nicehash is very easy to use in windows 10 a saw a problem if you have multiple logins, if someone uses another session it will stop mining until you log in again, at least that happend to me, I switched to ethminer and nanopool to test this week because nicehash has a 3% pool use…
Hi Charles, Sounds like a cool setup, hope you’re having fun with it and making some good money. I think your auto-correct is changing Claymore to Clayton. Anyway, as of Claymore v8.0, you can choose between mining Ethereum alone, Ethereum & Decred, Ethereum & Siacoin, Ethereum & Lbry. on something said by an old-time Bitcoiner in a video (I’m no expert on altcoins), I’d say Decred is the best choice. I haven’t heard anything about the other options and don’t know what they do exactly, except for some vague notions about “decentralized storage.” I’m not an expert on Ethereum… Read more »
While I am mining in a pool _nanopool) can I set my address to be my paper wallet; such as myetherwall.com? Will my Eth be deposited to that address and be available? Also I have 2 r9 280x’s and 1 r9 290 gpu, can I just pop those all into one mobo and mine with them even though they will not all have pcie 16x slots?
Sonic Ether’s Unbelievable Shaders 1.12.2/1.11.2 adds a beautiful lighting effect to the game. The sun shines bright at the horizon, giving the water surface a perfect reflection of its lights. Realistic clouds are flying across the sky, disappearing in the distance. Distinct shadow effects are mirrored by the water because of the incredible lightnings. Mountains rise far away, making the landscape looking like a nature wonder, or lets say a good work from a great developer.
As the price of Ethereum is around $1000 you may be wondering to yourself whether it’s worthwhile to mine ETH. Like Bitcoin, Ethereum is a proof-of-work coin that uses miners to confirm network transactions. The profitability of mining varies from person to person and changes over time – usually becoming less profitable as the coin matures.
Oh and one more thing: not all is bad for we PC gamers. Those of us who have previous generation GPUs have enjoyed watching the values of said cards go up. A friend of mine sold his 8GB RX 470 for $320 on eBay last month, or nearly $100 more than he paid for it. I sold my SLI pair of GTX 970s for $420 or about $120 more than they were worth combined a few months ago. We both upgraded to a GTX 1080Ti with the spoils.
A good mod — for any game — is one that shakes things up a bit and presents entirely new challenges to players. That’s exactly what the Aether does, with its flying snowball-throwers, its gravity-defying slime monsters, and its sand that feels like a Red Bull rush to the head. With a little persistence, navigating and conquering this bizarre world can be as easy as it is intriguing.
So assuming prices remain the same. You can invest in a bunch of cheap computers, break even and maybe make 10% in profit or something. That is great, but after that you are left with paper weights with pretty low resale value. The other thing you can do is build the boxes to be nice. You still break even (though perhaps not with the 10% profit) and now when you can’t mine Ethereum anymore you actually have a really nice computer you can sell for parts or run for whatever your personal use may be.
If you are building a “mega rig” which has 6 GPU’s you might find it more cost effective to have two separate power supplies because at 750 Watts and $100 each rather than a 1500 W and $300 dollars! We got a Seasonic 1200 Watt which you can buy here.
A Radeon R9 HD 7990 is available on the market for around $680. The daily power cost of this GPU is $1.08, with the hash rate at 36 MH/s. The return per day stands at $1.29, while its cost per MH/s is $18.89. This model of GPU is giving you a return per year of $469.40.
It’s definitely possible to push efficiency even further. For example, you can fight for lower voltages, reducing power consumption at a given clock rate. But your success rate is going to be situational, and largely dependent on luck.
Next select a motherboard for your mining rig. Boards support a variable number of graphics cards, and may only accept specific types of processors and memory. See the Details of each board to quickly identify proper pairings.

