Mining is a word that originates from the gold analogy of the cryptocurrency sphere. It is not some get rich quick scheme. It requires time and effort to grow especially when you are working alone. The word was adopted because just as precious materials are difficult to see, so are digital currencies. Since mining must take place to increase the volume of precious metals in the market, digital mining must take place to increase the digital currencies in circulation.
I’m wondering if you can help me troubleshoot something with Claymore Miner, though. It randomly crashes on me without any error messages (even when I add pause to the end of the start.bat to check). Is this because of some instability in my hardware? I haven’t overclocked anything and this is a fairly recent installation of Windows 10. It could be that the graphics card (GTX 1070) itself was factory overclocked and I might need to underclock it.
Extra Fans. Especially if you have multiple rigs, then make sure you attach some additional fans to your case/ housing. Some people also use normal desk fans or in some cases high-power industrial fans. Check out my copper tube mining rig, to get some creative ideas about how to create a useful but attractive mining rig at the same time!

hey! first of all thank you for your immediate reply. Now the computer, after that it verifies the 4 things, it says “esecution of code impossible because “openCL.dll” was not found. Can you help me again?
Hello, first, thank you for the tutorial, miner appears to be functioning. Hoever, it’s not working properly on my machine. I keep getting a Watchdog Error: must restart GPU. Please help me sort this error out. Thanks.
 – For Power Supplies, you want to double check that your PSU has enough connections to support the number of GPU’s you are running and enough overall wattage to support your total system power draw (and to give yourself some buffer of at least 10-15%). A helpful site for identifying how many 6 or 8 pin PCI-E power connections your GPU will require is here (Realhardtechx.com) and to get a sense of your overall system power draw, this is a good power consumption calculator (outervision).  Pro Tip: if building multiple rigs stick with the same brand PSU as you can use extra cables on your other systems if needed (e.g. I use only EVGA G2 PSU’s so if I have extra VGA, sata or molex cables from one build I can use them on another build).
Due to the popularity of smart contracts, Ether, the cryptocurrency used within the Etherum ecosystem, saw a tremendous increase in value recently, which quickly made it one of the most sought after digital currencies out there. And so the Ether gold rush craze began.
F2pool – Also known as Discus Fish (https://www.f2pool.com/).  F2pool has been operational since 2013 and contribute about 24% of the network hashrate.  Payments are also made via the PPS method and on a daily basis. The site is predominantly Chinese but has an English interface and has servers across Asia to ensure security and redundancy. F2pool can also be used as a litecoin mining pool.
Congratulations! You are now the proud operator of your very own custom built 6 GPU ethereum mining rig. Be sure to also check out our reviews of the best Litecoin mining hardware and Bitcoin mining hardware.
The motherboard is the most important aspect to any mining rig. The reason for this is that it needs to be able to support all of your GPUs. If you only plan on having one or two, then it’s not so important. However, most people will aim to maximize and have 6 GPUs in a single rig. There are very few motherboards that will support the running of 6 GPUs. The big advantage with mining is that you can run the GPUs from x1 PCIe slots, so you don’t need to find a motherboard with 6 x16 PCIe slots.
For example, the RX 580’s hashrate has fallen from 23 MH/s (140 epochs) down to 18.5 MH/s (162 epochs). While the RX range is still great for mining other GPU coins, it’s quickly becoming obsolete for Ethereum mining.
Ether mining still relies on finding solutions to complex mathematical problems, and processing power is still a key factor, so more power you have at your disposal, the higher your earnings. Here are your best options:
Note that Bitcoin ASIC chips generally can only be used for Bitcoin mining. While there are rare exceptions – for example chips that mine both Bitcoin and Litecoin – this is often because the chip package effectively has two ASICs: one for Bitcoin and one for Litecoin.
Is Ethereum mining profitable? This is one of the most asked questions about ethereum mining. The response is not so simple and clear because not all the parameters can be anticipated. Profitability depends on the hashrate and on the price of hardware and electricity but also on Eth price and on the how many other people are mining in the network. While most of the parametes are steady the last 2 are can change from on day to another.
A: This guide covers using Windows 10 (make sure it’s 64 bit).  There are also various distros of Linux that can be used (not covered here).  But Windows is the easiest to configure and get up and running fast.  There is no Mac version at this time.
A nonce is essentially a binary number which produces a distinctive hash value. The network sets a definite target hash value for every new block occurring in the blockchain and all the miners computing on the network attempt to guess the particular nonce that will produce that value. This is a vicious cycle until the right one is eventually found, which is proof of work and the miner is awarded the block (receives five ether) and the process is rollback.
When choosing a GPU for mining, you want a good balance of low power usage (assuming you pay for electricity) and great hash rates. I’ve listed my recommendations below in the order of what I would buy if I was building a rig today.
Hi dear mike. my motherboard is asus h87-pro and i install 16g of DDR3 ram and i decided to buy two graphic cards for my system to start mining ETH or XMR. the electricity is free and if u suggest any gpu please tell me about what power i should buy too. thank u so much dude .
Ethermine allows you to set the minimum payment threshold needed to receive your rewards. If you want to receive your payments infrequently, you can set the threshold to the maximum of 10 ETH. Set your threshold to the 0.05 ETH minimum to receive payments more often.
With mining rigs, you want the lowest clocked CPU, bare minimum RAM, 5,6 or 7 GPUs and a very basic HD.   Oh, and as you can see from the picture, you don’t want nor can you fit all those GPUs instead of a normal case.  You can use a nice custom made case as you see above or something cheap like a milk crate.

Motherboard – ASRock H170 Pro4/D3 Intel H170 S1151/4xDDR3/2xPCIEx16/HDMI/DVI/USB3.0/ATX Motherboard. $145. This motherboard has 2x PCIe 3.0×16 and 3x PCIe 3.0×1, takes socket 1151 Intel 6th generation CPU and dual Channel DDR3/DDR3L 1866(OC) RAM. This motherboard only has 2 PCIe 3.0 x 16 slots which are too close together, so choose a better motherboard if you can.
Sounds simple, right? You can make things a little simpler on yourself by directing your GPU toward a ethereum mining pool because you have better chances of earning Ether in a regular, more predictable way.
