “very few clear resources to properly direct and educate newcomers,” he says.
It is ironic that Einstein’s most creative work, the general theory of relativity, should boil down to conceptualizing space as a medium when his original premise [in special relativity] was that no such medium existed [..] The word ‘ether’ has extremely negative connotations in theoretical physics because of its past association with opposition to relativity. This is unfortunate because, stripped of these connotations, it rather nicely captures the way most physicists actually think about the vacuum. . . . Relativity actually says nothing about the existence or nonexistence of matter pervading the universe, only that any such matter must have relativistic symmetry. [..] It turns out that such matter exists. About the time relativity was becoming accepted, studies of radioactivity began showing that the empty vacuum of space had spectroscopic structure similar to that of ordinary quantum solids and fluids. Subsequent studies with large particle accelerators have now led us to understand that space is more like a piece of window glass than ideal Newtonian emptiness. It is filled with ‘stuff’ that is normally transparent but can be made visible by hitting it sufficiently hard to knock out a part. The modern concept of the vacuum of space, confirmed every day by experiment, is a relativistic ether. But we do not call it this because it is taboo.[9]
Talk about big, bad and beautiful, not to mention cool. I considered mining for a short period of time, but I didn’t go to the darkside. Gaming with my GPU in the 30’s and 40’s took some time to get used to.
A quick question: So you’re saying that setting the MC to 600 Mhz gives you a hashrate of 30mh/s? I have a R9 390 8 GB (I’ve been testing it out for Ether mining before I invest in building a multi gpu system), and my MC/CC is set to 1500/1000 mhz and gives me around 30 mh/s. When I overclock it to 1675/1185, it gives me around 34 Mh/s… (Claymore, Win 7 64 bit OS).. temp stays between 60-70 degrees C.
One thing that we are not using in-out mining rig is a cabin or a case so there will be no power switch to turn on your motherboard to mine. So, to do that we are going to use ATX power switch that will attach to the motherboard and you can easily power on or off with the help of the button.
So back to the question: Is it worth it to start mining? If you’re just now hearing about Ethereum and interested in maybe jumping on board, that can be a hard question, and it depends on a lot of different factors.
A mining rig is a computer system used for mining bitcoins. The rig might be a dedicated miner where it was procured, built and operated specifically for mining or it could otherwise be a computer that fills other needs, such as performing as a gaming system, and is used to mine only on a part-time basis.
Ethereum uses a different hashing algorithm to Bitcoin, which makes it incompatible with the special hashing hardware (ASICs) developed for Bitcoin mining. Ethereum’s algorithm is known as Ethash. It’s a memory-hard algorithm; meaning it’s designed to resist the development of Ethereum-mining ASICs. Instead, Ethash is deliberately best-suited to GPU-mining.
So around the time the cryptocurrencies reached all-time highs earlier in June, with the Bitcoin price hitting $3,000 and Ethereum breaking $400 the following day, Novogratz thought the current crypto boom had topped out. He sold “a bunch” of his digital coins.
Does the mining process use much data bandwidth over an internet connection? If so, this would have to be added to the calculations in regions such as the outskirts of the Metro Detroit area where cable providers have no competition and have begun to implement data caps on cable internet.
With the prices of graphics cards rising due to the cryptocurrency gold rush, it’s now more sensible to buy a pre-built device for mining cryptocurrencies, which is where our best mining rig 2018 list comes in.
From everything I’ve read thus far, the best GPUs for mining are GPUs that have high compute capabilities with low power consumption. AMD desktop GPUs such as the RX 480 and the RX 580 are competitively sought after for these specific qualities. In fact, the GPU market is currently undergoing a bubble of inflated prices due to the current mining revolution.
I’d say only as an experiment. The technology behind Ethereum, a big leap over Bitcoin’s underlying technology, may one day prove to be valuable. But cryptocurrency is so ridiculously speculative, it’s only worth taking a moderate risk on. I wouldn’t invest thousands into mining unless you really have thousands to spare, and make sure you’re aware of the risks What You Need to Know Before Investing in Cryptocurrencies What You Need to Know Before Investing in Cryptocurrencies Read More before spending any money.

