I’ve got a question. I’m loving the shader so far, but is there a way to make the night vision effect work with the shader? I’ve got the spider queen mod installed for 1.7.10 and when in the darkness you get permanent night vision, but with the shader active it’s still pitch black. The effect is still active, just no visible change. Any ideas?

Demand for Ether will be driven by one of two things. Either for its functionality as a currency that is built on a blockchain with several applications. Or as a possible investment vehicle that keeps appreciating in value.
Is there a way to synchronize the animations with Minema? Everything is working fine except that, when I start the recording, the shaderpack’s animations seem to compensate for the low realtime framerate created by Minema, so all of the animations appear extremely fast in the final video. Is there anyway to fix this?
– Ambient temperature affects how much you can overclock your card before it burns out. So some guy in Canada will have natural cooling as opposed to some guy closer to the equator with a 30degC ambient temp. You cannot rely on other people’s reviews and achievements to be the same for you.
After the appearance of the Voice in the Darkness, the Æther was utterly transformed. It was abandoned by the mod developers after the corruption and somehow the voice slaid the immortal Aerwhales. Those that survived became war mounts for the dark army. The moas were tamed, saddled and armoured for battle. The Phygs and Flying Cows were mounted and the peaceful Sheepuffs and Aerobunnies were murdered. The blueberry bushes were devoured and rationed as food for the troops and the ambrosium once used to grow them was made into healing foods so that the pigmen couldn’t die in battle.
And while the price is now significantly higher than it was at this time last year, that doesn’t mean it’s a bad idea to start mining it. In fact, even with as popular as mining the coin is, it’s still fairly profitable as long as you don’t have to pay that much for electricity. Before you get started, you need to build what’s called a mining rig. It’s basically a PC with lots of graphics cards. In this guide, we’re going to walk you through which hardware you’re going to want to buy, as well as how to put it all together.
If you live in a hot region and use air conditioning, you actually consume more than double the listed electricity because the heat being produced in the computer has to be subsequently removed by the air conditioning, which is not 100% efficient.
There are many miners who are doing mining rig using cheap electricity due to geographical advantage like in China, Iceland etc. Using this with an efficient number of GPU’s increases the chances of mining ether faster and more in number. However, as more common people are getting into this network, time to mine per ether has increased vastly and thus, profitability depends on numerous factors.
While Mark’s encounter with bad actors left him relatively unscathed, Rahul, the Stanford graduate, suffered a much greater loss. In December, 2013, he spent a couple thousand dollars on an ASIC to mine bitcoin. Within the first three months, he mined what was at the time worth $10,000, he says. (According to CoinDesk, the price of bitcoin during that time averaged around $800.) Confident that the price would rise, he purchased another $10,000 of bitcoin with his own money and placed all of his holdings on Mt. Gox, then the largest and most trusted bitcoin exchange in the world.
Good luck in enforcing a mining ban. How are they going to differentiate between someone mining vs doing folding or running various other tasks that loads a computer? Especially when so many run a VPN.
During the past couple of years, cryptocurrencies have garnered the attention of every investor, especially after the meteoric rise of currencies like Bitcoin and the Ether. For example, in December 2015, a single Bitcoin was worth somewhere around $440, while the same Bitcoin was worth $2600 when I first wrote this article in July 2017 and was worth $9,500 when I updated this article in 29th of November 2017 and now is worth $7,900. Today Bitcoin was between $7,900 – $8,500 a usual fluctuation I would say.
A word on positioning. GPU’s can get hot – especially if you overclock them so be sure to get the best bang for your buck – and to be safe to place your rig in a well ventilated area so it doesn’t overheat.
Isn’t profitable mining all about MH/J (or better Energy x your local price for energy) anyway and not MH per $ spent on hardware? You could spend 1 USD total on hypothetical equipment that has a crazy hashrate if that draws 5 GW of power it won’t get you far.
Based on the continued profitability of Ethereum mining and the increase in computing power dedicated to it, Morgan Stanley boosted its fourth quarter 2017 sales estimates for both AMD and Nvidia. The increase in demand for GPUs for Bitcoin or cryptocurrency mining already helped boost sales for Nvidia and AMD in 2017. The bank said it expects AMD (amd) to post revenues of $1.55 billion in the fourth quarter of 2017 and $1.43 billion in the first quarter of 2018, each up $100 million from the bank’s previous estimates.
The board you used and the cpu you used are not manditory for mining with the gpu’s a simple board with a simple cpu would suffice and 4 gb of mem is adviced. For the price you bought your board and cpu, you could have bought 4 individual. not that you want that. I understand you use the rigg for more things.
The ideal GPU when it comes to mining Ethereum is one which offers the highest hash-rate at the lowest power. Currently there are GPUs which provide hash-rates up to 46MH/s at the upper end and at the lower end there are GPUs which offer a hash-rate of about 24MH/s. There are many others which offer a lower hash-rate but they are quite slow and would take a long time to generate Ethereum.
