Then install the Watchdog driver and program, which you can find on the official website – click here for the driver and here for the program. Enable Autostart for the program, and adjust the monitoring settings – enable network monitoring and type ‘google.com,’ then enable process monitoring as well, typing in ‘cmd.exe.’
Start out small. I don’t recommend starting out by buying hundreds of graphics cards and miners, especially if you have no previous experience with mining. If you start out small you can easily upgrade in the future by either adding rigs to your farm, or by adding graphics cards to your rigs.
I have ETH contract with Genesis for 2 years and one with same Hash rate with a competitor but 1 year contract. Genesis has consistently paid out more than the competitor. Happy with Genesis contract. When I bought from competitor, all Genesis was sold out. I have bought again now that it is available.
Here’s a little introduction. Part one of the project is already completed – I’ve got a plan, a great team and a place where we can start equipping the workshop. We have two plain rooms of 50 square meters each. One room will be subdivided into an office and the rigs workshop – where rigs will be physically assembled; the other room will be hosting the rigs that are in testing phase.
Notice the wave pattern in the chart? Our guess is its claymore’s dev fee kicking in at that time. We also seemed to had some internet outage (and that is the most annoying thing ever – no internet, no mining)
I see a lot of people are having this same problem. I believe that something must have changed in the new version of Claymore which is causing this error. Can you perhaps install an older version of Claymore?
We’ve started by making the new office placement plan. We had to establish the exact dimensions and location of the office partition and its elements. During the process we’ve received the cables for electricity installation – luckily enough, the seller delivered as promised. The door between the two workshops has been installed too, so we can finally say that we open our doors for you, guys! (I had to say that, sorry!).
You’re attributing much too broad a brush to people. There are plenty of reasons to keep around leftover computer parts, other than sentimentality. You might want a backup incase your new hardware gets damages, is a lemon, etc. You might hang on to some stuff because you’ve got friends or family that might want it when they finally decide to ditch their current dinosaurs.
To get something out of eth mining you need to put something in. The main costs you’ll face include the hardware and setup costs as well as the maintenance costs. These costs apply to solo mining and pool mining. For cloud mining, the fee you pay for a contract is your cost.
The Titan V’s massive price tag ($3000) both ensures that it’ll take a very long time to pay for itself and puts it out of reach for the average home miner. On the other hand, if the price is okay for you, we highly recommend you to buy Titan V.
Cryptocurrency mining is a big buzz topic in technology these days and many people have started mining cryptocurrencies. In 2018, Ethereum smashed its long-term $400 ceiling, and reached more than $1,000, which makes it one of the most popular cryptos for mining.
In terms of Ethereum mining performance, the R9 series has aged far more gracefully (even though it was introduced in 2015) than the more recent RX 400 / 500 series (which launched in 2016 and 2017, respectively).
You see, GPU mining is more art than anything else. It can be taught, but at the end of the day, it all comes to experimentation and to gathering first-hand experience in the field. While I try to make the longest and most detailed guides on mining on the web, there are things no guide can replace.
Tons of programs for you to mine in a pool or solo one of the most popular programs is Claymore’s GPU Miner. We found Claymore’s to be the easiest to use with a mining pool plus great performance results as well.
I created a comparison chart based on Hashrate and Cost – and only list cards currently for sale online. Check it out here:https://www.pyramidreviews.com/cryptocorner/mining-gpu-speed-and-price-comparison/
Building an Ethereum mining rig is really like growing your own money tree.  The rig will run and crank away and create wealth (in digital currency) while you sit back and reap the rewards.  It takes a little tech savviness but anyone can learn how to build their own rigs.
A: You can use any ETH wallet address for mining, but some exchanges do not allow mining or do not allow very small deposits so double check with the site if mining directly to a web-deposit address.  A good alternative to downloading the full Mist wallet and Ethereum blockchain is MyEtherWallet.com, which still allows you to manage your Ether wallet address and maintain control of your private keys (which is important for security and/or wallet backup and restoration if needed).
This article didn’t address the mining difficulty of Ethereum. At this point, is not a good idea to mine ethereum unless people have hash rates in the GH/s or at least MH/s. It’s better to mine other alt coins such as: XMR, LTC, and many others. Overstock.com will now accept 40+ different Altcoins as form of payment. Won’t be long before other companies do as well.
According to this calculator, if you started mining in January 2018, a year and a half in (day 476) you would start losing money since your Ethereum mining rig would cost more to run than it would generate in profit (again, assuming a static price in Ethereum).

GPUs while less powerful than ASICs give you the option to choose what coin to mine, as ASICs will only allow you to mine on a single algorithm. GPUs can swap different algorithms any time they like, and can also be resold to gamers, unlike ASICs which can only be sold to fellow miners.
So the platform itself has general practical value above all other crypto’s and that value grows with broader adoption. The high profitability of mining now is only because the mining infrastructure has not been able to keep pace with the growth in value. The huge Chinese farms that are coming online now are putting a huge dent in the equation though.
The thing is Ethereum is the cryptocurrency which is ASIC resistant; i.e you cannot mine it with any ASIC you will have to mine it with graphics cards. I have also inserted Amazon links as it may help you buy them.
I assume cards with 8+6pin would draw 150W+75W from the pcie cables so the powered riser may have less stress? But that would mean the riser needs its own power input cable which can be scarce depending on the PSU setup.
The calculator uses the latest average network hashrate and usd prices as the defaults. It will also provide an estimate of how long (in days) it will take you to mine a block statistically. Let me know if you any further suggestions or ideas
One of a kind mining rigs with 7-inch touchscreen and user interface. Thanks to SharkOS you can control the power of mining rig with a touch of a button and see real-time parameters for fan speed, power and other. No need to control remotely or use external monitor, mouse, and keyboard!

It isn’t only China mining centres. Genesis and quite a few other Western farms are being expanded and set up so yah! It’s still technically “impossible” for us to see mining become unprofitable for the general home miner isn’t it
The Cloud Mining Monitor (CMM) team is also committed to ensuring cloud mining reviews are constantly updated with the latest information which could impact enthusiasts looking to buy hashing power on these Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin cloud mining platforms.
The next step is to setup pool mining, as solo-mining is unlikely to make you any Ethereum unless you have a warehouse full of GPUs. Your first step will be to choose an Ethereum mining pool. There are plenty to choose from but we recommend Nanopool or Etheremine. The home page or help section of a mining pool site most likely contains instructions on how to mine on their pool using the popular Claymore miner.
To others who are reading this comment, this tutorial is for a single slot miner. A single slot miner has an overall lower footprint, both in terms of power draw and overall cost, compared to a multi-GPU miner. They are cost-effective only for those who want to get their feet wet since the cost of entry is fairly low.

  1. We will note that your rig won’t have a power button so you’ll need to jump the power switch pins on the motherboard. We used a screw driver to tap the pins to start the rig, but you could also buy a power button.
it will go down even more, not only because you can mine less and less but also the value of the coin is sinking and sinking (from 400$ per eth down to 200 and keeps sinking) and electricity cost is rising in many countries
This is an extremely inaccurate measure of future projected profits. Ethereum’s difficulty is exponentially growing and soon (6 months time) many of us are not going to be able to reach the hashrate possible to escape velocity of mining operating costs.
