To understand that, you need to understand that Ethereum has two parts. Like Bitcoin, Ethereum is a cryptocurrency. (Technically, the cryptocurrency is called “Ether,” but a lot of people refer to it as “Ethereum.”) Currently, Ethereum has the second highest market cap of any cryptocurrency (behind Bitcoin), and its price has been rising very quickly. As the S9 requires 1275 watts of power depending on your power type available you can either use two 110v PSUs such as a Gold rated 1000 watt PSU and a 650 watt PSU to power the miner. I see a lot of people are having this same problem. I believe that something must have changed in the new version of Claymore which is causing this error. Can you perhaps install an older version of Claymore?
After that scroll all the way down till you see your GPU’s, they are located at the end. Now after you found the GPU’s, select all sensors except “Memory Errors” and HIDE them (right click on the sensors and press “hide”). Ater that, you will have something as in the image below:
Im pretty sure claymore miner just sends over the 16MB cache to the GPU, and he just creates the data set locally on the GPU instead of the CPU. Its still brilliant, as there is like a 100x speedup in DAG creation, and eliminates the need to send the whole data set from CPU RAM over the bus to GPU VRAM, and no need to store it since the GPU can generate it fast enough.

To run your mining rig you only need about a 60gb hard drive which you should get as a solid state drive. This will allow the OS to run smoothly and prevent drive failures. If you plan on mining without a pool you’ll want to get a larger hard drive to download the entire blockchain (~10gb+) but we highly recommend using a mining pool.

@joeysteel – Ethereum isn’t being build with the purpose of giving miners a chance to make 150x on returns when Ether gets listed on markets, nor is it build to to give GPU owners a way to redirect their processing power to Ethereum because ASICs stole their lunch.

Currently, only the Star Wars Collector’s Edition model appears to be available from Nvidia. While these Jedi Order cards certainly look great, cosmetic features add nothing to the mining performance.
Requiring a tremendous amount of computer resources and quite a bit of processing power to solve challenging math problems to produce more impactful and more secure encryption protocols (amongst so many other things), blockchain essentially allows you to earn crypto currency by providing your computer resources to be used by the peer distributed network.
I’ve had success both ways and so if you run into an issue with one method delete the drivers and try the other method.  And if you do need to remove your drivers use the DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) program from Guru3d.com to remove everything cleanly and then start over.  
If you’re running a lot of GPUs (4+), additional tweaks might be necessary to ensure that they’re all recognized by the OS. Exact tweaks vary by motherboard, but setting the PCIe speed to Gen1 is usually a good place to start. No need to change anything now, but make a mental note that you may need to come back and play around a bit if all of your GPUs don’t show up in the OS later.
Each mining rig operates at a different level of efficiency and uses a variable amount of electricity. On the low end, miners typically draw ~100 W at their maximum load, but this can increase up to over 1000 W with more powerful and less efficient miners. With the amount of mining variation, you’ll want to calculate your power cost per day and compare that to the estimated return per day when picking out a miner.

Settling on a GPU is a complex task and you can browse plenty of advice about which ones are the most profitable based on hash rate performance, power consumption and the initial expense of the card. You probably want to set up a mining rig, a machine that might be composed of multiple GPUs and might take a week to build.
There are other video cards like the higher end R9 series from AMD that I’ve chosen to not include here simply because they are an older generation of video cards and use a lot of power by comparison. I’ll be updating this list of GPU mining video cards regularly as new cards from both AMD and Nvidia are released.

As there are no ASICs available for Ethereum, using a GPU is the next best thing. There are several reasons why there’re no ASICs for Ethereum. All Ethereum based coins use the Ethash algorithm for mining, an algorithm “designed to be ASIC-resistant via memory-hardness.”
DDR3 is pretty slow for ETH mining, look at the GDDR5X it’s slower than GDDR5 and DDR3 is way slower for mining, but it would be probably cost effective with those DDR3, seems like DDR4 are too expensive that’s plus.
