Hello, first, thank you for the tutorial, miner appears to be functioning. Hoever, it’s not working properly on my machine. I keep getting a Watchdog Error: must restart GPU. Please help me sort this error out. Thanks.
A: As long as your system meets the general requirements and has at least one GPU with at least 3GB of RAM, you can mine Ethereum.  Some Gaming laptops do have high end cards, but with the considerable heat generated from mining there could be other impacts to your laptop so it’s best to go with a desktop build.  Virtualized environments that you can rent usually do not have enough powerful dedicated GPU in them, or are simply not profitable if they do.  There are currently no ASICs for Ethereum (as it is designed to be an “ASIC Resistant” Proof Of Work hashing algorithim, so if you see ads for one – RUN.  ASIC’s are still profitable for mining some coins (Bitcoin, Dash and Litecoin), but for home built Mining Rigs, Ethereum and other altcoins are still profitable to mine (whereas Bitcoin is not profitable on a home pc – even with many powerful GPU’s do the Bitcoin ASIC technology available).
By the year 2020 if bitcoin mining continues to increase at its current rate it will be consuming more electricity than the country of Demark. This is not sustainable so get you Litecoin mining contracts now. Two-year contracts at a reasonable price with no maintenance costs. It’s like printing money.

Open-ended contracts were previously called life-time contracts. But as the difficulty grows every day the server bought for example 2 years ago doesn’t have power to mine the bitcoin today. Actually it has but the cost of electricity spent for it makes it unprofitable. In genesis-mining.com contract is written that open-ended contracts can be cancelled when it reach the level the mining is no more profitable. It can be in 2, 3, 4 years…. Impossible to answer this question:)

We’re specifically mining on an MSI Z270 XPOWER Gaming Titanium motherboard powered by an Intel Core i5-7600K quad-core processor and 16GB of Corsair Vengeance 2666MHz RAM. It’s more muscle than any miner needs and will surely gobble up a bit more power while mining than is desired. But it’s the simplest of systems we have on hand that’s ready to mine 24/7. CPU horsepower is much less important in a mining rig, so low-power CPUs are preferable at this time.

I would normally recommend using an Intel Atom motherboard. Unfortunately, no consumer-class Atom board offers full-sized PCIe x16 ports. Also, there’s some confusion regarding how much power the PCIe slot produces. According to its specifications, a PCIe x16 slot can deliver around 75 watts. That should be enough to handle the 75-watt draw of the 460, but some 460 manufacturers include an optional 6-pin connector — for added safety.
The What To Mine Calculator is hands down, the most useful mining calculator. The reason being that you simply fill in your graphics cards models and the site will calculate the power draw, hash rate, and the most profitable coin for your set up. The site will even show you the best exchange to sell your coins on. Additionally, the site will also apply a reasonable overclock to the cards making your results even more accurate. When mining, overclocking is extremely useful so think of this as “free performance.” The only downside to this site is that it only has information on 11 different GPUs and no CPUs. You also can’t fill in your pools fee. This site is still extremely useful for finding the most profitable coin to mine, making it my preferred calculator.
I’m with GM for a year. I sincerely recommend GM due to the low cost of the account. At any time you can change addresses, which is very valuable. Very easy to setup. Hash rates and returns are quite decent for the money considering you don’t need to worry about buying the hardware, setting it up, or paying for power. Setting up a mining rig is annoying, loud and hot! This is much nicer =)

Disclosure: Mining contract metrics are calculated based on a network hash rate of 231,841 GH/s and using a ETH – USD exchange rate of 1 ETH = $ 685.09. These figures vary based on the total network hash rate and on the ETH to USD conversion rate. Block reward is fixed at 3 ETH and future block reward reductions are not taken into account. Network hash rate varies over time, this is just an estimation based on current values.
The mining demand has driven prices well above their normal retail price, but when it comes to a relatively cheap videocards with a solid performance currently available on the market, AMD’s R9 390(X) seems to beat other cards. Even though it tends to be a relatively old card (the R9 series was introduced back in 2015), it has aged far more gracefully than the more recent RX 400 / 500 series (which launched in 2016 and 2017, respectively).
Ich war mir sicher, dass Cloud Mining profitabler ist wegen des hohen Ethereum Preises. Wenn ich nämlich heute 10 Ether kaufen würde, würde es mich c.a. 2300 $ kosten. Den gleichen Betrag kann ich aber auch günstiger mit Cloud-Mining bekommen. Mit ungefähr 37 MH/s Ethereum Mining Power bekomme ich nach einen Jahr über 10.4 Ether und es kostet nur rund 1090 € auf Genesis Mining und es erzeugt sogar 2 Jahre lang Ether für dich. Nach 2 Jahren wirst du also ungefähr 20 Ether generieren für nur c.a. 1090 €, anstatt 10 Ether für 2300 $ wenn man heute direkt Ether kaufen würde.
As it always happens, this kind of shopping took almost the whole day. The only thing we’ve managed to do the same day was to cut a piece of the middle wall so the door could fit in. We’ll wait for someone experienced to install the door. We don’t want to mess things up!
