I’m not up to date on Ethereum mining but I heard that the ETH blockchain has gotten too big to sync normally. I don’t know how miners are handling that but presumably some kind of pruning or other solution is used. Genesis is the world’s largest and most transparent hash power provider for ether, Altcoins, and Bitcoin. It is not only reliable but also customer friendly. They have heavily invested in the latest hardware and software that keeps them abreast with technology. It provides the easiest way of mining. With Genesis available, there is no need of investing in your rig. Ready to start mining and become the next Bill Gates? In this section I will be recommending some of the best graphics cards for mining  and addressing their power draw, cost, and their hash rates. I will also explain which coins are the best to mine with each card. To monitor your rig, you have two options. You can either log in through SSH or look at the generated stats panel. The stats panel has the advantage that it’s a simple web page and you can easily view it from anywhere. SSH poses the advantage, that should you have any issues, you can easily remotely manage the system (as long as you’re happy with Linux command line operations). ‘C:\Users\Username>’ the username placeholder is the name of your computer and is the usual display format by the command terminal. Locating Geth is the next step; type in ‘cd/’ into the command prompt terminal; this is an instruction to change directory. ‘C:\>’ should be highlighted now, which means you are currently in the C: drive.
There are various types of GPUs in the market right now, but all are not the same. There are some that possess higher hash rates as compared to others. On the other hand, some consume more electricity than others. The most important thing to do when selecting the most effective GPU is to create a balance between how much you are willing to spend on the electricity and the GPU itself, against how powerful you want your rig to be. The costs of GPUs mainly vary by each country. This is due to the fact that most GPUs are merchandised on popular online retail stores like eBay and Amazon.com. Getting a GPU in a country where these retailers ship to will be very easy. For most miners, the determining factor is electricity.
If you’re interested in mining for ethereum, you need to have a good machine to do it. Ideally, you’ll want to build your rig to be as future proof as possible, so that your rig isn’t going to become obsolete in a few years. Your GPU has to have enough RAM to cache it, so it’s a good idea to use 8GB cards.
Head over to MyEtherWallet.com (Note: Please beware of phishing websites. Do not enter your key on a website you arrived at by clicking a link. Always triple-check the domain. The real site is MyEtherWallet dot com)
Forgive the generic look, i’m still customizing it, and you won’t have to go through all hassle of installing geth, syncing for days, etc. You can literally be mining in a few minutes. http://noobpool.com
Also, the mining pool pays all the uncles and transaction fees, so you do not have to worry about that. Apart from all these it offers a third-party Android application the monitors your Ethreum ming stats and provides you other details related to your mining pool account.
Litecoin is closely based on bitcoin — they’re built on the same underlying code — but with a few distinctive tweaks. The central difference is that Litecoin is mined using the Scrypt algorithm, which is rooted in mathematical computations that are simpler than those used by bitcoin’s SHA-256 algorithm. As a result, in contrast to the specialized, super-expensive, energy-intensive mining rigs required to mine bitcoin, you can mine Litecoin with a decent laptop or desktop PC, especially if it’s tricked out with a powerful graphics card.
When it comes to choosing your Ethereum mining operating software, there are three main contenders: Windows, Linux, and ethOS. If you’re a Mac fanboy, it is possible, but it’s advised for numerous reasons.
TrueBitBlox is the best Ethereum Cloud Mining Company which are famous in all the world. With TrueBitBlox – Your mining rigs are already set up and running, as soon as you’ve set-up your account you can start to earn your first coins from our Etherium cloud mining service!
Step 1: If you have gone through our guide here on how to set up your computer to mine ethereum you are most of the way there – in fact all you need is an address which you can get from the EthDev wallet – which is basically a nice interface to doing exactly the same process. The reason you need a wallet or address is to tell the pool where to pay your money! You don’t need to sync the blockchain – the mining pool provider will do this for you!
Just seemed inappropriate is all. But it is trendy as all get out. i know Tom has to be unbiased so even if the miners have single-handedly ruined pricing, put most GFX cards out of reach of many users and basically just bleeped things up Tom’s can’t get personal. They are earning money. Putting food in their kid’s tummies and all that. Who wouldn’t like a little extra on the side. My 1080 Ti was purchased at($10 less) than MSRP back in January.
Ethereum is the 2nd most popular cryptocurrency in the world right now with respect to market capitalization. This is reason enough why you should start mining Ether all the more. As the prices consistently go up, Ether mining becomes a lucrative venture for all real-time investors. Ethereum miners can analyse the Ether mining profitability using calculators. Miners will thus know how much Ether they need along with the amount hashing rate and electricity to make profits.
Talk about big, bad and beautiful, not to mention cool. I considered mining for a short period of time, but I didn’t go to the darkside. Gaming with my GPU in the 30’s and 40’s took some time to get used to.

  1. New UserHello, could someone help me out to solve issue with SimpleMining OS, this is what I’m keep getting when I boot up SMOS, any ideas on what could be wrong, I’m just tired of mining on windows (i.redd.it)
NanoPool  – I’ve used this mining pool on several moderate sized deployments of mining rigs and have never had an issue. They have a responsive Twitter account (@nanopool_org) and are very helpful if you’re encountering issues with their pool.
