The value of Ether currently stands at around $950 and it is a more or less profitable venture for beginners as well as experienced miners. Ethereum also runs on a proof-of-protocol like Bitcoin and the following need to be taken into account when calculating the profitability of mining Ether.
Sapphire Radeon R9 295X2 is a clear winner in terms of hash tags, since it can deliver amazingly high hash rates to the tune of 46 MH/s. Apart from hashing power, Sapphire Radeon R9 295X2 is also regarded for a sound return on investment and a remarkable RAM of 8GB. However, owing to a huge gap between demand and supply, it is usually in short supply. This is also the reason for its inflated black market price that is almost twice its original price.
Cloud mining is basically a service that will allow you to pay for hashing power, which is hosted in data centres and sold in Gigahash/seconds (GH/s). Many cloud mining plans are available online but it is important to choose a reliable provider.
OK so this sounds like a problem with your graphics card driver. Are you using the latest driver for your card? If you’re using a standard Windows driver, this could be the cause of your problem. So I suggest you check out the relevant Nvidia or AMD website and get the latest GPU drivers for your machine.
Now the ethereum calculator gets the latest network hash rate from etherchain.org and the eth price from etherscan.io. The average blocktime represents the time in which a new block is generated and for each block 5 ETH are generated. Statistically you will be able to estimate how many ethercoins are generated by you given the fact that you know the whole network computing power. It’s your part of the pie. That means for each 17.84 seconds (assuming thats the average time until a new block is generated) you get 5 ETH * 25Mh / 591.2GH. But remember this is an average. The estimation should be quite exact for the near future but if you want to estimate for longer term there is much uncertainty regarding how those variables evolve(Average Block Time, Average Network Hashrate).
it will go down even more, not only because you can mine less and less but also the value of the coin is sinking and sinking (from 400$ per eth down to 200 and keeps sinking) and electricity cost is rising in many countries
Like most Bitcoin fans out there, I talk about Bitcoin a lot. From the person sitting next to me on the plane to the waiter serving my table drinks, every chance I get I end up talking about Bitcoin. This isn’t something I intentionally force on people, it’s something that just naturally ends up fitting into so many different conversations and every time a Bitcoin conversation starts, I eventually am asked the same question…
I think a lot of people are confused over what profitability really means. Sure everyone knows profit = revenue – cost. However, profitability of mining ETH is not simply “do I mine more ETH than cost of electricity?” This neglects the GPU/HW where it’s instrumentally important in both the revenue and the cost. If you’re doing it right, the price of the GPU/HW will be at least 2x the cost of the electricity for the whole mining lifespan of the card. Additionally, we’d hope that the final value of the HW is > $0.
Mining solo, while sometimes more profitable, it’s usually not the right choice for most miners. When mining solo, you are doing all the work alone which means that you’ll receive the entire block reward, the problem is that mining is also based on a luck factor, which means that if your hashpower isn’t high enough, you may never see a reward come your way. With pool mining, however, this variance is eliminated and you receive payments that correspond to the portion of the work that you have done.
As you can monthly profits reduce by near 1/3 every month with estimated total profits plateauing at $2750 around 6 months. A far cry from the $10,000 I was predicted to make. Sadly, this is barely enough money to pay for the rig I built for mining!
Another popular choice when it comes to Graphic Processing Units for mining Ethereum, the Radeon R9 HD 7990 used to be the biggest name till the R9 295X2 came along. This device is still in use by many users but the biggest drawback it offers is that it comes with a slightly higher price but offers a lower hash-power. Nevertheless, the R9 HD 7990 is still one of the best GPUs to mine Ethereum.
AMD’s cards are more popular with miners and they are likely the best choice for those who are budget-conscious. The fact that AMD’s quarterly sales are over 30% lower than Nvidia’s means that its top line receives a greater benefit from a given amount of mining-related sales. On the other hand, the top-end Nvidia cards outperform AMD cards in terms of power efficiency, and they are quieter and more versatile than AMD cards.
I think, you guys so good than others. So, I am comeback to Genesis!!! Why Genesis-mining? There is the backup plan for my favorite coins. And, there is some mining power w/ “none maintenance fees” .And promotion system!!!. Thank you guys. I’ll invest you guys soon.
First of all I would like to thank you all for your support. I really appreciate your interest in the project and the final products. To make things more simple and transparent, I’ve decided to keep this journal for those of you who are waiting to order the rigs. I know you want them ASAP ? and I thought time will go faster if you see how is everything going and how long will take until orders are available. Do let me know if you have any kind of recommendations or positive criticism!
So what’s the latest answer to this constantly-repeated question in the mining community? Ethereum is becoming even more profitable now after its first huge jump in price over the summer, which has meant even more to become suddenly interested. Especially since Ethereum is currently one of the most profitable coins to mine, it’s worth how the landscape has changed lately.
If you’re not already handy with computers, Linux/Windows scripting and command line, hardware troubleshooting, know how ethereum works, and can wait 2+ months to get the possibility of breaking even on your hardware purchase, you’ll get more for your money and time by focusing on learning how cryptocurrencies and trading work and perhaps invest some money (but only as much as you are willing to lose) and start trading it.
