i dont expect to get rich doing this, but Im also hoping to have at least 10+ rigs by this time next year. Im taking as aggressive of a reinvestment strategy as possible so that even after the PoS change occurs I can make money mining something else. As already mentioned the ethereum mining is done using graphic cards. As graphic cards can not work by themselfs, the ethereum mining hardware consists of a omputer which has as many graphic cards attached as possible. Those computers are called mining rigs and in gereral they have around 6 gpus powered by 1-2 power supply units.
However, you can’t use any GPU. Some are better than others when it comes to mining. For example, the GTX 1060 is a great GPU for gaming, but it’s not the best mining GPU on the market in its price range.