I can see some people put money and never reinvest in more hashpower .. and they expect to have a return in investment .. really dude ? you know that BTC difficulty raises almost every week … so if you stay at your same hashpower .. you will start losing money … the best way is to reinvest everyday for 6 months ( hashpower ) … and then start withdrawing your money after 6 months .. and you will thank me for it anyway .. i have just invested $2700 for 18 TH/s ( Bitcoin ) will add more details… Read more »
The following component lists might be used to help in building a new rig. To minimize shipping costs, components from the same supplier were preferred over compenents from the least expensive source.
Dungeons in Aether are much more complex than in normal world. Each of them will have a boss which has to be defeated to get the key required to open the gray chest located inside the dungeon boss room. Blocks which make up the main structure of the dungeon cannot be destroyed or obtained until the boss of the dungeon is defeated.
Okie so I finally got it all working perfectly fine. SEUS v11.0 was extremely laggy even dialing down everything i couldn’t Didn’t speed it up in the least. So I came back tried SEUS v10.1 Standard and it work completely fine and it looks so beautiful. ? I’m like always stopping and ooo Ahhh. Lookie Ron. n-n’ lol Anyways love it and glad I did decent for a first couple of tries,
I have a weird bug when i log into my world with the Shader all i can see is a black screen with NO little boxes on the bottom left: file:///C:/Users/admin/AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/screenshots/2015-06-12_08.40.43.png
I just finished writing an article on Ethereum mining for this site and I covered the Titan V. It won’t be profitable for Bitcoin mining (only ASIC miners are profitable for Bitcoin) but it will mine Ethereum and other GPU-mineable coins with amazing efficiency. The problem is that it costs $3,000 and so it’ll take a very long time for it earn back its purchase price and become profitable… I believe it will get around 70 MH/s at 200 W mining Ethereum, so if you plug that into a mining calculator it should give you some idea.
Now that you understand the factors that make GPU rigs good, here is a list and brief description of the most efficient GPUs on sale. The GPUs presented below are chosen on the basis of the global average cost of electricity. In order to determine more accurate costs, use this Ethereum mining calculator.
Disclosure: Mining equipment metrics are calculated based on a network hash rate of 234,245 GH/s and using a ETH – USD exchange rate of 1 ETH = $ 738.07. These figures vary based on the total network hash rate and on the ETH to USD conversion rate. Equipment cost can vary, block reward is fixed at 3 ETH and future block reward reductions are not taken into account. The electricity price used in generating these metrics is $ 0.12 per kWh. Network hash rate varies over time, this is just an estimation based on current values.
Hi Omer, Nope, Bitcoin can only be mined with any kind of profit using ASIC mining hardware. These are specialised devices which can only be used for mining specific algorithms. However, you could use those cards for GPU mineable coins. Like in my answer to Daniel just below, there are sites where you can check out the most profitable coins to mine and also places to calculate your profits. Here’s a site with suitable coins for GPU mining: https://btcgo.org/coin/mining/Gpu/ This will help you calculate your likely profits, but you’ll need to know your cards’ hashrate, power costs and some other… Read more »
It isnt exactly that ROI isnt an aim. Remember my post says the ultimate Ethereum rig, not the ultimate Crypto mining rig. I designed it to mine Ethereum, and only Ethereum, as best as possible, that is it. To do that one must consider that PoS is just around the corner. If it takes a year that means anyone building a rig right now is building it to mine for a year and then not be able to mine Ethereum anymore (then it goes on to whatever the next use might be for that user).
The lighting is quite possibly this shader pack’s greatest virtue. The stale, bleak light offered in vanilla does not give a sense of atmosphere like they do in this shaders pack. In fact, most of the light sources in vanilla seems as though the be the same. Yellow light is quite easily the most common, seen from torches, glowstone, lava, fire, and the sun. With this shader pack, color is reintroduced and reborn with each and every light source. Torchlight looks absolutely different from moonlight, just as it should. To add to this, shadows are heavily implemented as well. Something even as small as grass on the ground can cast a vibrant and deep shadow, perfectly matching up to the sun’s location of course. Daylight is crisp and bright, striking a noticeable difference from the pale light of the moon or torches while in a cave. If all of the game’s lighting features seem the same, Sonic Ether’s shaders is a vibrant way to shake that up.
Note that buying used cards from crypto miners is not recommended, due to the wear and tear mining places on cards. If you resell your card after it’s no longer useful for mining, you should mention that it was used for mining, then price it accordingly.

Thanks, Steven, very helpful. Not too sure about the DragonMint machine (lots of negative press out there) but Slush does sound reputable. Think my partner and I will jump in and mine Bitcoin and LiteCoin with one machine each.

  1. Ethereum was proposed in late 2013 by Vitalik Buterin, a cryptocurrency researcher and programmer. Development was funded by an online crowdsale that took place between July and August 2014. The system went live on 30 July 2015, with 11.9 million coins “premined” for the crowdsale. This accounts for approximately 13 percent of the total circulating supply.
Personally, I believe in diversification within the Ethereum realm: mining, buy-and-hold, momentum trading, mean-reversion trading and price arbitrage between exchanges. I believe in the incredible potential of a technology like Ethereum, but there are so many factors that could crush its market cap.