Finally, the Biostar TB250-BTC is also aimed at miners, and costs considerably less than the Asus and ASRock offerings. The Biostar board “only” supports 6 GPUs, but that’s likely all that the majority of us need. If price is your primary consideration, the TB250-BTC should be at the top of your list for 6 GPU rig builds.
As it always happens, this kind of shopping took almost the whole day. The only thing we’ve managed to do the same day was to cut a piece of the middle wall so the door could fit in. We’ll wait for someone experienced to install the door. We don’t want to mess things up!
Eobot is the easiest, cheapest, and best way to mine ETH. You can mine and hash cryptocurrency with Cloud Mining, or you can use any CPU or GPU for any coin, SHA-256 or Scrypt, any computer, as many computers, and with immediate mining results.
While you will still be using your GPUs or ASICs, you have the choice to choose between mining in a pool, or by yourself, hence “solo” mining. Pool mining is where you join with a group of other miners and every miner contributes to mining blocks. The difference between this and solo mining is that your payouts are more consistent. Solo mining is hard, especially if you are running a small rig because you will most likely not find a block for a very long time unless you get very lucky. You can use the Coin Warz calculator to estimate how long it will take you to mine a block by yourself. Another benefit of pool mining is that it’s more consistent. You will get your payments consistently, unlike solo mining where it may take a very long time to get your payout. I recommend the Ethermine.org and Nanopool.org pools, each have a large list of crypto-pools to choose from. You can also check if your rig is online here, as well as how much crypto you have mined.
Question mine under linux ubuntu debian arch centos or windows or ethos and why, thank’s for the réponse, thx 🙂 with 7970 R9 280 thx.For the best rentability and the best hashrate and pool nanopool ou suprnova or fly or other, thx i’m noob thx
For example, the GTX 1050 Ti doesn’t have a very high hashrate. However, it doesn’t consume much power either. In fact, buying four 1050 Ti’s would cost you the same as buying one R9 295X2 and they have a higher profit ratio.
The other night I was talking with a fellow affiliate marketer on Facebook, our conversation for some reason started to focus on investments, stocks, and cryptocurrencies. Seems that alternative finance income ideas…
The Bitcoin Gold GPU Miner 2000 H/s from Ethereumminer.eu  is a pre-built mining rig that offers the potential of a pretty excellent profit. While values may fluctuate, you could see this rig paying for itself after not long at all. Especially as it has recently had a price cut – something of a rarity with mining devices which usually see price rises! This rig can also be customised to suit your needs and budget.
Oh and one more thing: not all is bad for we PC gamers. Those of us who have previous generation GPUs have enjoyed watching the values of said cards go up. A friend of mine sold his 8GB RX 470 for $320 on eBay last month, or nearly $100 more than he paid for it. I sold my SLI pair of GTX 970s for $420 or about $120 more than they were worth combined a few months ago. We both upgraded to a GTX 1080Ti with the spoils.
The thing I liked the most about today is how we were able to build about 80% of the office. We have used aluminum bars and plasterboards to build the office partition. Office door installation is now also 90% completed – there are a couple of aesthetic details remaining here and there, but the door is already functional.
If you’re reading a newbie’s guide to Ethereum mining and have a GPU powerful enough to make it worthwhile, we’re going to assume you’re running Windows so we’ll focus on mining Ethereum on that platform.
When all three are connected my screen goes all wonky. Nothing really works. When just the two extenders are attached everything works fine. When just the single riser is attached everything works fine. But I can’t get all three to work at once.
Founded in 2014, WageCan is a Taiwan-based company that offers cryptocurrency-related services, including cards and wallets. HashCan is a Bitcoin cloud mining service provided by WageCan, allowing users to mine cryptocurrencies without having to set up and host the mining hardware itself.
From what we have learned from mining bitcoin back in 2013 to mining ethereum now is that the GPU’s that mine Ethereum produce a lot less heat then the SHA256 equipment we used for bitcoin but we have an open rig design to allow air flow to take away heat.
There is no doubt regarding the efficiency of AMD cards, and the Vega represents the latest in AMD GPU architecture. While the standard air-cooled Vega series runs a little too hot for serious overclocking, this special edition, with a bit of tweaks and work on overclocking, allows you to reach 42 Mh/s hashrate, while the power consumption will be lower than 300 W! This feature represents an amazing value and makes this card a perfect Ethereum mining hardware! The Liquid Cooled Edition can match the overclocked performance of Nvidia’s Titan Xp, but only costs half the price.
You can get plastic crates in most home improvement stores if you don’t want to ship it from Amazon (it’ll be cheaper, too!). I picked mine up at Lowe’s for under $5 each. You should be able to get everything else on the list at Lowe’s if you happen to have one near you, too. As far as tools go, you’ll need a drill and a knife capable of cutting into whatever plastic crate you buy.

    – Our mining plan at HashFlare has 25 MH/s mining power and gives us 2.5 US$ daily (ETH price stands at 1100$ and there are no maintenance or electricity fees). Currently, you pay for the same contract 550$. If Ether price and difficulty stay the same, payback time for this cloud mining plan is less than 7 months. As a contract lasts a year, you are 5 months in profit.
