“ethereum minedrift profitable december 2017”

The recent drop in Ethereum prices may have hurt quite a few investors betting on the rise of cryptocurrency—but the digital coin is still a boon to investors of semiconductor stocks Nvidia (nvda) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).
Figure out how many cards you are going to run first.  Then go to GPUSHACK and buy a bundle that includes a motherboard, cpu, ram, and ssd.  Then all you need to buy are the actual cards, the generic pci-e risers, and a power supply capable of running that many cards.  You can do extensive research on the different motherboards and rams and ssds and cpus and drive yourself crazy with combinations and cost analysis like I did for a long time.  But its much easier to get the bundle pack from GPUSHACK, and start mining ASAP.
If Ethereum was designed to be the “next level” internet then we should think about it that way. If someone created a website like Kickstarter back when the internet first came out and ended up taking people’s money.. Would it have made sense for everyone to stop using the internet..?
Personally, I’ve concluded that due to the very high Ethereum mining difficulty, it’s not actually worth it in the short and mid-term. An hour of running a g2.8xlarge instance currently costs around $2.6 per hour. The current gains in mining Ethereum is around $2.6 a day!
I also use EthOS and when I started I believe it saved me a LOT of time and effort on the software side of things, because it just works. No messing with which drivers, which OS, etc – you just edit a config to point to your wallet and reboot it and it mines. Some people bitch about paying for it, which I understand, but the quicker you can get a rig up and mining the sooner you will be earning ETH and that was definitely worth the price of EthOS to me. It is a good beginner’s option if you aren’t scared of (a little bit of) Linux.
21 June, Ethereum News – Mining Ethereum is a time and power consuming process. Just as I discussed in my Step by step Ethereum mining guide, the only way to get this digital currency is through mining. However, mining Ethereum implies more than just increasing the number of Ethers in circulation. It also means securing the network which in turn, assures the verified calculation.
– Most of the people posting online do not have a wattage measuring tool at the wall. The wattage consumption reported by GPUz is not the entire card’s consumption so don’t do any ROI or breaker panel calculations with that.
5. A PSU or Power Supply Unit – Power supply units come in many sizes and this can trip some people up when they are looking at calculating what size they need. You need to sum up the power consumption of your GPU and all the other components and make sure your power supply has the capability to supply more! So if you have two GPU’s that consumes 220 Watts and other components that need 250 Watts then you can get away with a 750 Watt power supply unit as the total power needed is only 690Watts.
Yes, GTX 1070 or GTX 1070Ti are the best cards that you can buy. They can really mine Ethereum as well as Zcash at a good output. Talking about the power it might use somewhere in between 180W to 200W per GPU.
Ethereum, unlike bitcoin, wasn’t built to function as a “digital gold.” According to Paul McNeal, a bitcoin evangelist, the Ethereum blockchain was built as a platform on which two parties could enter into a so-called smart contract without a third party. As a result, it can be used as a currency and it can “represent virtual shares, assets, proof of membership, and more.”

In brief, Bitcoin ASICs are specialized computers used for mining Bitcoins, Bitcoin mining rig or Bitcoin generators as others would choose to refer to them. It is very important to note that there is a major difference between Bitcoin mining hardware and the Bitcoin hardware wallets. The first ones are used to mine Bitcoins, while the latter is used to store this digital currency.
1x Power Supply –  1000 Watt PSU – The key here is to have an efficient power supply that will save you over the long run in electricity costs. Look for Gold or Platinum rated (as opposed to silver or bronze). This is the industry standard for rating the efficiency of a computer’s power supply unit (PSU). If the model linked above is unavailable, I’d also recommend this model and this model.