Shark Mining is a well-regarded company that makes some excellent pre-built mining rigs. Its Shark Mini is a compact rig that comes with four GPUs. The base model comes with GTX 1070 GPUs, but your can configure it to have a 1070 Ti GPU, which could net you an extra 10% profit, and you can also add a touchscreen display for keeping an eye on the rig. Shark Mining estimates a profit of $600 a month if you mine ZCash or Bitcoin, and up to $400 a month with Ethereum, though of course that could change.
All transactions in Ethereum (and other cryptocurrencies) are encapsulated within discrete blocks. These blocks are comparable to the batches of transactions which banks send to each other, except in Ethereum they occur every 15 seconds (on average). Blocks are identified by their “height,” starting from 0 and incrementing sequentially until the current block.
It is often hard to select required PSU. Some of you might select a PSU that is way less than the required power supply. When you select the Power Supply Unit for the mining rig you will only use 80% of the total that can be supplied by the PSU.
The methods of costing transactions are different in the two. In Ether, it depends on the complexity of computation, the storage needs as well as the bandwidth usage. However, in Bitcoin, there are no such factors affecting the costing as all transactions compete with each other equally. This is what is known as Gas (in Ethereum), limited to each block while for Bitcoin, the limiter is the block size.
Thanks for sharing! Definitely have interested me! Might make my rig mine ETH/ETC and then when ETH goes to POS I will mine ETC and ZEC and when ETC goes POS I will go back to ZEC. If I had not watched this I would have not of know! Thank you so much! 😀
Now you’re talking about difficulty increase of 100%, which with this rate is easily going to happen before summer, might even be by march. Hopefully price will increase as well, but at some point we’ll be seeing a saturated market (especially once ETH goes PoS), so your prediction here is that 12-18months payback period. While i’d not speculate more than 6-8 months in the future. Because we can’t possibly know what will happen once PoS happens.
OK so this sounds like a problem with your graphics card driver. Are you using the latest driver for your card? If you’re using a standard Windows driver, this could be the cause of your problem. So I suggest you check out the relevant Nvidia or AMD website and get the latest GPU drivers for your machine.
Step 3 — Connect the CPU. This step varies by motherboard and CPU (it’s slightly different for AMD CPUs, compared to Intel CPUs, for example), but it’s still pretty straightforward. You should always check your CPU and Motherboard instructions before proceeding, but the gist is this: open up the CPU holder using the lever, remove the plastic insert (if your motherboard has one), and place the CPU inside. You’re going to want to look for an arrow on one corner of the CPU and line it up with an arrow on the motherboard.
Seems that crypto currencies are a hot thing on this blog during this Summer, though it was just recent, not even a month ago, when I decided to diversify my investment portfolio and allocate up to 5% space in it…
I need some help. I downloaded the mod for version 1.8, and I installed the shader packs into their corresponding folders, but when I try to enter a world with shaders enabled, Minecraft crashes. Please let me know what I can do to fix this because I have no idea what I’m doing wrong and this is my third attempt to install shaders on Minecraft. (I deleted everything else before starting the third time.)
In contrast, alternate currencies like ethereum are “ASIC-resistant,” because ASICS designed to mine ether don’t exist. That means ether can be profitably mined with just a personal computer. Rather than rely solely on a computer’s core processor (colloquially called a “CPU”), however, miners pair it with graphics cards (“GPUs”) to increase the available computational power. Whereas CPUs are designed to solve one problem at a time, GPUs are designed to simultaneously solve hundreds. The latter dramatically raises the chances of getting coins.
How do you calculate the power supply needed? Well if your 1 GPU consumes about 150W than 6 GPU’s will make up to 900W but there are other components that will be attached to the PSU. You might even attach a monitor or a screen to view your hashing power.
Good morning from Q City, i have a noobynoob question. I am very beginner and now I mining on 3 PC. Two of them mine ethereum using 470×2 and 480×2 – I`m using dwarfpool and Claymore`s Dual miner and everything is okay when i check my wallet raits the balance is growing like beautiful garden with hundreds of mexicans working on it, !!BUT!! on my third PC I am using single msi gtx1080 gaming X to mine some zec using dwarfpool and nheqminer5c it working on 400 sol/s but my balanace is still 0.0000 after 10 hours of mine. So what the problem, or my mistake>>??? Im using wallet creating on HitBTC, is it okay>>>>?? HELP PLZ!!
To others who are reading this comment, this tutorial is for a single slot miner. A single slot miner has an overall lower footprint, both in terms of power draw and overall cost, compared to a multi-GPU miner. They are cost-effective only for those who want to get their feet wet since the cost of entry is fairly low.
2) After generating the Account, add a wallet and write down or copy to a text file the unique address. This address will start with the characters “0x”. It’s necessary for receiving ETH mining rewards!
With a rate that low, coupled with the 4 month waiting period, I think they will find very few adopters will lock up any significant portion of their money. You can get a much bigger ROI simply opening a bank account. I know PoS can work, but they will likely need to tweak their ideas before you actually see it implemented. This is why I am expecting it to take at least a year.
