Well.. this really was a very very hard and rough day, lot of work.. not sure with what to begin ? Since we finished with the electricity in the hosting room, now we have to work a bit on security measures.. so we decided to install some metal bars for protection. So we had to cut and weld them together then to install and weld them again to create a fence. We also covered the windows with some black material.
These cards are quite effective when it comes to power consumption and they are long considered the workhorse of GPU mining. The cards from the RX 400 and 500 series feature a really amazing cooling and can boast a performance that ideally matches the initial price, but the time has sadly arrived when the cards from these series must be put out to pasture – at least for Ethereum mining purposes. Yet, you can use an RX 580/570/480/470 only for mining altcoins, but unless you can find them at a good price, you should shun the rip-off prices that sellers often charge for these cards.
The most ideal mining hardware provides high hashing power at optimum power consumption. This explains why Ethereum miners prefer Graphic Processing Units over Central Processing units. GPUs are known to deliver higher hashing efficiency as compared with CPUs.
You may mix unpowered and powered risers, but the total number of unpowered risers should not exceed two (this includes GPUs plugged directly into the motherboard)! Motherboards are generally not designed to deliver more than 150 watts of total power through the PCIe bus, so GPUs on unpowered risers is the safe maximum (2 x 75 watts).
Mining runs the transaction and ledger network these coins run on. Thus miners are being paid to help run a financial network with their spare processing power. Anyone watch the show “Silicon Valley”? This is the future of computing – Mass Decentralized networks.
GPUs are up to 200 times faster and more effective when it comes to mining Ethereum than compared to mining via CPUs. GPUs with at least 3GB of RAM are recommended for mining. In the past this used to be 2GB but as the difficulty rises you would need more powerful machine. The best GPUs for mining Etheruem currently feature 8GB of Graphic RAM.
I thought I’d see a well-done article, covering the basics, ESPECIALLY hashes per watts in a table… that thing is ESSENTIAL whenever you use the word “efficient” when talking about mining cryptocurrencies!
This view looks at the number of coins you can expect to generate in the future. This view does not account for any expenses, it simply predicts how many coins you will generate with your given hashrate and the diff change value. A high diff change will cause you to generate fewer coins in the future.
The My Crypto Buddy calculator is another useful calculator which has the option to include difficulty into the calculations. This means that it decreases your mining profit each month depending on how much the site estimates that the network’s difficulty will go up or down. For example, if the difficulty goes up by 100 GH/s in one month, the calculator will then assume that every following month will incur a difficulty increase of the same amount. This leads to a problem. If in one month the network receives an abnormal  difficulty bump, whether due to a price increase of the currency leading other miners to join the network, or if AMD or NVidia release a new graphics card with a big hash rate boost, the MCB calculator will then use that abnormal value as the absolute value for every month, making the calculator unreliable. Though it is still useful to know that your mining income will decrease every month due to difficulty. This calculator also includes the mining pool fee.
This post is an early bird. While I won’t charge a lot for my work, the price will also be affected by the cost of each of the individual components of the rig. Therefore, my idea is to find the best deals for each of the components. The better the deal the lower is the price of the final product. Every penny I save on the components is a penny you save on the final product. That is my policy.
SharkMining was founded by BIZON company. BIZON is a Silicon Valley-based company specializing in software and hardware development of external graphics cards and high-end computers. 500+ companies trust BIZON (Tesla, Samsung, Google, Amazon, Oculus, Facebook, Stanford University). All the SharkMining rigs designed and assembled by the team of hardware and software engineers with 10 years experience.
The Sapphire Radeon R9 295X2 is usually available at a price of $600. However since it is almost always out of stock some users prefer buying it over eBay where it is sold for inflated rates of $1100-$1500.
I myself was very curious about this type of thing and hope to see more articles of it’s kind (to me more Hardware related than the numerous game reviews). One thing you did not mention however, is you could theoretically mine at break even, and if the Eth value explodes, discover your profit at that juncture. I guess that would make you more a speculator than a miner though?
Transaction Fees   This is a small, optional fee attached to a Bitcoin transfer. Upon the completion of all 21 million bitcoins being created, these fees will provide the reward to encourage miner to continue mining and verifying the network transactions.
