“ethereum mining case”

Unfortunately it’s hard to troubleshoot without any error message. Do you ever get problems running graphically intensive applications like games? You could also try downloading a stress testing app for your GPU and seeing how it performs:
Another reason why people continue mining even when it’s unprofitable to mine Ethereum is because of their belief that Ethereum will be worth much more in the future.   Even though Ethers are worth around $300-$350 now, in 5 years they might be worth $3000-$3500.  So even if mining now is unprofitable, the coins will rise in value as time goes on.
Mining is intentionally designed to be resource-intensive and difficult so that the number of blocks found each day by miners remains steady. Individual blocks must contain a proof of work to be considered valid. This proof of work is verified by other Bitcoin nodes each time they receive a block. Bitcoin uses the hashcash proof-of-work function.
Be wary of the networks increasing difficulty. Even though you may make $10 one day, the next day you may make $9, so you should always be open minded about mining different coins when the time comes.
For some people, long term, it’s probably better to mine than just spend tons of money on ETH and hope to make it big. As of December 2017, the most impending threat is probably the Casper update. If you’re not worried about that — or you think it might take longer than expected for Buterin and co. to roll out the update — then maybe building a rig and starting to mine ETH is for you.
Wow. What a year it’s been! 2016 was full of exciting news in the world of cryptocurrency: we’ve seen continued innovation amidst the blockchain; we’ve seen a steady growth of Bitcoin and increasing global acceptance of the currency; and of course, we’ve seen a growth of Genesis Mining in both our bitcoin farm hardware and customer base.
Ok, so you are basically saying doom day is arriving quick for ETH miners. But from my perspective (and I assume I can be absolutely wrong here), just switching to another coin, while keeping the same rig, will make my mining efforts pay off again. Does that make sense or did I miss anything?
Mist also contains Geth, a popular command line interface. You may choose to get only the latest Geth app for your system, it’s able to perform all the functions of Mist (and more) from the command line. Geth (an abbreviation for “go-ethereum”) allows you and your miner to interact more directly with the Ethereum network but Geth definitely requires some programming knowledge.
1x RAM (System Memory) –  4 GB RAM – You don’t need a lot of system memory to mine ethereum effectively. 4GB is about as small as a stick of RAM comes these days, so I recommend just picking up a cheap one as long as it is DDR 4 desktop memory.
Stop the instance. This will shut down the instance, but makes it easy to restart it. Amazon AWS does not charge hourly usage for a stopped instance, but does charge for the storage. To stop an instance:
With a modest rate of Hash power that stands at 24 MH/s, Radeon RX 470 has comparable features of Radeon RX 480. There are however minor differences between Radeon RX 470 and Radeon RX 480 which was designed initially as a graphic card for gaming activities. Popularity of this graphic processing unit for mining activities can be attributed to its robust processing power and satisfactory hash rates. In contrast, Radeon RX 470 was built for Ethereum mining right from the word go.
Ethereum has taken the cryptocurrency world by storm! Ethereum builds upon the success of Bitcoin while also making a slew of improvements and additions. The most important of these is the addition of Smart Contracts, which can potentially automate many tasks associated with contracts today and can completely remove the middle man from most contracts! Watch the video to the left and check out our article on why Ethereum is poised to overtake Bitcoin!
There are a few tools out there that will give you your exact solar insolation hours for your area. I’ll post a few links at the bottom of the post. When i designed systems at Affordable Solar Group here in Albuquerque, i would design the systems over the phone so i would use the customer/businesses zip code and basic roof information (really just the pitch of the roof or if it is a flat roof) and the following website:
This is called cloud mining. It has been happening for a long time with Bitcoin and a number of reputable providers have come to the fore where you can trust their reputation for them not to run off with your money. This is especially true of Genesis Mining who are the first to set up a batch of Ethereum Mining contracts where all you do is pay them some cash and your up and running as an Ethereum miner – as simple as that – no hassle no playing around with downloading Geth and using command prompt – and most importantly you don’t have to maintain it yourself which can be a big issue if you have to keep going to restart your computer. So it saves your time!
Each mining rig works at a different level of efficiency and uses a variable amount of electricity. On the low end, miners typically draw ~100 W at their maximum load, but this can increase up to over 1000 W with more powerful and less efficient miners.
Cold Storage   This is the process of moving your bitcoins to an offline wallet. The benefit of this is that no one can hack into your computer and steal your private keys if your computer is not connected to a network. Bitcoins will need to be brought back out of cold storage to be spent or transferred again.
Now, for the ease of this experiment – let’s compare Ethereum mining – DIY and Cloud contract from Hashflare.io. Also, I will assume you already have basic components – like motherboard, pc risers, processor and so on – and the one and only investment you are concerned is – adding a new graphics card.
An uncle is a stale block, usually beat to the blockchain by another block. The Ethereum network compensates miners for these though they receive a lesser reward. As you mine a block, you’ll receive a reward for no more than two uncle blocks included. The pay you receive is for uncles up to six blocks back.
While this GPU is not as powerful in terms of hash-power when compared to the aforementioned Radeon R9 295X2 and Radeon R9 HD 7990 processors, it is still very popular because of the fact that it is the most economic options for mining Ethereum. It comes with a slower hash-power of 25 MH/s but saves a lot when it comes to electricity.
Early Bitcoin client versions allowed users to use their CPUs to mine. The advent of GPU mining made CPU mining financially unwise as the hashrate of the network grew to such a degree that the amount of bitcoins produced by CPU mining became lower than the cost of power to operate a CPU. The option was therefore removed from the core Bitcoin client’s user interface.
One measure of AC efficiency is EER. It’s a measure of cooling capacity (in BTU per hour) by input power (W). A typical AC unit might have a EER of 10. If you convert the units, that’s 2.9 W of heat removed per watt of power consumption by the unit. So your cooling costs would result in an extra ~33% on your power bill, not an extra 100% (double).
Click Save private key to save the key in the format that PuTTY can use. PuTTYgen displays a warning about saving the key without a passphrase. Click Yes. Note: A passphrase on a private key is an extra layer of protection, so even if your private key is discovered, it can’t be used without the passphrase. The downside to using a passphrase is that it makes automation harder because human intervention is needed to log on to an instance, or copy files to an instance.
If you mine in a pool, you’ll pay a fee to belong as well as a payout fee charged on each payment sent to you. Pools don’t charge the same rates though the variation is low. These fees are another value you will subtract from your income. If you outsource, your contract states the amount of a year’s subscription to the cloud mining entity.
If you set your clocks in Afterburner for example, you should check GPU-Z to see if those clocks have really applied. Because if you say your hashrate is not being affected by you adjusting core, that means your core hasn’t been adjusted.
Hello, I was wondering if you could help me with a bios modification question. I have a rig mostly rx470 mining editions, are these cards already maxed out when it comes to tweeking their bios? Im asking becuase i have tryed to tweek them in the past and run into issues and a loss in hash rate…
