For example, the GTX 1050 Ti doesn’t have a very high hashrate. However, it doesn’t consume much power either. In fact, buying four 1050 Ti’s would cost you the same as buying one R9 295X2 and they have a higher profit ratio.
Your initial investment of 18000 USD would be returned in 18000 USD / [(325–41.96) USD/day] = 63,6 days. After that you could earn up to 325–41.96 = 283,04 USD/day as long as your hardware does not fail. Assuming your hardware lives during 2 years this would allow you to earn 283,04 USD/day * 656,4 days = 185 787 USD in two years for an initial investment of 18000. That means 1000% return in 2 years!! Or a yearly return on investment of 316%.
In Bitcoin, the block time is set to 10 minutes, while the same is set to 12 seconds in Ethereum. This is what makes Ethereum have faster transactions, accomplished by using what is known as the ‘Ghost Protocol’.
I work in the Machine Learning, Big Data, and Mesh/cluster computing arena (think Graph Theory applied to computing problems). So in my profession a mini-supercomputer (for lack of a better term) would come in handy for sure. Neural nets are one example, but just one among many that I work with on a daily basis. State Vector Machines, Graph Traversals, Bayesian Networks, and Self-organizing Maps are just some examples of things I work with.
In the early days of GPU mining, AMD cards were the clear winners, in terms of performance. More recent Nvidia cards (such as the Titan range) match or even exceed the performance of AMD cards. Mining for certain coins may be better or worse, depending on the manufacturer.
I would recommend EWBF miner for Zcash, but Claymore dual mining is just as good. Just in case anyone doesn’t know you can dual mine any coin you want, your not limited to just ETH and Decred or ETH and SIA. Just need to read the “Read Me” Text doc in your miners folder. I made a short explanation video, mind you I am not a top end Content creator… but should help..
To make the Aether Portal you must have glowstone which is made from glowstone dust. To make an Aether Portal, you must have at least 10 glowstone blocks; 14 glowstone blocks if you want the corners, or 18 if you want the standing place shown with the picture above.
Third, select the Graphics card you intend to use for mining. The calculator automatically enters the correct hashrate and power consumption. If your card isn’t listed or you’ve modified its performance, select the Custom option and enter the relevant figures manually. Note that GPU hashrates are entered in (Megahash per second aka MH/s; denoting millions of calculations per second).
I used the screw and screw driver to get a hole going for each spacer. Then I removed the screws from the wooden case, placed the motherboard on top of the spacers (this part might take a bit of work to line up all the spacers correctly), and then screwed each screw in. You’re going to want to use all of the screws that your motherboard requires, which will probably be somewhere between 7 and 10.
We’ll be seeing ETH go PoS this year, meaning there’s 1million+ graphic cards switching from ETH to other coins as well. This will create huge chaos for sure. Once that happens i hope miners have gotten their ROI
The growth in ethereum’s market capitalisation – calculated by multiplying the number of coins expected to be in circulation by the average forecast of the coin’s value – is in part driven by wider applicability of its underlying blockchain network, market participants told the South China Morning Post.
Now if you’re interested in other crypto-currencies, you can optionally download the MinerGate client that gives you an easy to use GUI. The reason why we’re not using the MinerGate GUI is because it doesn’t detect my eGPU housing the RX 580. The RX 580 will be the workhorse of the setup theoretically so it’s important to make certain that we’re using it whilst mining.
You can use any personal computer to mine Ethereum, provided the system has a Graphic Card (GPU) with at least 2 GB of RAM. Central Processing Unit (CPU) mining is simply an exercise in frustration. It takes an extended period to complete, and the profits are little thanks to the cost. GPUs are your best bet as they are 200 times faster than CPUs when it comes to mining Ether. AMD cards are more efficient than Nvidia cards as well.
Genesis-Mining also this big company specialized in mining from 2013, The company offers different types of packages and the possibility of miningdifferent cryptocurrencies… At the moment the contracts are sold out,due to the considerable number of contracts sold this year. According to the website Investing Haven, the price of an Ether should reach $1000, if not by 2018 then at least by 2020. That was a very conservative Ethereum price prediction for 2018 in my opinion, considering their currency’s fluctuation. The site’s research team bases their forecast on three fundamental factors:
Om hvilke faldgruber, der kan installeres og kører, kan det forekomme. Anbefalinger fra personlig erfaring og selvtilpasning af programmet til ekstraktion af kryptominuta på forskellige computerkonfigurationer, er for det meste de mest almindelige computere, der ved et uheld kan være ved hånden.
