I have no interest in Bitcoin mining but I’m giving this video a like because in your previous video somebody asked for this type of video and not even a week later here it is. well done mate. keep it lekker
Litecoin is closely based on bitcoin — they’re built on the same underlying code — but with a few distinctive tweaks. The central difference is that Litecoin is mined using the Scrypt algorithm, which is rooted in mathematical computations that are simpler than those used by bitcoin’s SHA-256 algorithm. As a result, in contrast to the specialized, super-expensive, energy-intensive mining rigs required to mine bitcoin, you can mine Litecoin with a decent laptop or desktop PC, especially if it’s tricked out with a powerful graphics card.
My personal recommendation is to keep full control of your wallets and not in the exchanges since exchanges can be hacked and you run the risk of losing your coins forever. You should also keep your coins in an offline storage for maximum security. A useful multi-wallet application which I recommend is the Jaxx Blockchain Wallet. You can store many different types of coins here including popular ones such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. This wallet also gives you full control of your private keys in case you want to move your wallet out of Jaxx. The Jaxx wallet also has mobile apps which allows you to take your cryptos with you anywhere. The Ledger Nano S is another useful multi-wallet, however it is a hardware wallet, so you will have to spend an extra portion of your budget on this. Though it does payoff with it’s increased security.
A miner is a computer set up with that specific purpose in mind – to go through transactions and solve the algorithms as efficiently as possible. For their efforts, miners are rewarded with small amounts of said currency.  Mining typically requires a tremendous amount of processing power, and used to be done using the CPU or the GPU, depending on the currency. CPU mining was popular a while back, with the rise of Bitcoin, but started becoming obsolete when chips designed specifically for mining appeared. These chips, known as ASICs (application-specific integrated circuit) and FPGAs (field-programmable gate array), usually provided significantly better mining performance, and quickly became the go-to options for people looking to go into the mining business, as they outperformed CPU mining and were able to keep up with the constantly-increasing difficulty of mining. This is how Bitcoin mining slowly moved from the masses to specialized groups that were willing to invest in dedicated mining hardware.
Bitmain Technologies’ BM1382 calculates 63 hashes per clock cycle (Hz), while their more efficient BM1384 calculates 55 hashes per clock cycle. Similarly, while these hashes per clock cycle are spot-on for the claims regarding the number of cores, BitFury’s BF756C55 is claimed to have 756 cores, but yields around 11.6 hashes per clock cycle. This is because the reference to cores sometimes mean different things, and certain designs result in less straightforward calculation[1]
The Titan Xp can be overclocked to 42 MH/s, but it will consume 300 W when pushed that hard. It achieves an excellent hash rate without too much expenditure of power. Meanwhile, its top-end AMD rival, the RX Vega 64, achieves a very similar performance for about half the price.
If you’re interested in mining for ethereum, you need to have a good machine to do it. Ideally, you’ll want to build your rig to be as future proof as possible, so that your rig isn’t going to become obsolete in a few years. Your GPU has to have enough RAM to cache it, so it’s a good idea to use 8GB cards.

Geth is going to have to link to a network before everything is fully functioning. Type in “geth —rpc” in the terminal and then hit enter. This will begin the downloading of Ethereum’s blockchain and sync with the global network. This is going to take a while, depending on how large the blockchain is and your internet connection. You have to wait until this is finished before you can start mining.
And because Scrypt is less mathematically complex than SHA-256, Litecoin mining is way faster than bitcoin mining. A Litecoin block takes only 2.5 minutes to hash, compared to the 10 minutes it takes to hash a bitcoin block. So Litecoin transactions are also faster to process and confirm.
The HD 7990 was released in 2013 and is harder to purchase from stores as this series has been superseded by the R9 series released in 2015. Internally, the HD 7990 with 6Gb RAM consists of two AMD HD 7970 GPUs with 3Gb RAM each packaged together.
A: You can use any ETH wallet address for mining, but some exchanges do not allow mining or do not allow very small deposits so double check with the site if mining directly to a web-deposit address.  A good alternative to downloading the full Mist wallet and Ethereum blockchain is MyEtherWallet.com, which still allows you to manage your Ether wallet address and maintain control of your private keys (which is important for security and/or wallet backup and restoration if needed).
Nanopool – Next on our list is Nanopool (https://nanopool.org). Nanopool currently has 40 000 Ethereum miners and accounts for 15% of the hashrate. Nanopool uses the PPLNS method to calculate payments the same as Ethermine. Payments are made several times during the day and Nanopool has servers in Asia, Europe and America. Nanopool also offers miners the option to mine in Ethereum Classic which is a split from the traditional Ethereum currency. Also see our article on Nanopool vs Ethpool.
2.2 Click on the download and click install. Your firewall can cause issues but just click allow if it does so – the same is true of windows that doesn’t recognise or approve the software – tell windows its ok when asked. Click through the installation process until Ethminer is installed.
Step 10: You need to open up another command prompt as in step 4 – so your going to get two scary looking boxes. Simply click right click on your already open command prompt in the taskbar at the bottom of the page and click on command prompt in the menu that appears. A new command prompt should open with “C:\users\username>”. This is the wrong place to look for etherminer so you need to tell it the right place to find it.
