In an ideal world, we’d all be able to build the most efficient Ethereum mining rigs. In reality, you need to invest countless hours into researching the latest hardware setups and mining rings, and that’s where CoinMiner’s Mining Rigs come in. Our Mining Rigs are one of the best options out there — built to the best standards, with high hash rates, extensive quality control and full of power. Our systems are the best systems on the market.
February 16 marks a small 2-month anniversary since I’ve started to mine Ethereum and others altcoins. In today’s article let’s take a quick review and try to understand is GPU mining still profitable in 2018? It all…
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z270P — starting from $130. Go to your nearest computer store or order one at Amazon/eBay. Caution, we don’t recommend buying a used one. Z270P has slots for up to six GPUs and two M2 slots, which can be used to add two more GPUs through M2 to PCI-e adapter — a total of 8 GPUs.
There are several providers who offer cloud-based mining. Hashgains offer you a one year contract and from then there is no maintenance fee for you to bother about. In the cloud, you have guaranteed uptime of nearly 100 percent. Even if one miner goes offline for some reason, your provider will automate them on the other active machines.
Regardless, the devs made a pretty sterling effort in making Ethereum ASIC/centralization resistant, but that resistance has been weakened now by the delay in PoS. But, that just means we get to mine longer, even if it’s harder.
this is my 2nd opportunity to set mining at genesis mining. it is very easy to start mining with them, compared with do that by myself. just hope i will have a chance to buy the contract for BTC mining.
If you are planning on overclocking your GPUs, we recommend installing Afterburner. We use MSI Afterburner. For AMD GPUs you’ll need the latest beta version. You are going to adjust all the graphics card settings at your own risk – when in doubt, feel free to contact 2Miners on Telegram or Slack for advice.

I think, you guys so good than others. So, I am comeback to Genesis!!! Why Genesis-mining? There is the backup plan for my favorite coins. And, there is some mining power w/ “none maintenance fees” .And promotion system!!!. Thank you guys. I’ll invest you guys soon.
Gamers and computer enthusiasts upgrade their systems more than just about anyone. Motherboards, CPUs, and graphics cards sitting around after an upgrade are the perfect starting points for a hobbyist mining machine. You’ve already paid for these components and extracted value out of them. What’s more, you know their history and how well they’ve been cared for, which isn’t necessarily the case when buying discount used parts on eBay. With sufficient leftovers, you should be able to cobble together a competent mining machine, even if it’s not terribly impressive.
In our calculations, we also used a favorable, but not ideal, scenario for electricity costs. Consider the following three examples, one of an individual miner in Connecticut, one in Washington D.C., and our hypothetical mining rig:
i’m in europe and i don’t have to pay VAT on business expenses. i also can say that I invested 1000€ and so if I earn (from mining or any other business operation) 1000€ i made a net income of 0 – so my income tax is also 0 on that part.
So if i invest on genesis mining how much i will get every month and will there be any chance of my account and hash to be terminated next year if maintenance fees and electricity fees exceeds my daily profit ?
I’ll continue to scour for deals and add a card or two here and there for the right price, but I won’t pay over $280 for a card unless it’s a 580 8gb or 1070+ in which I have no NVIDIA cards at the moment anyway, and even then I won’t go much higher or I’ll just pass up the deal and be happy where I’m at.
The world has gone digital, from the development of smart homes to the development of innovations that promote seamless transactions. Every industry is feeling the impact of technology now more than ever. In every part of the world, the technologically driven goals remain the same: the maximization of profit and the promotion of sustainable development in all spheres of life. It is this yearning to make life as easy as possible that brought about the birth of cryptocurrency.
The Ethereum Daily Rewards Chart is misleading. The new supply of eth (block reward) is only one piece of the mining reward. Transaction fees are another important piece that has increased quite a bit recently. Not always a big factor, these fees have contributed between 1k to 3k to the daily total mining reward and are worth noting if future usage of the network skyrockets with various scaling implementations.