The ideal GPU when it comes to mining Ethereum is one which offers the highest hash-rate at the lowest power. Currently there are GPUs which provide hash-rates up to 46MH/s at the upper end and at the lower end there are GPUs which offer a hash-rate of about 24MH/s. There are many others which offer a lower hash-rate but they are quite slow and would take a long time to generate Ethereum.
I’m having the same problem as Majorano. I double checked everything up until this point and I am 95% sure it is all correct. Here is what command prompt is giving me (my .bat file is called Armageddon):
And then once unlocked you can scroll down and see “Your Address” – this is your Ethereum Wallet address that we will use for mining.  Save it to a separate notepad text file and save it on your Desktop for easy access (Note: it’s okay to share this address as this is how people will send you Ether and how you will receive your mining payouts, but Never share your Private Key!).
So after 12 months we should be making around $2,160. However we haven’t deducted the hardware cost yet, so it’s more like we’re breaking even or even losing some money. This is true for Bitcoin’s current exchange rate (around $8,500).
Mining ethereum isn’t profitable anymore. Since there is an exponential increase in mining difficulty, Ether mined in a month gonna decrease exponentially too. I’m currently making around 0.75 Ether a month but that’s not constant. I’ve done the whole analysis here taking my case as an example.
The Aether Portal is a portal which leads to the Aether. The frame is constructed similarly to Nether portals, but is instead created with glowstone. To activate the portal, simply pour a water bucket on the inside (much like flint and steel with Nether portals). The portal block is blue instead of the purple of the Nether Portal. Mobs, boats, and minecarts cannot pass through Aether Portals; Aether Portals cannot intersect with each other. Should the portal spawn in midair, two glowstone blocks will spawn on each side for the player to stand on. It can only be constructed in the Aether mod. Otherwise, it will not activate. The portal can also break like a Nether portal, which makes the portal unusable. To get the materials required to make a portal, you have to go to the Nether to get glowstone. The Aether portal is basically the opposite of the Nether portal, as glowstone is the brightest block, and obsidian is the darkest.
Disclosure: Mining metrics are calculated based on a network hash rate of 109,271 GH/s and using an ETH – USD exchange rate of 1 ETH =306.01. Block reward is fixed at 3  ETH and future block reward reductions are not taken into account. The average block time used in the calculation is 15 seconds. The electricity price used in generating these metrics is $ 0.074 per kWh.
The optimists believe that Ether should experience a positive increase within the coming couple of years, letting it pass Bitcoin on the way. Nevertheless, the space is fraught with problems that don’t have an easy fix. And some skeptics worry about what these problems could mean for the entire space.
I need help, I got optifine to reduce the lag, and I also have THIS shaders, I set them both up to work on one profile, but when I try to join a server, it just flashes constantly ‘Logging in…’, and it flashes the menu rapidly when I try to play a survival world… Help?!?

Jeg har en HP 28C. Jeg har været tilfreds med RPN, men 28C har også 4 liniers display, så man kan se hvad man regner sammen. Men RPN med kun en linie, det må da være irriterende, eller hvad ? (nostalgien til trods..)
But it is still more cost effective than a computer with a single GPU, especially a 290. That is because you have more GPU’s per motherboard which means you are paying less of a percentage on the motherboard.

If Ethereum was designed to be the “next level” internet then we should think about it that way. If someone created a website like Kickstarter back when the internet first came out and ended up taking people’s money.. Would it have made sense for everyone to stop using the internet..?
I don’t think that Tom’s is going to advance mining much; our longtime enthusiast members mostly won’t get into it and it’s widely enough known already. A little extra knowledge for those of us on the sidelines and, who knows, maybe miners will concentrate on the most efficient cards and the price of the rest will go down. Not an issue for me, I’m running a fanless GT430, so what do I care about current prices?
