@high110 everything is going perfectly except ethminer says JSON-RPC problem. Probably couldn’t connect. Retrying in 1… forever. And geth won’t mine with more than 1 GPU with the -mine option. – anon58192932 Oct 1 ’16 at 5:36
Ethereum was initially described in a white paper by Vitalik Buterin,[13] a programmer involved with Bitcoin Magazine, in late 2013 with a goal of building decentralized applications.[14][15] Buterin had argued that Bitcoin needed a scripting language for application development. Failing to gain agreement, he proposed development of a new platform with a more general scripting language.[16]:88
Note that we’re comparing (a) mining Dogecoin (or another Scrypt coin) directly using a Scrypt ASIC miner with (b) using a graphics card to mine using X11 or other CPU/GPU algorithm (ala Simplemulti).
Log into your AWS Account, make sure you are in one of the four US Regions (N. Virginia, Ohio, N. California or Oregon), and choose the CloudFormation service. Then you’ll want to create a new New Stack.
The cryptocurrency revolution is largely down to enthusiastic ‘miners’, who build or use their own machines to perform the complex proof of work algorithms to process data blocks, creating more of their chosen currency such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
ZCash uses Equihash as an hashing algorithm, which is an asymmetric memory-hard PoW algorithm based on the generalized birthday problem. It relies on high RAM requirements to bottleneck the generation of proofs and making ASIC development unfeasible, much like Ethereum.
hey! first of all thank you for your immediate reply. Now the computer, after that it verifies the 4 things, it says “esecution of code impossible because “openCL.dll” was not found. Can you help me again?
You may have noticed that the value of currencies goes up and down every day. What most people don’t realize is that there is a foreign exchange market – or ‘Forex’ for short – where you can potentially profit from the movement of these currencies. The best known example is George Soros who made a billion dollars in a day by trading currencies. Be aware, however, that currency trading involves significant risk and individuals can lose a substantial part of their investment. As technologies have improved, the Forex market has become more accessible resulting in an unprecedented growth in online trading. One of the great things about trading currencies now is that you no longer have to be a big money manager to trade this market; traders and investors like you and I can trade this market.
hi thank you the article was useful. but still i’ve one question i’ve heard that if a trader would be making 04% return monthly that would be great and you sad that you can make 2% daily so what do you think about it ?
Ethereum intends to switch to a Proof of Stake scheme called Casper. Although this switch has been delayed, it’s reasonable to expect that it will occur in late 2018. Ethereum mining will no longer be possible after that, unless a hybrid Proof of Work/Proof of Stake model is implemented.
Well lot of information in this article. I also want to start ethereum mining can any one suggest me good graphics card and also I google it and found this site http://www.thecryptomining.info/2017/03/best-hardware-for-ethereum-mining.html can i use these graphics card at that moment.
It is NOT easy. It takes a lot of work. Most people lose money at it: https://vantagepointtrading.com/archives/13922 That said, if you work your ass off it is possible to make an income from it, but expect to put in about at least 6 months to a year before you see any pay off.
It is important to be realistic about what you expect from your forex trading. How much money you deposit plays a crucial role in how much you will likely make if you follow proper risk management. If you’re willing to grow your account slowly, then you can likely begin with as little as $500, but starting with at least a $1000 is recommended no matter what style of trading you do. If you want to make an income from your forex trading then I recommend opening an account with at least $3000 for day trading, or $4000 for swing trading or investing. Play with the scenarios to find an income level and deposit level that is acceptable.
One of three things is going on here, either the person really does not know what they are talking about (e.g. hashrates for RX 400 & 500 series, the R9 only coming in 4gb, etc), or they are advertising for Nvidia, or they are attempting to get a sell off for AMD cards. I don’t mind because I have been able to get some good prices on AMD cards lately with one guy even saying that he was selling cards he just purchased brand new in December because their technology was becoming obsolete. Probably read this article and took it… Read more »
You can determine the rating for efficiency by dividing the hashrate by the power consumption. Newer cards are usually more efficient. This rating is of prime importance—given that electricity is a fixed, ongoing cost. In other words, the more efficient your card, the more profitable it will be once you’ve received the ROI.
