Ethereum’s Ethash algorithm is one of many algorithms designed for optimal mining on GPUs. Generally speaking, a GPU is good for mining all GPU-mineable cryptocurrency (including Ethereum Classic, Monero, Zcash, and Vertcoin). This situation gives GPU miners enviable flexibility, in order to be able to switch between over 40 coins that are based on their current profitability.
TrueBitBlox is the best Ethereum Cloud Mining Company which are famous in all the world. With TrueBitBlox – Your mining rigs are already set up and running, as soon as you’ve set-up your account you can start to earn your first coins from our Etherium cloud mining service!
A close second choice for a mining GPU if the Nvidia is hard to find or out of stock, would be the AMD Rx 580 and AMD Rx 570.  The Rx 580 does 29Mh/s and the Rx 570 does 27Mh/s. All mining rig build requirements are the same for either the 1070 or the Rx 580/570. The primary reason I like the GTX 1070 is the lower power usage (100w vs 135w per GPU) when mining. If you want to give your power supply a little extra headroom to run the Rx 580, I’d recommend upgrading to a 1200 watt power supply.
Ethereum mining pools significantly increase your chance of acquiring Ether. This is because Ethers probability of allocation, just like other cryptocurrencies, is proportional to relative productivity.
GPU or graphics Processing unit are mostly used for gaming and other high end works. But after introduction cryptocurrency mining, miners started using GPU to mine cryptocurrency like bitcoins, ethereum, litecoins etc.
I’m about to buy (1) R9 280x HIS R9 280X IceQ Boost Clock 3GB GDDR5 PCI-E DLDVI-I/HDMI/2xMini DP + (1) 750W PSU. I’m confident that I will be able to ROI, but it seems too risky because nothing else is worth mining with it besides Ethereum.
Some people have reported that their rigs won’t boot unless they have a monitor connected, although this seems to be fairly rare (my own rig boots fine without a display attached). If this happens to you, you’ll need a dummy plug.
“This idea is not new, Ciprian” – you might say. You are right, you know – I’ve checked and found at least half of a dozen websites that offer fully assembled GPU mining rigs for sale. There is even an ICO for that. So what made me think that I can bring some value to you?
with my rig, I invested 2500$ for 10x GTX 1060 and I’m making around 24$ / day with the current value of ETN. It took me 3 months to be break even so whatever you hear, yes it’s profitable but nobody know how long it is going to be profitable. Mining cryptocurrency is bet for the future.
The thing I liked the most about today is how we were able to build about 80% of the office. We have used aluminum bars and plasterboards to build the office partition. Office door installation is now also 90% completed – there are a couple of aesthetic details remaining here and there, but the door is already functional.
I just started about four weeks ago and was lucky enough to amass 20 cards in this short span in this market all for under $300, some used and new, except one at $305. Probably around $250 average for a mix of 480/570/580. But I work from home and am able to monitor eBay, monitor nowinstock, check the used listings on fb and cl while I work or on breaks. Lots of late nights too, got a bit obsessed for a period. No way I have the GPUs I do now if I didn’t, and I still have a tiny setup compared to many.
Question mine under linux ubuntu debian arch centos or windows or ethos and why, thank’s for the réponse, thx 🙂 with 7970 R9 280 thx.For the best rentability and the best hashrate and pool nanopool ou suprnova or fly or other, thx i’m noob thx
So the platform itself has general practical value above all other crypto’s and that value grows with broader adoption. The high profitability of mining now is only because the mining infrastructure has not been able to keep pace with the growth in value. The huge Chinese farms that are coming online now are putting a huge dent in the equation though.
miss information. rx 570 – 580 get 22.5 mh/s with stock settings, if you put the correct drivers. correct drivers for the windows are the last one, but you need to change gaming -> compute to go mining. this will increase from 17 to 22.5. then after bios u can get 29-30
The Service Provider does not guarantee or warrant the profitability of the Services at any time. The Customer acknowledges that it has no claim against Service Provider for any specific amounts of Coins on the basis of this Agreement and Service Provider does not guarantee or warrant any such output or any value thereof. Also, Customer acknowledges that the exchange risk of mined Coins depends on the actual price compared to any given fiat/cryptocurrency (the above called “Market Price Volatility”).
Now, let’s do the math for Hashflare ethereum cloud mining contract, with initial $220 investment we could buy exactly 10MH/s mining contract for one year. That’s already 2MH/s less if we would opt to buy GPU card.
What i do then, i hook up 1 gpu, install driver, if it fails, i know it’s the riser, if it’s ok, perfect, shut down, hook up the next one, windows will auto install that driver, if it gives you a blue screen, again, riser, if it’s ok, next card.. i know it’s a shitty job but you’ll be 100% sure where the issue is!
