“Ethereum Bergbau Stratum”

Once installed, your node can ‘talk’ to other nodes, connecting it to the ethereum network. In addition to mining ether, it provides an interface for deploying your own smart contracts and sending transactions using the command line.
I highly recommend purchasing coins with the exchange Binance or Coinbase (if you just want Ethereum). Binance has by far the most variety of tokens to invest in, Coinbase has an amazing user experience and both are considered extremely secure. To purchase coins with Coinbase click here, or with Binance click here.
Mist and Ethereum Wallet are the official developments by the Ethereum team. While at the heart of it it’s straightforward to use, it does pack a lot of extra features. Since it’s integrated with ShapeShift, you can also accept payments from Bitcoin other altcoin accounts as well. It also allows you to develop Ethereum based apps and services – a.k.a. Smart Contracts.
Ethereum launched Frontier – the first release of the project including actual mining of Ether with CPU and GPU at the end of last month. The Frontier release comes with a command line only interface with a Javascript environment that allows building, testing, deploying and using decentralized applications on the Ethereum blockchain. Ethereum is being described as a decentralized platform that runs smart contracts: applications that run exactly as programmed without any possibility of downtime, censorship, fraud or third party interference. So far the available code is mostly intended for developers and though the network is active it is not very user friendly to normal people that might be interested in trying to mine Ether. Ethereum’s next release named Homestead is supposed to offer in a few months a user friendly interface for normal users.
What I recommend is running a command prompt (I assume you’re in Windows) and then navigating to the Ethereum folder and running the bat file. Doing it this way, the output will not disappear and you’ll be able to get the error message which will help in diagnosis.
I purchased 6 1070 FTW edition GPUs and they have two 8-pin power connectors each. Do I need to get more powers supplies to accommodate the extra 8-pin slot? Also, should I have connector branch from the power supply to both 8-pin slots or give each slot on the GPU its own connector to the power supply?
For purposes of this guide, we are going to do a detailed walk-through of setting up and using the very popular Claymore Miner.  Get the current version here from Claymore’s original Bitcointalk thread and then follow along with the steps in this video.  The whole process of getting a wallet setup, downloading your miner, configuring things in Windows and setting up your batch file to run should take less than 10 minutes:
@jstefanop Yes, I understood that part And it is indeed a slick improvement to the current implementation. I was asking @work about the ASIC “on the fly” DAG calculation in the kernel inner loop that I *think* he was putting forward as an ASIC alternative to doing random memory accesses to fetch the DAG bits from the whole DAG stored in GPU memory. Sorry for the long sentence.
So you just found out about Ethereum mining and looking to build your first Ethereum mining rig. This guide will walk you through choosing GPUs, hardware, and what software to run for mining Ethereum.
Psychologically, I would be more excited to see my account balance change by tiny amounts over time rather than waiting several days even weeks. Seeing instant change tells me that progress is being made. No need to hop pools or buy the latest hardware upgrade. I would just have my mining node run in the background.
The Ethereum vision is the building of a long lasting ecosystem through the development of a inclusive community of entrepreneurs, developers and investors working together to build the future of applications on decentralized networks, making a profound societal, financial and even yes – cultural impact.
“Bitmain is about to release F3, the ethereum ASIC miner. It’s reported that every miner is mounted with 3 mainboards. On each mainboard there are 6 ASIC processors, each of which has 32 1GB DDR3 memory. Therefore, one unit of F3 miner contains 72 Gigabyte DRAM memory.”
Mining Ether takes up a lot of electricity. On the plus side, though, if mining practices are carried out efficiently more income is generated through the sale of Ether. Ethereum mining calculators are available for calculating profits. So, there’s no need to get worked up since you’ll still get a profit at the end.
If you believe in the Ethereum concept (despite the failure of the DAO and doubts regarding the viability of Ethereum’s approach), you can support and gain voice in the Ethereum network through mining.
Now you need a place to store the Ethereum you are going to mine so you have to make a wallet. I recommend Mist if this is your first time. There are command line utilities available too, but Mist has a nice GUI and there are a bunch of guides on how to make a wallet and get your address.
You can determine the rating for efficiency by dividing the hashrate by the power consumption. Newer cards are usually more efficient. This rating is of prime importance—given that electricity is a fixed, ongoing cost. In other words, the more efficient your card, the more profitable it will be once you’ve received the ROI.
Now that you have your wallet ready, you will need to get Geth to start communicating with the rest of the Ethereum network.  Type geth –rpc and hit enter.  The screen should start downloading the blockchain for Ethereum.  You are synchronizing with the rest of the Ethereum network while it is downloading.  The process can take up to a few hours so be patient.
You need to open up another command prompt, as in step 4. You are going to see two scary looking boxes! Simply right click on your already opened command prompt, in the taskbar at the bottom of the page, and click on the command prompt in the menu that appears.
Windows 10 introduced forced updates as a pretty controversial “feature”, and not having control over when your mining rig is rebooted to install OS patches could be frustrating. We’ll be setting things up so that your mining rig automatically begins mining any time Windows boots, so leaving automatic updates in place certainly wouldn’t be disastrous if you want to skip this section. But if you’d prefer to retain control over downtime, here are some workarounds:
Das Alpine-Mining Projekt ist das Ergebnis der Zusammenarbeit eines jungen, leidenschaftlichen Schweizer Teams, das seine Hingabe für eine durch den Bitcoin bekannt gewordenen Technologie teilt. Unser Ziel ist es, Blockchain Technologien zu verbreiten und einen Service anzubieten, der es ermöglicht, auf eine einfache und vorteilhafte Art und Weise an diesen Netzwerken teilzunehmen.
Step 5: You need to tell your Geth program to create a new account. As you have installed it in your user directory in Step 2 then it is just a simple case of typing in “geth account new” and then pressing return/enter. This should look like this “C:\>geth account new”.
In the early days of Bitcoin Core (BTC), mining used to be done using the CPU on your computer. Nowadays though as the amount of people mining has increased the difficulty of Bitcoin Core mining has also increased too. This high difficulty and hash rate has mostly been fueled by the introduction of ASIC mining chips. Bitcoin Core uses SHA-256 cryptographic hash function to secure the blocks and create the hash for each block. This encryption is what protects the transactions in the block from being altered.