But even without that being the case, it could be argued that there is actually an inherent value in using all of this energy, simply to make the currency workable – after all, a huge amount of energy is also expended in transferring, protecting, processing and storing conventional forms of currency, simply for the purposes of keeping those systems running smoothly. And even carrying around cash in your wallet has an energy cost too.
The Ethereum network is a long string of connections maintained by computers, their impact is undeniable, and the profit gained from mined Ether is surreal. A lot of people are of the opinion that mining will stop with the advent of the consensus algorithm and advise those with itching curiosity to mine now and think later.
Long considered the workhorse of GPU mining, the time has sadly arrived when the RX 400 and 500 series must be put out to pasture—at least for Ethereum mining purposes. Unless you intend to mine other altcoins and can find an RX 580/570/480/470 at a good price, you should shun the rip-off prices that sellers often charge for these cards.
Koszonom
A miner is an investor that devotes time, computer space and energy to sorting through blocks. When the mining process hits the right harsh, they will submit their solutions to the issuer. After verification, the issuer of the currency offers rewards which are portions of the transactions they helped in verifying. They also offer digital coins in exchange for the work of miners. The result of digital mining is called proof of work system. Some currencies depend on this system alone while other use a combination of proof of stake and proof of work.

In March 2017, various blockchain start-ups, research groups, and Fortune 500 companies announced the creation of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) with 30 members.[20] By May, the nonprofit organization had 116 enterprise members—including ConsenSys, CME Group, Cornell University’s research group, Toyota Research Institute, Samsung SDS, Microsoft, Intel, J.P. Morgan, Cooley LLP, Merck KGaA, DTCC, Deloitte, Accenture, Banco Santander, BNY Mellon, ING, and National Bank of Canada.[21][22][23] By July 2017, there were over 150 members in the alliance, including recent additions MasterCard, Cisco Systems, and Scotiabank.[24]
I reckon just try running Claymore and see what it says. I’m not up to date on Ethereum mining but I heard that the ETH blockchain has gotten too big to sync normally. I don’t know how miners are handling that but presumably some kind of pruning or other solution is used.
Pro-tips: check out the following GPU’s: AMD Rx 470/480 Rx 570/580, AMD R9 range, HD 7990 / 7950 (if used cards are available, try to get them from a gamer instead of a miner, with a warranty if possible).  For Nvidia, look at the 1060 / 1070 / 1080 series cards.  As with everything, do your own due diligence to evaluate GPU’s based on their hashrate, power requirements, availability and price.
By mining your own coins locally, you can always upgrade your mining hardware on your terms. While some remote mining providers allow you to upgrade to a higher hash rate on the fly, at the end of the day it’s always at their discretion and you can’t be sure if the upgrade is giving you the best value for your money and how much money the company is pocketing. With local mining you can be sure you’re getting exactly what you pay for when you upgrade, and you can also upgrade other aspects of the computer if you want to use the rig for something else such as storage or as a server.
Case – You don’t want your components sitting on top of each other because it could be a fire hazard. You do have the option of leaving the entire system out in the open air or building a case that will allow for plenty of breathing room in between your components. There are some off the shelf rigs by some vendors which takes all the guess work out.
Ethereum addresses are composed of the prefix “0x”, a common identifier for hexadecimal, concatenated with the rightmost 20 bytes of the Keccak-256 hash (big endian) of the ECDSA public key. In hexadecimal, 2 digits represents a byte, meaning addresses contain 40 hexadecimal digits. One example is 0xb794f5ea0ba39494ce839613fffba74279579268, the Poloniex ColdWallet. Contract addresses are in the same format, however they are determined by sender and creation transaction nonce.[53] User accounts are indistinguishable from contract accounts given only an address for each and no blockchain data. Any valid Keccak-256 hash put into the described format is valid, even if it does not correspond to an account with a private key or a contract. This is unlike Bitcoin, which uses base58check to ensure that addresses are properly typed.
