They are all priced the same on a cost per MH basis  – usually you get a discount the more you buy. However this is due to the demand with Ethereum as it is such a popular 2nd generation crypto currency. They generally offer daily payouts to the user which you can feed into your ethereum wallet on your phone or however you choose to store it.
Ethereum is one of the fastest growing cryptocurrencies next to Bitcoin, the native digital currency which has been taking the world by storm. Just a year and half ago, the price of Ethereum was $1, now it is well over $300 with an all-time high of over $400. The rapid growth of Ethereum mining excited investors who were eager not to miss out on another hyper-growth investment opportunity.
People need to remember they are mining ETH, not USD. If the market returns a decent price on that second step (i.e. the conversion to fiat), THAT measures profitability. The calculators can only measure the difficulty increases effectively (as they are approximately known) at a steady price.
I am in the peocess of ordering parts for a good 6 card mining rig. What is the best GPU card i can get now that uses the least amount of power? What is your email? Maybe you could send me an updated list for 2018? Or are all the parts still basically the same as your first list? Thank you so much for all this help!!! 🙂
The Vega represents the latest in AMD GPU architecture. While the standard air-cooled Vega series runs a little too hot for serious overclocking, this special edition stays cool enough to reach 42 MH/s, while drawing just under 300 Watts! This feature represents an amazing value: It can match the overclocked performance of Nvidia’s Titan Xp, but only costs half the price.
Now, the total amount I’ve invested so far in my GPU mining rig is $1,365 – and currently, it gives me a hashing power of 41 MH/s. Again I haven’t yet calculated precise electricity consumption, but for the sake of this experiment, let’s assume it’s 300 Watts.
Calculators give you an estimate of your projected profit. However, they can not 100% predict future, especially not the Ether price. Some cloud mining providers already give you an estimate of return on investment with their pricing and costs data already filled in, so please check individual providers websites.
Now the ethereum calculator gets the latest network hash rate from etherchain.org and the eth price from etherscan.io. The average blocktime represents the time in which a new block is generated and for each block 5 ETH are generated. Statistically you will be able to estimate how many ethercoins are generated by you given the fact that you know the whole network computing power. It’s your part of the pie. That means for each 17.84 seconds (assuming thats the average time until a new block is generated) you get 5 ETH * 25Mh / 591.2GH. But remember this is an average. The estimation should be quite exact for the near future but if you want to estimate for longer term there is much uncertainty regarding how those variables evolve(Average Block Time, Average Network Hashrate).
The Service Provider uses third party services and such third party’s affiliates services which enable the Customer to place monetary deposits and perform transfer of payments within the website of the Service Provider by making use of the Customers existing credit / debit card (as and if available and applicable) (the “ Card Services” and the “ Card Service Provider”). The Card Services do not include any additional service, and such Card Services do not Customers account.
Now choose a processor to use. Depending on how your system is configured it may be possible to achieve the same mining rate with your graphics cards regardless of processor used. However, any wasted CPU cycles may be allocated for additional off-GPU mining or other system tasks. Check the mainboard section to ensure system compatibility.
If you plan to run Linux, you can use pretty much anything, including a ~$5 16GB USB stick (we’ll be using Claymore miner, which doesn’t write Ethereum’s DAG file to disk, so we don’t need to worry about wearing a USB stick out due to constantly writing to it, like with the stock ethminer). With that said, SSDs are pretty cheap nowadays and it might be nice to have one in case you want to try Windows at some point.

  1. Building a 6 GPU Ethereum mining rig is a fun project and a great source of passive income. This guide will help you find and assemble the best Ethereum mining hardware currently available to build your very own DIY Ethereum mining rig. Assembly time is about 3 hours and this mining rig is currently generating between $300-500/mo of digital currency depending on the current market price of the coin you are mining (Ethereum, Monero, Zcash, etc).
Findind a solution is practically running brute force algorithm. The time to find a solution is hard to tell. In the same time blocks are having a predefined maximum size and by convention a blockchain needs to have an averate time interval at which blocks are closed. In order to do that from time to time a variable called difficulty is adjusted based on previous performance.
