This step by step tutorial tries to be easy to follow. It is supposed to be as easy as copy / pasting but we acknowledge that a certain level of understanding and patience to follow the detailed instructions is needed.
Ethereum cloud mining calculations are continuously updated on our blog. We often present the results in how many days it takes to break even the contract price. It’s very hard to predict since the Ether price is volatile and the network increase in size all the time. However, this is how we usually make the approximation:
On Ethereum forum @paul_bxd revealed an inner mean (hashrate) of 24 MH/s using an AWS g2.8xlarge instance comparable to the benchmark of an AMD Radeon R9 280x : 23.2 MH/S which is the best in class for ethereum mining (Nvidia Geforce is far less efficient)
First, join the cloud mining pool by simply buying shares online. You need to choose a plan, pay for it and you will start mining immediately after purchase. By signing Ethereum mining contract, your provider will take care of all mining tasks, maintenance, and upkeep while you just sit back and receive your share of mined coins.
This one is easy: buy the cheapest CPU that works with whatever motherboard you pick. When it comes to mining, the GPUs do all the work. Your CPU will essentially sit idle, so there is no reason to waste money on anything other than the bare minimum.
Drill holes in your brace so that you can secure it with cable ties (see image). Do not simply rest the brace on the crate! An accidental bump can cause it to fall into the crate, along with ~$1000 worth of GPUs if you do that!
3) Hard Drive – You need a hard drive to store your operating system and your software for mining. A standard SSD drive will do (an SSD hard drive is just a storage device and is called solid state as there aren’t moving bits which can break). The size will depend on what you are planning to do when mining. If you are planning to download the entire blockchain and mine as shown in this guide here – then you will need to take into account how big the blockchain will become and need to spend a little more. If you are just going to mine ethereum as part of a pool then you don’t need to store the blockchain and can get a smaller SSD drive. We used the SSDNow V300 120GB. Buy it here.
So I am working through some issues. First I have two drives. C: which is a fairly small SSD drive just for my OS (the blockchain is too big to fit on here) and an E: drive which stores everything else. I finally figured out how to store the blockchain on E: with my coinbase and if I am solo mining it works (probably not going to mine anything but works nontheless). So I am considering pool mining. According to your article I must first downloan the entire blockchain which I am working on doing again to the E: drive.… Read more »
I was sure Cloud-Mining is more profitable, because of the high Ethereum price. If I would buy 10 Ether today, it would cost me about 2300 $. I can get the same amount of Ether much cheaper with Cloud-Mining. With around 37 MH/s Ethereum Mining Power, I will get over 10.4 Ether after 1 year and it only costs about 1090 € at Genesis Mining and it is mining 2 years. So after 2 years you will get about 20 Ether back for only 1090 € instead of 10 Ether for 2300 $ if you buy it today directly.
Genesis Mining is one of the leading cloudmining companies and a trustworthy partner of ours. It’s good to see that they are an honest cloudmining service which shows their farms openly to the public.
Считаю что это очень ценное приобретение, выплаты приходят каждый день автоматически. Genesis-Mining это интересная и надежная организация. Спасибо. I think it very valuable acquisition, payments come every day automatically. Genesis-Mining this is an interesting and reliable organization. Thank you.
Shark Mining has another entry in this list of best mining rigs, this time with its Shark PRO mining rig. Like the Shark mini, this is a well-built device for mining that comes with a range of configuration options. The base model comes with six GTX 1070 cards, but these can be upgraded to GTX 1070 Ti or GTX 1080 Ti GPUs. It’s an expensive rig, but the build quality and potential profit makes it a very tempting choice if you’re serious about mining.
In conclusion – cloud mining contracts will suite for people not willing to take the technical risk, upkeeping, learning and more – cloud contracts kind of gives the feeling – throw a money and watch it grow. On the other hand, you must do your homework and research before putting a significant amount of money into cloud mining contracts, there are a lot of scam and ponzi schemes out there.
This guide will a complete beginner through the various steps involved in building a DIY power-efficient ~150 MH/sec ethereum mining computer. Based on my popular litecoin mining guide from 2013, this new guide has been updated with current (2017) top hardware choices, best mining software, and detailed configuration instructions for both modern Linux and Windows operating systems.