Difficulty moved up steadily throughout the summer (all the way up to 3,000T in mid-October, at which point mining Ethereum was hardly worth it at all), but a big change happened in October when Ethereum’s reward for a block fell from 5 ETH to 3 ETH and the block time was reduced. Because of this, difficulty dropped to around 1,300, which was still higher than it was when we last updated you.
Bought a 2-year DASH X11 Contract with Genesis about 2 months ago and I am very happy with it. It has already almost paid 50% of the initial cost. Looks like these contracts have sold out now but I would definitely buy again.
When you have ether you are not yet home and dry. The value of ether is dependent on its current rate against the dollar. Whether you’ll hold the ETH or convert it to bitcoins or dollars will affect the profit or loss margins you make.
As I mentioned above, you can choose to build your mining rig with a nice custom built case or you can save money and use a plastic storage crate or milk crate.  Both work equally as well except one won’t look nearly as good.
Let’s not forget about the injuries, Radu made a bad move while caring the bars and he hurt is back, fortunately I have a friend who is a Kinotherapist and we called him fast for quick inspection and masaj ? , he is little bit better now.
However, the cost of mining is far from free in this modern day digital gold rush. Hardware costs and energy consumption represent real financial commitment. Regardless, if you build your own systems or are a PC enthusiast, there’s a good chance you have the spare parts lying around to slap a mining rig together and get cracking.
However, you can’t use any GPU. Some are better than others when it comes to mining. For example, the GTX 1060 is a great GPU for gaming, but it’s not the best mining GPU on the market in its price range.
Ethereum Mining can be done in the comfort of your home. It requires script writing and some knowledge of the command prompt. It is quite easy and exciting once the process is broken down into manageable steps.
Before any serious outlay of capital, further research into Ethereum’s prospects is warranted. While GPUs may be set to mining other coins and their costs partially recouped through resale, GPUs depreciate rapidly. This is especially true of cards put to the constant, intensive work of mining.
As more miners join the network, the mining difficulty increases, and therefore you receive less Ethereum for the amount of energy spent to solve one problem. As data suggests, Ethereum block difficulty increased from 171 TH/s(1 Trillion hashes per second) to 1714 TH/s in 6 months in 2017.
I have been following this article and built a machine using a Radeon RX460 (Gigabyte 4GB) on an Gigabyte GA-AM1M-S2H motherboard using a 460W PSU before trying a pico, and have installed all the relevant latest drivers.
Again, I believe today was a day full of accomplishments. I know it looks that not too many things were done but believe me – installing the aluminum bars and making the calculation is quite a complicated and time consuming process. Those of you who do this kind of job on a daily basis will probably relate to that. Our team is composed of technicians and IT specialists, not builders, which is why this job was quite new for us. Nevertheless, I do believe we did pretty well.
The Titan Xp can be overclocked to 42 MH/s, but it will consume 300 W when pushed that hard. It achieves an excellent hash rate without too much expenditure of power. Meanwhile, its top-end AMD rival, the RX Vega 64, achieves a very similar performance for about half the price.
Well, since I started mining Ether, I went from over 20 ether a day like in Dec 2015 to today it’s saying 5.92, on the same exact setup, actually I have slightly more Hashes because of toying with settings and whatnot along the way. I only experience less Ether week to week. I really wouldn’t advice anyone to jump in now, unless they plan to use the computer as a gaming rig later, most likely in a month or 2 the profits will be back in line with the 2015 crypto mining world, which is not much more than cost for most people.
Hi, ethereum is going to Proof of stake with Casper some time in the neat future which means that you can no longer mine it. So if you have a mining contract and ethereum goes Casper, you cannot continue to mine ether and can only mine other coins. That is a risk you have to take with a Mining contract.
The next risk, while not severe, is power. Mining computers draw a lot of power, and depending on the size of the rig, can easily draw upwards of 1,000 watts. Depending on where you live this could mean that you are mining at a loss everyday.

Mining Ether takes up a lot of electricity, and you are right in being concerned about this. On the plus side, though, if mining practices are carried out efficiently more income is generated through the sale of Ether. You will need your Ethereum Mining calculators for the process.
Next select a motherboard for your mining rig. Boards support a variable number of graphics cards, and may only accept specific types of processors and memory. See the Details of each board to quickly identify proper pairings.
In order to mine you need to perform as many operations as possible in an interval of time. For ehtereum the best computing power is delivered by graphic cards with powerfull GPUs. Other coins, like bitcoins can be mined with specialized hardware calles ASIC which are a many order of magnitudes faster than the gpus.
I think Monero has great potential and I am thrilled it’s available at Genesis Mining. I already know I can expect regular payouts from Genesis Mining on a crypto-currency I think will grow in value as others enter the crypto-space.
