R9 390(X) can boast a pretty good performance and achieves a hashrate similar to the GTX 1079 Ti and 1080 models. However, the price is far lower than theirs and R9 390(X) also has lower power consumption.
Note that R9s only have 4 GBs of RAM, which means that their performance is rapidly degrading with advancement of epochs, which means that you will be able to resell it later only at a very cheap price (once it’s no longer suitable for mining).
Recurring costs are fixed costs such as rent or internet. This value, along with power costs are subtracted from your revenue to give profit. Higher recurring costs mean lower profits and a longer break-even time.
Ethpool is another of the coolest Ethereum mining pools which serve in U.S, Europe, and Asia. It charges a fee of 1% on miner’s reward and offers a minimum payout of 5 ETH, which is not so good. However, it allows users to mine solo and contributes about 2% of hash rate power.

Bad job Tom’s. Just add fuel to the GFX card debacle. Irresponsible and just wrong. First the user must go out and OVERSPEND on a GFX card and then follow this article and start mining and increase the shortages even further. Hm, good job Tom, good job.
2. You say that “You can also change the memory clock. this has a smaller effect”. Is this for real? Everywhere I read about overclocking it has been said that the memory increase increases your hashrate. The core clock also increase it, but this affects the power consumption.
The easiest and quickest to get involved in is NiceHash. The NiceHash miner will automatically choose the best algorithm to hash, whether that’s Ethereum or something else, which pays out in bitcoin. To use NiceHash, simply visit the site and download the AMD or nVidia installer depending on what video card you have (note: some antivirus software picks up mining software as malicious files).
In March this year, the price of ether skyrocketed to an all-time high of about $25. It was a good time for investors in cloud mining ethereum who had seen the currency stagnated below $10 from the time it was launched in July 2015.
As we are assembling 6 GPU ETH mining rig you will need 6 of them. If you are low on budget you can always start with 4 of them and periodically increase them. GTX 1070 uses 150W of power which is also great.
“Hackers target 400,000 computers with mining malware”- I recently disabled my windows defender on one rig as it was causing issues. Is anyone using 3rd party antivirus/spyware software or windows defender?
This top is fairly thin as AMD options are either impossible to find in stock at this time, or come with artificially inflated prices that make them unprofitable. The RX480 and RX580 families have hash rates between 250 and 300 MH/s, which is not that impressive given their scarce availability. Similar hash rates can be achieved by NVIDIA’s GTX 1060 models, which tend to cost less, are widely available and are less power hungry, so it turns out that, overall, ZEC mining is a win for the green side.
Every developer seeking to engage and make use of smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain needs Ether to proceed. It is popularly called the fuel that runs Ethereum. It is a less expensive way of running transactions on the network when compared to buying Ether. You can also decide to sell your Ether after mining.

We compare all Crypto Currency mining providers in one place, whether you want to mine using a GPU or outsource the maintenance to another outfit – we show you the providers and whether they are legitimate in what they say they are going to give you.
PandaMiner is a cryptocurrency mining manufacturer focused on graphics card integrated miners. The GPU-based miners allow users to miner various cryptocurrencies like Ether, Zcash and many others. These GPU integrated miners are assembled with high configuration graphics cards and a tightly compatible case, professional rack and other optimized accessories for the highest mining efficiency.

If you’ve ever heard of cryptocurrencies, you’ve probably heard of mining. The sole reason most cryptocurrencies can function is due to mining. Without miners, the blockchain can’t be validated every time someone wants to make a transaction. If the blockchain doesn’t get validated, there is simply no way to know which transaction is legitimate and which is not.
Let’s look at these two words, hash and rate. A hash is a proof of work calculation that you do within a block. Once that block is done you move to the next one. All mined blocks are included within the blockchain. Hash rate implies the number of proof of work calculations in the network per given time. It is usually denoted per second.
An uncle is a stale block, usually beat to the blockchain by another block. The Ethereum network compensates miners for these though they receive a lesser reward. As you mine a block, you’ll receive a reward for no more than two uncle blocks included. The pay you receive is for uncles up to six blocks back.
What is the best GPU for mining ethereum in 2018? This question comes up a lot in the comments. If you’ve decided to build a rig using my GPU Mining Rig Build Guide this article should clear up any questions you have about the best currently available graphics cards for mining Ethereum.
Some settings should be modified in Windows to get you ready for mining.  First, you don’t want your computer to go to Sleep as it will interrupt your mining so go into your Power Settings and set it to “Never” turn off/sleep.
A: 99.9% of Cloud Mining sites are Ponzi schemes or fractional reserve Ponzi’s.  Even though there are a few that have been around a long time, there have been no 3rd party audits of the hashing power sold and profits are usually very low unless you are promoting heavily and getting others to join in (another red flag of ponzi related activity).  Short Answer – Our advice is DO NOT buy into Ethereum Cloud Mining sites or related Deposit Investment/HYIP programs.
This is an excellent graphics card for mining as it does not require any external power, so you can easily put it into any desktop PC with a PCI-E 16x slot. With a starting price of around $150 US dollars, and a mere power draw of <75W, it makes this card not only extremely efficient but extremely effective for cryptocurrency mining. If you are to get this card, I highly recommend mining the ETHash algorithm (Ethereum or Ethereum Classic) or EquiHash (ZCash). If you want the absolute highest hashrates you can currently get, then the NVIDIA Titan V is the master at a whopping 82 MH/s in Ethereum mining! Of course this card costs a whopping $3000 each.  Six Titan V GPUs in a miner would get you a 492 MH/s rate while setting you back a cool $18,000 USD.  And with a power demand of 250 watts you’ll be mining for 17 months before you break even. But then you don’t care about profit right? For example, whenever you decide to send some Bitcoin, Ether, or whatever other currency you’re using, you’ve probably noticed the added fee, which can either be listed as a “transaction” or a “mining” fee depending on your wallet. This fee gets tacked on to whichever miner “cracks” the code and completes the block. With every good there will be some complaints, as customers found that the product was that their card stopped working only after using it for a month. A few people have said that their card created a lot of buzzing, which was quite annoying. People have also mentioned that the fan was defective on their units, causing the card to overheat pretty quickly. You would need to flash your GPU BIOS using Windows. I have specifically not covered this in detail as it’s risky and I do not wish to take responsibility for flashed GPUs. However, there are plenty of sites out there that show you how to do it. The  Nvidia GTX 1070   is what I’ve been putting in all the rigs I’ve built for folks since about April of 2017 when all the AMD Rx 4 and 5 series cards sold out and doubled in price on secondary markets. It can mine at 30Mh/s while sipping only 100 watts of electricity. After testing several models, my favorite is the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Windforce OC (model # GV-N1070WF2OC-8GD). It has a twin fan design and seems to run cooler than most of the other 1070 models I’ve tested. If that model is unavailable, any twin fan designed 1070 will work well. Blower models like the Gigabyte 1070 Founders Edition mine at the same hash rate, but need more supplemental cooling like a box fan pointed at your mining rig. I’ve linked to Amazon above, but be sure to check eBay as well for availability since Amazon often limits the number of GPU units you can purchase.  Also, this calculator shows that DAG size will only reach the point to render 3GB unusable around the end of this year (block ~6.9 million, epoch 231), not epoch 180 like shown in the article.
