“ethereum minedrift gtx 1060”

Well that depends, when i started, my GPUs were not Undervolted… so i they produced a lot of heat, and i ran the FANs at 100% just to be sure…(compare that to the sound of heavy RAIN outside, very noisy!)
Edit: The point is to keep mining as long as electricity costs are below your miners income. I don’t really see profitability going away completely if you have decently low electricity, but you missed a golden period and if starting today your looking at quite a long time to see your initial costs recoup. I wouldn’t be surprised to see $1 a day or less at some point in the next few months. So profitable yes, but nobody’s getting rich at those prices.
How much hash rate increase do you think you can get by getting a 2nd stick of 2gb ram in there? And is it better for power to use a single 4gb stick or 2 x 2gb sticks? What would be the increase in hash rate with say 8 or 16gb?
Feeling the Ethereum wave taking over the world yet? In order to be on track with the digitalization of the financial industry, you definitely need to know how to mine Ethers!  This review of Top 4 Ethereum mining hardware will aid you in starting your Ethereum mining.
After you have the GPUs connected to the motherboard, you need to mount them to the case. This can be done in a variety of ways, but the most common is to simply place the GPUs on the case and connect them more “permanently” using zip ties. Finally, after you have your GPUs mounted, you should run a cable labeled “VGA” rom the power supply unit to the 6- or 8-pin VGA connector on each GPUs, and you should connect a few SATA power cables to each of the powered risers. I recommended the 6-pin to SATA risers above, and I would further recommend that you only connect at most 2 cards per SATA cable from the GPU.
I think is better to install Linux onto this 60GB SSD and then install Ethminer software rather than installing Windows since space is so limited for that SSD ( Windows 7 or 10 may take almost all of the space).. and this also will give me an option to install another mining software for another crypto-currency later on, rather then installing EthOS…just for Ethereum…What do you think about it?
So for an RX 480 (a 580 in my case) we should be seeing a hash rate (basically how fast the computations are running) of 25.0 MH/s. My two AMD GPUs combined are only getting around 5.8 MH/s. I’m missing more than 80% of expected performance!
If you would plan to run this for longer time, you should try to lower the clock speed on the GPU core to lower power consumption and increase the memory clock speed to increase hash rate. Since Ethereum is not very dependent on the core clock and basically only the memory clock it would make performance better while also increase the profit margin
Just sub’d, thanks for this video. I finally registered @ Kraken and am waiting verification. Like many, I missed the Bitcoin boat back in 2010 and I don’t want make the same mistake with another potential, because I was all over BTC back then but completely buckled due to lack of brass balls, lol.
Accessories —  Of course you’re going to need a cheap Mouse and Keyboard to get everything set up, but chances are if you’re looking build a rig then you already have some of these laying around somewhere. Also, don’t forget to buy a cheap power button for your rig so that you can easily turn it off and on. Also, don’t forget to find yourself a Monitor. Also, a couple fans would be useful to keep things cool. Zip ties will come in handy for mounting your GPUs and fans to your case.
