I speak from REAL experience here, not theory. Despite how some (or most haha) may be wrong, I’m just speaking from my personal experience and what I’ve read online. Lots were trial and error. It’s impossible for me to believe that memory clock has any bearing on gpu mining when I’ve tried both extremes with no difference.
However, as interest in the project grew, this idea became more controversial. Not everyone involved with Bitcoin Gold likes the idea of an additional founders reward – something Bcash, for example, did not have.
As for the RX 500 and 400 series GPUs, memory capacity clearly isn’t the issue as the 8GB cards still suffer. I believe the issue is memory bandwidth, at least when comparing the RX 580 to the R9 390, for example. That said this doesn’t explain why Nvidia’s GTX 1050 Ti sees no performance degradation, so perhaps it is a driver issue. Compared to the R9 390 series which features a massive 512-bit wide memory bus for a bandwidth of 384 GB/s, the RX 580 uses a 256-bit wide bus for 256 GB/s. So that could certainly explain the issue, at least when comparing those two GPUs.
There are two types of mining hardware: CPUs and GPUs. GPUs boast a higher hash rate, meaning they can guess puzzle answers more quickly. At time of writing, GPUs are now the only option for ether miners.
Once installed, run the program and wait as the program will run a quick scan to detect your hardware and install software. Once this is complete, enter your bitcoin address in the top. This is important otherwise you will not get paid. Once you’ve inputted your bitcoin address, click on the benchmark button and start the scan. Once this is done you’re ready to start mining.
Never underestimate the power of the Radeon RX 400 series. The Radeon RX 480 is not only the cheapest GPU in this list, it is also easily the most economic GPU. This card has a hash rate of 25 MH/s while only drawing 150 W at max load. You’ll make over $700 USD annually per card! Comparitively to the RX 580, this card is an awesome Ethereum miner!

At the beginning of the install process go to CUSTOM instead of Express and ONLY select “AMD Display Driver” and “AMD Settings”. During install SKIP  the installing of ReLive,  because we won’t need it.
By design Ethereum is ASIC resistant to avoid mining centralisation and to createa more fair currency. It implements Ethash(the pow algorithm for ethereum) which needs lot of memory unavailable for ASIC chips. So by design we don’t need ASIC mining so it’s a waste of effort to try building an ASIC miner.

Windows 10 Professional and up have the built-in option to use Remote Desktop, although it’s disabled by default and must be configured. It’s a fine option if you’re looking for something basic and don’t want to install additional software.
The program might say that you have insufficient memory on your Graphics card to mine Ether, with Ethereum’s Ethash algorithm. If this is the case, you can still mine with your CPU, or go out and buy a new graphics card! If you get an error message like this, tap Ctrl+c, to cancel the process. Then you can either retry it, or alternatively, move onto step 16, and mine with your CPU, rather than your GPU.

Ethereum ist also noch recht jung und dies ist auch der Grund dafür, warum sich ein Einstieg in das Mining jetzt noch lohnen könnte.
There may not be enough data to verify this and I am aware that correlation does not mean causation so I have no problem if you take issue with this point but if you look back at Bitcoin and Litecoin they both started out as CPU mined coins. When they both finally exploded was when GPU mining became possible. I am sure there are many other factors but if you look at coins which are only CPU based, like primecoin etc, they have failed to capture any large market cap despite being longer lived and innovative. Primecoin is now GPU minable. I’m curious to see where that road leads.
