Also you are assuming difficulty will increase, for the most part it has increased here and there but often stays level for a month or more. With the switch to PoS it is reasonable to assume few people will be building mining rigs so it is also reasonable to assume difficulty will not rise much.
I am having trouble with a few bugs. for example, when I place leaves they dont wave :O and when I place spruce wood it waves in the wind ? so can you please update it? thx. it is on the ultra, I might try the normal one
In particular, say supporters, it is opening the way to “smart contracts”, allowing transparent, low-cost, automated contracts that are settled when those involved determine that the agreed conditions have been met.
Instead of miners competing to solve really tough math problems, the network will instead use a pool of validators. Validators are people that are willing to stake their cryptocurrency on the blocks of transactions that they claim should be added to the public blockchain.
This is great info. I’ve just built a mining rig, and I’ve written up a post on how I did it. The post focuses on building the case, not software or which components to buy. http://blog.timwheeler.io/building-an-ethereum-mining-rig/.
This mining calculator will display your expected earnings in both Ether and Dollars. The calculations are based on the assumption that all conditions (difficulty and prices) remain as they are below.
Hi Charles, Sounds like a cool setup, hope you’re having fun with it and making some good money. I think your auto-correct is changing Claymore to Clayton. Anyway, as of Claymore v8.0, you can choose between mining Ethereum alone, Ethereum & Decred, Ethereum & Siacoin, Ethereum & Lbry. Based on something said by an old-time Bitcoiner in a video (I’m no expert on altcoins), I’d say Decred is the best choice. I haven’t heard anything about the other options and don’t know what they do exactly, except for some vague notions about “decentralized storage.” I’m not an expert on Ethereum… Read more »
You should know where your DAG file is, because if you don’t keep an eye on it, your hard drive may quickly fill up. You only need the 2 most recent DAG files so it’s OK to delete any older ones, but sometimes you’ll have to delete all of them. For me, I just had to search for the folder “Ethash” and put a shortcut of it on the desktop.
No harm in trying you need A good power supply. If each gpu says it uses 250w* epect to add 10 % even 12% to its power demand. For fun try overclocking to see if your psu can survive the heat. and give its best performance b4 it fries.
What the advertisements for cloud mining always leave out is that difficulty always increases (and yes, its very predictable, the trend line is solid). It looks great after the first month, but the coins mined decrease at about a 1-2% compounded daily. That means after a month you are probably making half the coins daily. You don’t notice when coin price is going up, but do you think coins can maintain a 2% avg growth every day forever? At 6 months, you are making 2% the coins of what you were making at the start. Basically, its like this, you lend your friend $100, he pays you back for 100 days $0.39 in gold. Which means he only gives you back $39, but he tells you don’t worry, if gold appreciates you will get your money back. The revenue you get is only from the appreciation of the coin, the actual mining loses money always. So, why not just buy the coin direct then???
Cryptocurrencies of all types rely on mining to unlock units of currency for use in transactions and exchanges. The mining process differs from currency to currency but inevitably involves complicated computer rigs which solve difficult puzzles, earning tokens or currency as a reward. The most significant currencies, including Bitcoin, sport professional mining outfits with gargantuan hardware setups working around the clock at these tasks. Now, blockchain fans are creating their own individual hardware rigs for the purpose of mining lesser-known and rising currencies available on the Ethereum network.
With the Ethereum price over $300 today and the Ethereum Classic price at $20, the opportunity to mine Ether is now extremely profitable! Even as Ethereum prepares to go to a Proof of Stake model at the end of 2017 or beginning of 2018 which will greatly reduce the possibility of making a profit mining, any mining rig built to mine Ethereum could easily be switched to start mining ETC or another coin after the switch with a huge potential to profit before!
Depending on which equipment you choose, you will need to run software to make use of it. Typically when using GPUs and FPGAs, you will need a host computer running two things: the standard bitcoin client, and the mining software.

The next step is to setup pool mining, as solo-mining is unlikely to make you any Ethereum unless you have a warehouse full of GPUs. Your first step will be to choose an Ethereum mining pool. There are plenty to choose from but we recommend Nanopool or Etheremine. The home page or help section of a mining pool site most likely contains instructions on how to mine on their pool using the popular Claymore miner.
2) After generating the Account, add a wallet and write down or copy to a text file the unique address. This address will start with the characters “0x”. It’s necessary for receiving ETH mining rewards!
Som Ethereum nemt handles til Bitcoins (BTC), det er en billig måde at langsomt opbygge en hodling position i Bitcoin. Mange indflydelsesrige peopleare meget bullish på Bitcoin udsigter til 2016 og senere.

Personally, I’ve concluded that due to the very high Ethereum mining difficulty, it’s not actually worth it in the short and mid-term. An hour of running a g2.8xlarge instance currently costs around $2.6 per hour. The current gains in mining Ethereum is around $2.6 a day!
Looking for the most affordable Bitcoin mining hardware? Here is one for you. Released in December 2014, this device is a bit outdated but will work best for those who are looking for ways to save. Its power consumption is 590-watts, which makes it a good choice those who are keen on conserving power. With a hash rate of 1.155 TH/s, this Bitcoin miner can create about 0.05 Bitcoins in one month.

  1. It offers a hash-rate of 36 MH/s. The R9 HD 7990 consumes a power of 300W at max load which is one of its benefits when compared to the R9 295X2. The power cost per day of this GPU is $1.03, cost per MH/s is $18.9. The Radeon R9 HD 7990 comes out into the markets with a 6GB GDDR5 RAM.
Elsewhere, online communities have formed in which users provide each other with tips on building rigs at home. Doing so circumvents the markup by companies selling pre-made rigs, but also requires additional maintenance and upkeep, as well as substantial knowledge.
A: Hvis det gøres ordentligt, er flere penge tjent ved at sælge minerede ETH end der bruges på elektricitet. Med andre ord, det er rentabelt! Du kan tjekke rentabiliteten med vores Ethereum minedrift regnemaskine.
Love the Shader just wish you did not have such a washed out look over all. Have a look at Edi’s Shader or Conquest of the Sun and see how the textures/blocks are more lively. Even and option to do this would be amazing.
