Why do you need yo use the powered risers with the B250 MB? If I need to use powered risers do I need to make sure each bank A/B/C GPU and riser is from same PS? Or all powered risers need to be on PS as MB?
I would like to start mining Ether, but my GPU isn’t the greatest and I don’t really want to spend the money on a dedicated rig. Is mining from my CPU (in a Linux environment) still worth the Ether? Or will I not be able to keep up?
So, once geth has finished its synchronisation with the blockchain, you have to generate a new account. This will be your “wallet”, which will store the ether you mine. Your wallet will be stored in the hidden folder ~/.ethereum (in the /keystore subfolder). In the same folder you will find the files of the blockchain.
Excellent business for lazy people! Invest your money once in the project Genesis-mining and receive their dividends for life! Income on full automatic! Ability to gain several Do not miss your chance to become rich!
Also I disagree that trusting the miners is foolish, yes 99% are in it for the profits but there is a balance between the difficulty, price, and gross hash power, and it seems to be working. Even if difficulty doubles (depending on your electricity) it still has a 12 to 18 month payback without price inflation.
Yep your correct. If you really want a brain dead way of approaching this just use wolfram alpha and substitute hash with meters. wolframalpha.com/input/?i=1+Tm%2Fs+to+Gm%2Fs – boyfarrell Feb 1 ’14 at 6:17
GeForce GTX 1070 (Founder’s Edition) is the “Pascal”-architecture GPU that people with limited (though still substantial) budgets have been waiting for. This card is based on the same chip as the big-gun flagship GeForce GTX 1080, but it was cut down a bit to make it more affordable.
Experimentation with various GPU selections in the calculator will reveal a card with the best price to performance to power consumption combination (expressed as MH/s per Currency Unit). Keep in mind that AMD cards outperform NVidia for cryptocurrency mining purposes.
hey! first of all thank you for your immediate reply. Now the computer, after that it verifies the 4 things, it says “esecution of code impossible because “openCL.dll” was not found. Can you help me again?
5) Spend the extra $ and get a CPU that supports hyperthreading. It will cost you $80 instead of $50 but I have 1 rig that uses a 2 core 2 thread processor and I can’t do anything else on it effectively while its mining. Not that you’ll use it for much else but sometimes you want to research on the web using the machine you are trying to tweak and not having a fast enough CPU makes that frustrating.
From what I’m reading the Intel HD Graphics 630 can address up to 64 gigabytes of ram allowing you technically keep mining even after the Geforce 1070 is forced out when the DAG finally exceeds 8 gigabytes.
2. What PSU valtage do you recoment since both the logic that you used with the 20% rule and this calculator by OuterVision (https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator) (the same as the CoolerMaster one) is suggesting that you buy “bigger” PSU? (GPUs use a variable of 150, meaning around 1000 and then adding the processor and the 20% rule getting us at 1600W PSU or 2x650W PSUs) And since we are the the PSU topic – what brands do you recommend and do you recommend getting 2 PSU in the first place?
However, these calculators may not consider all the factors that affect the profitability of ETH mining. That is why if you use a number of calculators you end up with different figures. This article will look at the details that matter when you calculate the costs, revenue, and profits in ETH mining.
CoinSwitch is an easy-to-use cryptocurrency exchange aggregator (one place to access multiple available exchanges) with many leading markets across the globe, such as Changelly, Shapeshift, EverCoin, Blocktrades, Bittrex, Cryptopia and others. CoinSw…
I was new to cloud mining and very uncertain of investing online let alone overseas. The customer sevice team answered all my questions with great detail and answered them via email within minutes. I began seeing coins deposited right on time directly into my personal wallet. Great product great service.
The answer is Difficulty. By automatically adjusting the computational difficulty of solving a block, the Ethereum blockchain is able to maintain ~15 second intervals. You’ll notice Difficulty closely tracks hashrate and it too has seen exponential growth this year:
Although, Radeon RX 480 may not compete with earlier versions of Graphic Processing Units of Ethereum mining in terms of hash power ratings, it enjoys excellent popularity due to its impressive economy. Radeon RX 480 offers outstanding power economy to compensate its lower hash power of 25 MH/s. The cost efficiency of Radeon RX 480 is higher than aforementioned GPUs for Ethereum mining and consumes just about 150 Watts. As far as the RAM is concerned Radeon RX 480 is packed with 8GB GDDR5 RAM. Total cost of Radeon RX 480 delivers excellent economy as compared with majority of Graphic Processing Units for Ethereum mining.
not if ethereum is your only plan and you have to pay full price on cards. i can buy cards as business expense, so no tax for me. i can write them off, so they’re again half in price. i bought some to a decent low price, (gtx 1070 for 400€) so total expenses I need for break even is 180€ per card. this should/could work out. and if not, I can sell the cards off for half the price and still be able to break even (without any cent mined), although I would rather stick to it and mine for the only real reason to mine: support an idea. be it a crypto currency or something like folding at home.

  1. The second day of work brought a lot of successes, as well as some failures and even few minor injuries. Everyone’s fine though; the minor inconveniences didn’t prevent us from keep doing what we were doing.
Well, there is no direct relation to how much you can mine using PC in particular amount of time as it depends on a lot of factors. If you are interested in mining using your standard PC, then the amount of ether mined will not be profitable enough as it takes up a lot of electricity.
