I don’t understand why others ASIC resistant cryptocurrencies such as Vertcoin and Monero aren’t worth mining. At all. It’s not worth buying a high-end GPU to mine these coins even for those who don’t have to pay for electricity bill. But I do. And it’s pretty expensive here (~$0.121) .

5) Spend the extra $ and get a CPU that supports hyperthreading. It will cost you $80 instead of $50 but I have 1 rig that uses a 2 core 2 thread processor and I can’t do anything else on it effectively while its mining. Not that you’ll use it for much else but sometimes you want to research on the web using the machine you are trying to tweak and not having a fast enough CPU makes that frustrating.
The initial price you pay for a card will determine how long it takes for your card to pay for itself, based on your mining profits (Some people think if it takes longer than 4 months for the card to pay itself it’s a waste of time. However, I would disagree and I think that Getting ROI=1 after one year is still incredible). Return on investment (ROI) measures the gain or loss generated on an investment relative to the amount of money invested – Coins earned minus electrical costs and other costs. Prices are based on the current Amazon prices at the time of writing, so they should be considered rough indications.
For some people, long term, it’s probably better to mine than just spend tons of money on ETH and hope to make it big. As of December 2017, the most impending threat is probably the Casper update. Mining works by connecting to the blockchain and verifying transactions by verifying new blocks in the blockchain. Producing hashes from the data of a blockchain’s block is easy, however it is impossible to work out what the starting data was just by looking at the hash. If a card you own or plan on buying did not make this list, that does not mean that’s it’s a bad card by any means. This list is purely based on my opinions, as well as the price of the cards and the raw performance numbers. Though there are other cards which are great for mining, such as GTX 1080 Ti or RX Vega 64 (which I did not include due to their high cost), these cards on the list are just my recommendations. Another option for mining is ASICs. ASICs are devices made specifically for mining, and when compared to graphics cards, ASICs perform much better and have a much lower performance to the power draw ratio. The problem with ASICs are that they can only mine on one algorithm, so when the difficulty goes up, or the price of the coin you are mining goes down, you simply can’t swap to another algorithm, you will have to stay with that algorithm. ASICs are primarily used for SHA-256 (Bitcoin) or SCRYPT (Litecoin) algorithms.
FPGA mining is a very efficient and fast way to mine, comparable to GPU mining and drastically outperforming CPU mining. FPGAs typically consume very small amounts of power with relatively high hash ratings, making them more viable and efficient than GPU mining. This post is an early bird. While I won’t charge a lot for my work, the price will also be affected by the cost of each of the individual components of the rig. Ethereum has a completely different blockchain protocol than Bitcoin. Bitcoin’s blockchain is based on proof of work. Ethereum’s blockchain, although currently is based on proof of work, is soon to become based on proof of stake.
Mining a block is difficult because the SHA-256 hash of a block’s header must be lower than or equal to the target in order for the block to be accepted by the network. This problem can be simplified for explanation purposes: The hash of a block must start with a certain number of zeros. The probability of calculating a hash that starts with many zeros is very low, therefore many attempts must be made. In order to generate a new hash each round, a nonce is incremented. Each mining rig operates at a different level of efficiency and uses a variable amount of electricity. With the amount of mining variation, you’ll want to calculate your power cost per day and compare that to the estimated return per day when picking out a miner.

You need to pay in advance for hashing power and contracts often come in the form of a 1-year contract or unlimited (until mining with rented hardware is profitable). The only thing to keep eyes on is the current Ethereum value, so that you stay in profit and that you do not pay more for hashing power than you get out of Ethereum production.
I have selected the BEST GPUs to mine that have a good mining hashrate and at the same time low watt consumption. This can be achieved only by modding the bios, changing the timings like 1500MHz clock speed is used at 1625, 1750 and 2000MHz and will result in higher transfer speed of data from and to the GPU. My top choice is currently the Asus B250 Mining Expert board. It’s literally made for mining, with support for up to 19 (!) GPUs and 3 power supplies right out of the box. Even if you don’t intend to initially run more than a few GPUs, the included mining-centric diagnostic features and ability to expand later probably make the price premium over less-robust boards worth it.
Up to a point, more VRAM will also improve performance. The present difference between a 4- and 8-gig version of the same card can be up to 5 MH/s (To clarify, MH/s stands for megahash per second, and a megahash is a million hash attempts.)
A: This guide covers using Windows 10 (make sure it’s 64 bit).  There are also various distros of Linux that can be used (not covered here).  But Windows is the easiest to configure and get up and running fast.  There is no Mac version at this time.  
I think genesis mining is good professional service i am having a good experience with them. What i like the most is there support they are very quick to reply. No matter what the difficulty rates are these days for mining but it still a good experience when you think of long term .

Cold Storage   This is the process of moving your bitcoins to an offline wallet. The benefit of this is that no one can hack into your computer and steal your private keys if your computer is not connected to a network. Bitcoins will need to be brought back out of cold storage to be spent or transferred again.
For proper mining, separate hardware needs to be dedicated to integrating higher hash rate GPU’s. On top of the list best performance, video cards are of AMD and NVIDIA GEFORCE. The AMD Radeon R9 295X2 gives the performance of 57.6 MH/s but the power it consumes is a lot and care need to be taken in that way. AMD Radeon RX 480 and Radeon RX 580 are best value performers with 25-27 MH/s and power usage can be reduced using some tweaks.
Zcash uses the equihash algorithm. Same as btc gold. I bought my contract to mine zcash, but I don’t think it is unreasonable that in a few month’s time, Genesis might make it possible to mine btc gold with it since it is the same algorithm. If not, Zcash will still be hot. It is a win win!
We’ll be seeing ETH go PoS this year, meaning there’s 1million+ graphic cards switching from ETH to other coins as well. This will create huge chaos for sure. Once that happens i hope miners have gotten their ROI
When a currency (Ethereum) is resistant to ASIC mining, the average person can afford to buy a GPU if they don’t already have one. This allows everyone to verify the network instead of a select few with lots of power.
It’s hard for me to tell yet – how legit is HashFlare, they seem pretty legit to me, but I haven’t yet withdrawn any  funds from there yet (well, I’ve been with HashFlare cloud mining just for a month and mining BTC)
