So I’ve started playing Aether Legacy now and when I crafted a zanite axe and chopped down a golden oak tree, I didn’t receive any golden amber, even tho zanite should be enough. I switched to a test world, gave myself a gravitite axe just to see if I would get golden amber with a gravitite axe at least. I did get golden amber, but on every single log, which shouldn’t be the case it’s a bit too op. Also: I even got it from regular skyroot trees(!) and also from already placed log(!). Please fix this!
Other miners described how they handled the massive amounts of heat—and what their significant others and roommates put up with. Rahul, a Stanford class of 2015 electrical engineer, drew his girlfriend’s ire for his rig. “It was very loud and blew a lot of hot air. My girlfriend was very upset that it had to be on at night,” he laughs.
The card itself costs $200 – which is one of the cheapest when it comes to mining Ethereum. Considering the low price and low power consumption, this is one of the most popular GPUs for Ethereum mining. The 8GB RAM is an additional advantage here.
It looks even better when you chuck on some of those higher resolution texture packs. 64x64s and 128x128s packs don’t look out of place anymore but look right at home with these shaders on. Big call but I think we may have hit a new age in minecraft. One where minecraft can actually be described as a good looking game. :tongue.gif: Oh and I see what you mean when you mentioned shadows in the sky. Very unsettling having those dark shapes looming over you. haha
The Vega represents the latest in AMD GPU architecture. While the standard air-cooled Vega series runs a little too hot for serious overclocking, this special edition stays cool enough to reach 42 MH/s, while drawing just under 300 Watts! This feature represents an amazing value: It can match the overclocked performance of Nvidia’s Titan Xp, but only costs half the price.
It’s been a while since we updated this series this past summer, but our answer for the “Is it worth it?” question has remained mostly the same. Ethereum saw increasing difficulty throughout the fall and little increase in price, which made mining steadily less and less attractive. But recently, Ethereum has boomed to be priced at around $700-$800, which has led to a resurgence in mining interest.
The goal of this project is to help show how much the Aether has grown from then to now. With this project it should help bring more appreciation towards Aether II and the amount of dedication Gilded Games is putting out to make it as outstanding as it can ever be.
It’s not gonna plateau. What all the stores being sold out means, is that a shit load of gpu’s are being bought straight through the major suppliers for large farms, and new cards are going online just as fast as they are being made. What you proposed would be true if production was down, but it’s not. What we’d want to see is cards cathering dust on the shelves at retail stores. What’s happening right now is the worst possible realistic screnario when it comes to the difficulty.
The reason why a 280X rig would be better is the cheapness and ROI would have been reached much sooner. 5 X 280X’s would have given you the same, if not more, hashrate than the Fury X, and it would have been mountains more cheaper to achieve.
OK, so that sounds like a pretty serious error, the card is halting its mining operation for some reason. It could be overheating or experiencing some other kind of hardware or software error. Can you find the log file? Reading it would probably reveal why the card is giving problems. I believe adding the “-dbg 1” switch will create a log file which will help for troubleshooting.
2018 is going to be a roller coaster ride for Ethereum price chart, But definitely you’ll notice a substantial increase in the value of Ether. Already, in the beginning of 2018 Ether price was increased with more than $400 and lately it has been showing a bit of downfall. To know how to invest read.
The good news is that persistence often pays off here, as it does in virtually every part of Minecraft and the real world. It’s possible to find Moas, and it’s even easier to find pigs. Once one has been found, navigating the seemingly endless stream of sky-based islands becomes quite a bit easier. And, as with virtually every game, players will feel more at ease about their role in the new world as they get more comfortable. Mastering new poisons and poison darts, as well as the slime, sand, and snow, that can have adverse health effects, will pay off in the end.
When mining for cryptocurrency, computational power, along with low power costs, is king. Miners around the world compete to solve math problems for a chance to earn digital coins. The more computational power you have, the greater your chances of getting returns.
Motherboard – ASRock H170 Pro4/D3 Intel H170 S1151/4xDDR3/2xPCIEx16/HDMI/DVI/USB3.0/ATX Motherboard. $145. This motherboard has 2x PCIe 3.0×16 and 3x PCIe 3.0×1, takes socket 1151 Intel 6th generation CPU and dual Channel DDR3/DDR3L 1866(OC) RAM. This motherboard only has 2 PCIe 3.0 x 16 slots which are too close together, so choose a better motherboard if you can.
The Radeon RX 480 is most arguably the most economical in terms of cost and saving electricity. Its power cost per day is significantly lower than the two that I have mentioned at $0.4320. Its hash rate is 25.0 MH/s, meaning its cost per MH/s is $7.96. This gives a return per day of $1.21 and therefore a return per year of $440.91. Radeon RX 480 will cost you $199.
Thanks, Steven, very helpful. Not too sure about the DragonMint machine (lots of negative press out there) but Slush does sound reputable. Think my partner and I will jump in and mine Bitcoin and LiteCoin with one machine each.
You can buy GPUs from two main vendors: ATI and Nvidia. High-end cards can cost hundreds of dollars, but also give you a significant advantage over CPU hashing. For example, an ATI 5970 graphics card can give you over 800 MH/sec compared with a CPU, which will generally give you less than 10 MH/sec.

  1. A: 99.9% of Cloud Mining sites are Ponzi schemes or fractional reserve Ponzi’s.  Even though there are a few that have been around a long time, there have been no 3rd party audits of the hashing power sold and profits are usually very low unless you are promoting heavily and getting others to join in (another red flag of ponzi related activity).  Short Answer – Our advice is DO NOT buy into Ethereum Cloud Mining sites or related Deposit Investment/HYIP programs.
It goes without saying that you’re going to want a motherboard with the same number (or more) PCI slots you’re going to need for your graphics cards. If you are willing to settle for using less than 6 GPUs in your rig (and thereby getting less profit), there are tons of options to choose from. But if you want to stay true to the plan, max out your profits, and run 6 GPUs, you’re going to have to do a bit more digging. Finding the appropriate combo on some hard-to-find motherboards can be a bit of a task.