CPU — Now, what is the best CPU for mining Ethereum? That’s a much easier question: get a cheap CPU that works with the slot on your motherboard. If you’re going to get one of the above motherboards, chances are you’re going to need an Intel CPU for slot LGA 1150. Unless you plan to use your rig for something other than mining, you should just get a budget Intel Celeron CPU to keep the cost of your rig down.
How do i under-volt GPU’s with software ? Will it effect on GPU’s performances if they are under-volt meaning less profitable? How did you initially optimized it exactly and got half of the noise? How to switch fans to AUTO ? And switched to a specified degree, WITH THE SOFTWARE you installed ? Really no noise, like a laptop, less noise meaning less profit or it does not matter? And these GPU’s : AMD RX 480 or AMD RX 470 , are the latest? I am sure each month should be coming out more powerful GPU’s, does it need more RAM ? And water-cooled GPU’s why they are not worth to use, are they quite as laptop, are they twice more expensive?
This is a classic line from miners looking for reasons to justify the high electricity costs which usually result in non-profitability compared to just buying Ether/other crypto outright. Again, maybe it makes sense for <1% of the population, but it's not efficient or a realistic arguement. Machine learning is something I've studied and experimented with only a tiny bit by comparison. My own background is very heavy on decentralized networking. The algorithms, programming, and economics behind it have fascinated me for years and I thankfully ended up in the position to pursue it full time. No harm in trying you need A good power supply. If each gpu says it uses 250w* epect to add 10 % even 12% to its power demand. For fun try overclocking to see if your psu can survive the heat. and give its best performance b4 it fries. None of the content on CoinCentral is investment advice nor is it a replacement for advice from a certified financial planner. Hi Vincent, Well, I would suggest that the best place to start is GPU mining. Check out our Mining Guides section for articles on mining Ethereum and Zcash as these are both good coins to mine with a GPU. A good coin to mine with CPU is Monero, although we don’t currently have a guide to doing that directly (we do have one for mining it through websites but this isn’t as efficient). Only free software and free membership to a pool is required to start mining. GPU mining will lead to wear and tear on your card, yes, the… Read more » (function(){"use strict";function s(t){return"function"==typeof t||"object"==typeof t&&null!==t}function c(t){return"function"==typeof t}function a(t){z=t}function u(t){Q=t}function l(){return function(){setTimeout(f,1)}}function f(){for(var t=0;t=0&&c>=0&&{top:n,bottom:r,left:i,right:o,width:s,height:c}}function u(t){var e=

I am NOT selling STRAT til double digits. Either way, good call! I wish I would’ve kept the 1000 I bought at 18 cents in the beginning. lol. Still got 368, so I did nicely off that one. I see this as being about half the price of ETH right now.
That is a shame about the barrel jack adapter. Because there are a lot of different sizes and shapes for barrel jack DC plugs. In general, all the picoPSUs that I’ve seen use the same connection standard which is 5.5mm outer diameter and a 2.5mm inner diameter IIRC. They do differ in their efficiencies, but in general, there are so many no-brand suppliers out there, it’s better to just pick a reputable importer and buy from them. My go-tos are QuietPC and MiniBox. But there are many other importers out there.
So the platform itself has general practical value above all other crypto’s and that value grows with broader adoption. The high profitability of mining now is only because the mining infrastructure has not been able to keep pace with the growth in value. The huge Chinese farms that are coming online now are putting a huge dent in the equation though.
hi… i think you should wait and not buy this motherboard because a lot of people are saying that it is not accepting 7 GPUs… i got lucky and all my GPUs are working… but some people are not getting it to work!
This article needs to be proofread. There are multiple spelling errors and incorrect word usage, such as “This is because the Claymore miner is faster but only works for CPU.”. Claymore miner is faster for GPU, not CPU.
Now, Novogratz, who formerly ran a hedge fund at Fortress Investment Group and now invests in blockchain companies, thinks the cryptocurrencies have peaked for the time being, and it could be a while before they return to record levels. “I think we may have put the highs in for the year in Ethereum, and you’re going to slowly consolidate,” he said at the conference.
Disclosure: Mining equipment metrics are calculated based on a network hash rate of 234,245 GH/s and using a ETH – USD exchange rate of 1 ETH = $ 738.07. These figures vary based on the total network hash rate and on the ETH to USD conversion rate. Equipment cost can vary, block reward is fixed at 3 ETH and future block reward reductions are not taken into account. The electricity price used in generating these metrics is $ 0.12 per kWh. Network hash rate varies over time, this is just an estimation based on current values.
I would recommend EWBF miner for Zcash, but Claymore dual mining is just as good. Just in case anyone doesn’t know you can dual mine any coin you want, your not limited to just ETH and Decred or ETH and SIA. Just need to read the “Read Me” Text doc in your miners folder. I made a short explanation video, mind you I am not a top end Content creator… but should help..
That said, it’s still very profitable which is why huge farms are being set up because it will continue to be very profitable till the end of time. I have cards to help those who want to mine that I need to get rid of so PM me if you wanna buy some
GPUs were the next available option for miners after noticing that CPUs were becoming slower with each given day. They realized that the energy consumption of graphics cards was quite high, and so they could be used to mine Bitcoins. AMD GPUs are actually the best in this regard.
Next select a motherboard for your mining rig. Boards support a variable number of graphics cards, and may only accept specific types of processors and memory. See the Details of each board to quickly identify proper pairings.

  1. However, you can’t use any GPU. Some are better than others when it comes to mining. For example, the GTX 1060 is a great GPU for gaming, but it’s not the best mining GPU on the market in its price range.
So I decided to take cloud mining as a starting point. My Genesis-mining plan is now running for about 10 days, still hard to tell if it is profitable or not, but at least I see a little bit of ETH being stored. Waiting to get my first payout in another 22 days time.