Well lot of information in this article. I also want to start ethereum mining can any one suggest me good graphics card and also I google it and found this site http://www.thecryptomining.info/2017/03/best-hardware-for-ethereum-mining.html can i use these graphics card at that moment.
Several manufacturers announced upcoming mining-optimized cards, including ASUS (GTX1060 and RX470), ZOTAC (GTX1060), Sapphire (RX470) and others. The chips of choice to receive the mining-optimization treatment are the NVIDIA P106 (which is the chip used by the GTX 1060 lineup) and the Polaris 460, 470D and 560D (the last two being China-specific chips). This is just the first wave, though – it is expected that more brands jump into the bandwagon and offer mining-optimized cards.
As you can see it takes some time and some decision making, depending on what your goals are. If you’re purely profit motivated, there’s a much different choice to make. Of course, if profit is everything you might just consider purchasing Ethereum rather than mining it in the first place. At its current growth rate it might just be a better investment than the hardware. Of course it could also go bust. Any investment or business comes with a certain amount of risk.  All of these GPUs and numbers are based on a modest overclocking.  See my article on overclocking GPUs for mining rigs for more information.
Cryptocurrency mining is a big buzz topic in technology these days. And why not? Utilizing your computer to digitally mine what seems like free money only begs the question, “where do I sign up?” Your machine will actually be “mining” or processing transactions for a decentralized currency, the hottest variant of which is called Ethereum.  Poised to overtake the industry bellwether Bitcoin, Ethereum has experienced explosive growth with roughly a $35 billion dollar market cap currently.
It’s the most expensive Ti product ever, and it generally retails in the $800 range. However, mining demand has driven its price to over $1,000 in some locations. But for those who can stump up the cash, it’s a card that really looks to the future.
Let’s look at these two words, hash and rate. A hash is a proof of work calculation that you do within a block. Once that block is done you move to the next one. All mined blocks are included within the blockchain. Hash rate implies the number of proof of work calculations in the network per given time. It is usually denoted per second.
The first pool you might wan to check out is PooLTo.Be Ethereum Pool. Still not a large number of miners and a lot of hashrate, but it supports ETH Stratum proxy as well as regular getwork mining and there is still zero pool fee for some time. The minimum payout threshold is 0.2 Ether and payouts run every 2 hours and the pool has already found a couple of blocks.
To achieve this, ZCash founders had to develop an entirely new cryptography algorithm that would allow transactions to be verified despite the fact that their inputs or outputs could be encrypted. The algorithm, known as zk-SNARK, uses a zero-knowledge proof construction, which allows it to provide authenticity for encrypted transactions, and represented quite a breakthrough in the field. This is not much of a surprise, considering that the team behind ZCash consists of researchers from John Hopkins University and cryptographers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Tel Aviv University and the Israel Institute of Technology.
You may now assemble miners together, who know how to use the best Ethereum mining software, which is compatible with the mining hardware and start mining. Always remember that the best Ethereum mining pool for a miner depends on their location also. All necessary essentials be considered if profits must be made.
The Biostar TB250-BTC Pro is a great value mining motherboard that brings some excellent and advanced mining features, such as support for up to 12 GPUs, for a very competitive price. Even if you’re not going to be using the full 12 PCI slots for graphics cards, this could be a wise investment if you plan on scaling up your mining operation in the future. The only real downside of this motherboard is that it’s quite difficult to get hold of, so keep an eye on our price tracker on this page, as it will tell you when it’s in stock, and what the best price is!
Ethereum is an open blockchain platform similar to Bitcoin but with additional in-built flexibilities. With Ethereum, the blockchain can be considered to be intelligent thanks to the Ethereum Virtual Machine and Smart Contracts. Whereas with Bitcoin it’s a glorified ledger.
Pool fees are usually pegged as a percentage and you have to foot the payout costs, which will be deducted from your earnings. While mining from a pool is advantageous if you don’t have the heavy mining hardware, the rewards and the pay you get might not be equal to what you’d have received if you mined solo. Some pools may pay you, plus all rewards while in others you might not get paid for uncles.
It can be remembered that around April of 2017, the cards for AMD Rx 4 & 5 series totally sold out leading to a significant rise in price in most markets. Most miners opted to use this GPU, which was affordably available on the market back then.
The name of the chipset manufactured by AMD or Nvidia for each card remains the same (for example RX 480). You’ll notice that various models are available from different Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), which is a company that produces parts and equipment that may be marketed by another manufacturer. AMD Radeon graphics and AMD Wonder products are commonly licensed by OEMs and utilize AMD’s brand to market the product, so you might encounter the MSI Gaming Radeon RX 480.
Currently (November 2017) the two best mining groups of Ethereum are: Ethpool(http://ethpool.org) and Ethermine (https://ethermine.org). Together they have more than 27% of the hashrate of the network.
Genesis Mining Review: Genesis Mining is the largest Bitcoin and scrypt cloud mining provider. Genesis Mining offers three Bitcoin cloud mining plans that are reasonably priced. Zcash mining contracts are also available.
