Both design styles end up looking very similar to one another. That’s because cryptocurrency mining focuses on two parts: the graphics card and the power supply. The rest of the computer can be little more than scrap heap pulls.
@jerrybanfield What are your thoughts on GenesisMining cloud mining? I’ve been using it for two weeks now, and they’re very safe and reliable. Invested $200 and will get ROI in 4.5 months, but the twist is, you get two years of mining, and there are no maintenance fees or electricity costs.
How much you can mine really depends on how much hash power you have. The more you have the more you can mine. Right now Ethereum is probably not the best one to mine anymore until difficulty comes down. Check out zcash or use an auto switching pool.
Jerry I love all your videos! I watch them all, I think you have great energy in every post you make me so excited and I continue to share your videos with my family and friends trying to convert them over to steemit. Wonderful work on here we are so glad to have you and app all you do with promotions for steemit.com
What would I do different now? First off, I would make the feet of the rig stand out at the bottom, so it is stackable. Probably it is also a better idea to have the PSUs on the outside of the rig. For mounting the cards, I have better used M3 screws, and the cards should no hang as high as they do now, because I had trouble with the first PCI-e riser on the very left being to short. Also, the conventional HDD is producing a lot of heat, SSDs are so cheap that I would definately go with one of these.
We are in some African area we have low electricity $ <0.02 you are welcome to discus about move forward, by the way i can also get my won rig, still i have some $k over for small investment… Have any idea? let's talk!! Jerry, you have made some pretty good video's but there are a lot of scary mistakes here. Need to do bit more research on the subject. Our channel is dedicated to this subject. If you guys get lost, stop on by ... The long-term investor would consider the cryptocurrency market to be in its infancy. Unregulated and with very little institutional appeal, the demand for low-cost, cross-border, immutable and programmable money is only just beginning. Cashaa is aiming to provide solutions to the global remitance market, starting with some of the largest emerging markets like: India and China. Cashaa is also built ontop of Ethereum's platform so it's highly likely they will both rice in value together over the next 12-months. The estimated expected cryptocurrency earnings are based on a statistical calculation using the values entered and do not account for difficulty and exchange rate fluctuations, stale/reject/orphan rates, and a pool's efficiency. If you are mining using a pool, the estimated expected cryptocurrency earnings can vary greatly depending on the pool's efficiency, stale/reject/orphan rate, and fees. If you are mining solo, the estimated expected cryptocurrency earnings can vary greatly depending on your luck and stale/reject/orphan rate. However, you can’t use any GPU. Some are better than others when it comes to mining. For example, the GTX 1060 is a great GPU for gaming, but it’s not the best mining GPU on the market in its price range. There are three main categories of bitcoin mining hardware, each more expensive and more powerful than the last. This guide to setting up a bitcoin miner explains each of them, and talks about how to make them work. We recommended for two months straight over the summer that people that want to minimize the risks involved with investing in the cryptocurrency space should consider getting into Ethereum mining, but that it might be a bit late in the game to set up a rig considering the many unknowns in the industry. Those that got in early and have remained steadfast in keeping their rigs online since then have made really decent gains, especially if they had many rigs or GPUs to maximize their profits. Mining Ethereum at this point requires a 3GB GPU because of the size of the DAG file. DAG stands for Directed Acyclic Graph and is essentially a database of the existing blockchain. In order to mine the next block, your hardware needs to be aware of all the existing blocks. As of this writing, the DAG is just over 2GB, and it only gets bigger with each new step, which happens at least once a week. The vast majority of miners load the entire DAG into VRAM. Without sufficient capacity, the GPU can't even begin mining operations. The card also excels at mining, reaching 70 MH/s with stock settings. But it increases up to 82 MH/s when it’s pushed to its limits. In the raw hash power stakes, this card puts Nvidia far ahead in the raw hash-power stakes, and beats out AMD’s closest rival, the Radeon RX Vega 64. It only reaches about 45 MH/s and consumes more power. [redirect url='http://foreigntradeexchange.com/bump' sec='7']

  1. Geth needs to link up with the network before anything becomes fully operational. Type in ‘geth —rpc’ in the terminal and then press enter (you should be used to this by now), this action starts the download of Ethereum’s blockchain and synchronizing with the global network. This process is time intensive and is dependent on how large the blockchain is currently and the speed of your internet connection. Make sure you wait until the completion of this process before mining.
The Aether is an amazing realm in the sky, as opposed to the Nether deep underground. Its main features are large floating islands and formations of Aeroclouds. There are many new mobs, items and blocks in the Aether, some being entirely different from those in the overworld, but few are similar to overworld mobs.
To expand on why 3 months ago vs today is different. Obviously this depends on your cards, clocks, etc but to give you an idea (my cards are some 480 and some 1070 getting around $2 each per day after power cost)… Today you’re looking at something around $2 usd/day per card. 2-3 Months ago we went as high as like $8 usd/day per card. It’s dropped since, raised a bit, dropped again, etc and it will continue to do so. But I wouldn’t bet on seeing above $3/day for extended periods of time anymore.
The Aether Portal is a portal which leads to the Aether. The frame is constructed similarly to Nether portals, but is instead created with glowstone. To activate the portal, simply pour a water bucket on the inside (much like flint and steel with Nether portals). The portal block is blue instead of the purple of the Nether Portal. Mobs, boats, and minecarts cannot pass through Aether Portals; Aether Portals cannot intersect with each other. Should the portal spawn in midair, two glowstone blocks will spawn on each side for the player to stand on. It can only be constructed in the Aether mod. Otherwise, it will not activate. The portal can also break like a Nether portal, which makes the portal unusable. To get the materials required to make a portal, you have to go to the Nether to get glowstone. The Aether portal is basically the opposite of the Nether portal, as glowstone is the brightest block, and obsidian is the darkest.