If you’re into Linux, Eth OS is a 64-bit Linux OS that mines Ethereum, Zcash, Monero, and other GPU-minable coins.  If you’re a windows guy, here is Windows 10.  If you’re going to be using Windows, you’ll need mining software.  Take a look at this Ethereum Mining on a Windows PC guide.
Graphics Cards (GPUs) (4-6x) — What’s the best GPU for mining Ethereum? There are lots of good answers to this question, but as of the time of this writing, the answer is: whatever cards you can get your hands on. Stock is so limited that almost anything is better than nothing, but there are still a select few AMD RX cards that you should probably stick to.
The scheme is part of wider efforts by Unicef and other UN agencies to find uses for the “blockchain” technology associated with the cryptocurrency – the world’s second largest after the controversial Bitcoin – to revolutionise not only how aid organisations raise money but also to increase transparency in their financial transactions.
Digital currency like Bitcoin is no longer the sole parlance of informed netizens and is becoming mentioned more and more on mainstream information outlets. Although “mining” for Bitcoins via your PC has virtually become undoable without specialized hardware using an application specific chip created for bit mining, some less popular crypto-currency such as Ether on the Ethereum block-chain can still be done using your GPU hardware on your computer (although there is now talk that Ethereum too will soon require specialized hardware in the near future). I have a 2017 Skylake based MacBook Pro with a Radeon Pro 560 GPU and I have an eGPU with an AMD RX 580 GPU. Could I use my current hardware to make a couple of digital bucks on the side? Lets find out!
But in principle, it only applies to the amount of ether, not its price. If the price falls by half, then the payback of the farm will be twice as long and this formula applies to everyone. The safest method here is extracting the air and transferring it to bitcoins.
Which CPU you recommend so it is compatible with that mother board, just give me the link in amazon.com, you have mentioned CPU, a dual-core (with Multi-Thread), just make sure it is compatible with the mother board…
You could do two things, you could renegotiate your electricity contract and get a higher Power, or you could fit exactly the amount that is safe… but i can’t help you mesure that…( tho you have to address the problem that PoW wont be around forever for ETH!!! so do your research)
These dungeons are located within Parthenons in the sky. These have multiple floors, typically 3, each with multiple rooms. Most rooms have chests inside them, and while the majority of the chests are fake (Mimics), others contain some items. Silver dungeons are inhabited by Valkyries, which only attack when the player attacks them. When playing on Peaceful, Valkyries still appear, but will teleport away when you try to attack them. Killing a Valkyrie yields a single Victory Medal. The boss of this dungeon can only be attacked by presenting it with 10 of the medals, which can be done by right-clicking on it with the medals in hand. The Silver Dungeon boss can be attacked with any weapon. They are not currently Implemented into The Aether II.
Surprisingly, I used to be an investor on Wall Street. And I???ve never seen anything like this in my 10 year tenure at the company. My colleagues all thought I was crazy when I quit the firm to invest with the Bitcoin Code software full-time. $384,594 in profits later, all of my colleagues are now BEGGING me to let them in.
Kortet skal have mindst 3 gigs RAM eller det vil ikke være i stand til korrekt minen Ethereum. Dette skyldes den voksende DAG fil (rettet acykliske graf), der anvendes i Ethereum Bevis for Work hashing proces.

From a security minded engineer: How can I trust someone sharing Windows executable via Google Drive and using WinRar? The guide is nice but it raises lots of security concerns. There’s no auditable open source code and stamp by security experts. Not long ago we had WannaCry spreading in the wild.
If you would plan to run this for a longer time, you should try to lower the clock speed on the GPU core to lower power consumption and increase the memory clock speed to increase hash rate. Since Ethereum is not very dependent on the core clock and basically only the memory clock it would make performance better while also increase the profit margin
