The goal is to make GPU mining more accessible to the common folks by keeping low and transparent prices. Since I do not do this for a living, it will be easier for me to keep the prices more than competitive.
Now replace “” with your Ethereum Wallet address (which starts with 0x…) so copy that from your other text file and paste it here.  Then replace “” with any name you would like to create for your miner.  We’ll use “MiningRig1” for our example, so you now have:
Bitcoin’s public ledger (the “block chain”) was started on January 3rd, 2009 at 18:15 UTC presumably by Satoshi Nakamoto. The first block is known as the genesis block. The first transaction recorded in the first block was a single transaction paying the reward of 50 new bitcoins to its creator.
We have our own proprietary cooling system, a product of our R&D that cuts cooling costs down by 80% from traditional airco solutions, while keeping the servers at low temperatures to ensure the longevity of the GPUs.
So what’s the latest answer to this constantly-repeated question in the mining community? Ethereum is becoming even more profitable now after its first huge jump in price over the summer, which has meant even more to become suddenly interested. Especially since Ethereum is currently one of the most profitable coins to mine, it’s worth considering how the landscape has changed lately.
Exactly. Difficulty is goig up, price is going down, and to add more insult to injury the resale value is terrible. 6 months ago was a great time to get into mining, but today you might not even break even.
Thanx for the update. It’s still accurate right? And what do you suggest, should I wait for bitcoin to come back as a mining option and upgrade what I have or should I buy Ether/Monero from genesis(which is more profitable)?
There are currently about 2.5 million GPUs mining Ethereum. The rating for efficiency can be determined by dividing the hashrate by the power draw. This is a primary indicator, which shows how profitable your mining operations will be in the future (after the payback period), given that electricity is a fixed, ongoing cost. The more efficient your card (newer cards are usually more efficient), the more profitable it will be once you’ve received the ROI.
If you’re an optimist you might say “well, maybe people just don’t know, just like they don’t know what crazy returns ETH is giving on the USD market”. Or they could say “maybe Genesis doesn’t want to gamble that ETH will stay high – this way if ETH goes back to $2 will still have made a bundle selling hardware?”
First, join the cloud mining pool by simply buying shares online. You need to choose a plan, pay for it and you will start mining immediately after purchase. By signing Ethereum mining contract, your provider will take care of all mining tasks, maintenance, and upkeep while you just sit back and receive your share of mined coins.
The Total Profits view predicts what your overall profitability will be in the future. This is calculated by taking your current profits and adding them to each following months profits while factoring in the changing difficulty (diff change), the diff change factor can be disabled. This view assumes the price of the coin will stay the same. If you wish to account for a changing price (ie if you think the price will rise in the future), switch to the “Coins Generated” view.
In the early days of GPU mining, AMD cards were the clear winners, in terms of performance. More recent Nvidia cards (such as the Titan range) match or even exceed the performance of AMD cards. Mining performance for certain coins may be better or worse, depending on the manufacturer.

  1. I think you read this wrong. I didn’t write this saying “These are the exact steps and parts list you need.” It’s simply saying, “Here’s a basic idea you can possibly adapt to your own circumstances.” No, not everyone has a 290X in storage. But a lot of people do. My current “leftover” GPU is an R9 280. That’s plenty strong for some hobbyist mining.
You cannot and should not bank on ETH > USD increases in your profit calculations. If you’re banking on ETH going up to save you, your operation is not profitable, and you’d have been much better off just buying ATH outright and holding.