Ethereum introduces a host of new features over the original cryptocurrency, Bitcoin. These features include smart contracts, faster transaction times, and the ability to host applications on the Ethereum network. Read more about Smart Contracts and all the additions Ethereum has over Bitcoin!
AMD cards are likely the best choice for the budget-conscious. However, the top-end Nvidia cards outperform them in of power efficiency. Carefully weigh your options, and keep in mind your budget and power costs.
R9 390(X) can boast a pretty good performance and achieves a hashrate similar to the GTX 1079 Ti and 1080 models. However, the price is far lower than theirs and R9 390(X) also has lower power consumption.
You will now be prompted to create your access key aka “Key pair”. To use a virtual machine we first need an access key (keep it private!). Amazon AWS access keys consist of a public key and a private key.
There is much beauty in purchasing and setting up your own hardware, we know that. But it’s for those who are technically very skilled, can solve tricky complications, and generally see the fun in maintaining a complex construction rather than in earning profit with it. For most people these are annoying, unnecessary difficulties, and our solution is targeted exactly at them. To put it simple, our service is providing a better mining experience at a lower bitcoin mining cost.
We have our own proprietary cooling system, a product of our R&D that cuts cooling costs down by 80% from traditional airco solutions, while keeping the servers at low temperatures to ensure the longevity of the GPUs.
The logic behind the “more revenue than cost of electricity” definition of profit is like if someone were to say “Give me a million dollars to join my club. The membership entitles you to give me a dollar every day and I’ll give you $2. So every day you get 100% profit! Oh also in 6-18 months from now the membership expires. Best club ever” Yeah sure you’ll make more revenue than cost per day but overall it was a giant loss. Of course those are greatly exaggerated numbers to establish my point.
I think a lot of people are confused over what profitability really means. Sure everyone knows profit = revenue – cost. However, profitability of mining ETH is not simply “do I mine more ETH than cost of electricity?” This neglects the GPU/HW where it’s instrumentally important in both the revenue and the cost. If you’re doing it right, the price of the GPU/HW will be at least 2x the cost of the electricity for the whole mining lifespan of the card. Additionally, we’d hope that the final value of the HW is > $0.
A hash algorithm turns an arbitrarily-large amount of data into a fixed-length hash. The same hash will always result from the same data, but modifying the data by even one bit will completely change the hash. Like all computer data, hashes are large numbers, and are usually written as hexadecimal. BitCoin uses the SHA-256 hash algorithm to generate verifiably “random” numbers in a way that requires a predictable amount of CPU effort. Generating a SHA-256 hash with a value less than the current target solves a block and wins you some coins.
In terms of Ethereum mining performance, the R9 series has aged far more gracefully (even though it was introduced in 2015) than the more recent RX 400 / 500 series (which launched in 2016 and 2017, respectively).
Building an Ethereum mining rig is really like growing your own money tree.  The rig will run and crank away and create wealth (in digital currency) while you sit back and reap the rewards.  It takes a little tech savviness but anyone can learn how to build their own rigs.
 – A standard keyboard, mouse and monitor are needed.  If managing your rig remotely (not covered here in this beginner guide) you will want to get a headless hdmi dummy plug to plug into your rig so it boots into Windows properly for remote access.
Recently I ma waiting for this contract , b;cos mining difficulty for the Dash is low comparing the others. SO i want to grab the opportunity as quick as possible. luckily genesis offers it to me. thanks and best wishes,
We recently explored the idea of building a mining rig at no cost, simply using older parts we had lying on the shelf. My colleague, Eric Vander Linden, cobbled together a competent mining rig with zero upfront costs. The “free miner” includes two R9 290X GPUs, which net roughly 57 MH/s. At the current difficulty rate, that rig should bring in a little more than half an Ether per month, which would be profitable as long as the price of Ethereum doesn’t dip below $100.
4) RAM – or Random Access Memory – this is a basic component in any computer is basically a scratchpad for jotting down calculations and recalling information quickly in a computer. 4GB should do the job.

  1. With a modest rate of Hash power that stands at 24 MH/s, Radeon RX 470 has comparable features of Radeon RX 480. There are however minor differences between Radeon RX 470 and Radeon RX 480 which was designed initially as a graphic card for gaming activities. Popularity of this graphic processing unit for mining activities can be attributed to its robust processing power and satisfactory hash rates. In contrast, Radeon RX 470 was built for Ethereum mining right from the word go.
Following a guide like this: https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/guides/how-to-build-an-ethereum-mining-rig/ [5] will get you around 100MH/s with 5x Radion HD 7950 which go for around $200 each, plus mobo, case, RAM, PSU etc. You’re probably talking about $1400 or more all in. Then unless you have free power you’re looking at paying for 1kW of power, which depending on where you live, could be anything from $0.05/kWh to $.30/kWh (power usually gets more expensive the more you use per month). Let’s say $0.15/kWh – that is about $110/month.
Vitalik Buterin, the creator of Ethereum, announced earlier this year that the Ethereum network is going to switch from a proof-of-work to a proof-of-stake framework to confirm transactions. With a proof-of-stake system, holders of Ethereum stake coins by putting them up as collateral to validate transactions. This means that miners will soon be obsolete.
