In some cases, your motherboard BIOS might not be set-up correctly straight away. If you’re adding your GPUs one by one, and at one point your rig crashes, and you’ve eliminated GPU related issues, then it’s likely that your motherboard is the issue. Have a look around the forums for help, but often you will need a few settings changing. Personally, I’ve had experience with having to disable switch off some BIOS features and altering allocations, but system setups vary largely so I would say Google is your best friend.

For the 12/13 GPU mining rigs, the best motherboard to use is a ASRock H110 Pro BTC (Windows can only support 12 AMD GPU’s at the same time, you can combine 12 AMD + 6 Nvidia GPU’s but it’s not worth it, there are some 19+ Motherboards, but from personal experience you will have problems with them, so better stick to 6 or 12 GPU Mining Rigs)

But just like before efficiency rules the day, and that’s where the Polaris cards surprise us the most.  I know in gaming the 1070/1080 are leagues ahead, but this is computational and when CUDA Core and Stream Processor counts are similar this is where things tend to fall.  Impressive overall as I think back to just how much power my old 6x R9 270 LTC mining rig was pulling.
I’m having the same problem as Majorano. I double checked everything up until this point and I am 95% sure it is all correct. Here is what command prompt is giving me (my .bat file is called Armageddon):

My question is this: Can I run this mixture of cards altogether on the current version of Ethos? And will Claymore handle this mixture of cards too?
While some people have speculated that Bitmain is working on a new ASIC mining device for Ethereum, there’s no real evidence to back up these claims. Installed Mine.bat file in main folder and at startup. However, the last line, C:\windows\system32>ethdcrminer64.exe -epool…. , will not execute. States this file is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program of batch file. Why is this ethdcrminer64.exe file not found? Seems to be pointing to windows\System32 folder. Stuck in Mobile with the Memphis Blues again.
Memory: Depending on what motherboard you got you’ll need DDR3 or DDR4 memory. Chances are you’ll need DDR4 memory and we suggest using an 8GB of memory. The whole desire to switch to PoS is because PoW is ecologically irresponsible, however there were no viable energy efficient consensus algos at the time. PoS had to be researched and developed and can only be implemented once it is fully validated.
