That would be if you are in Europe as you see from -epool and -dpool addresses. Always chose the pool that is closes to you to reduce the ping/latency. It can be found under “Help” section of Nanopool, all different pool addresses are listed there and chose the one on your Continent.
Delivery will be arranged after the order is fully paid. Delivery service is provided by third parties such as the national post services or international express shipping couriers such as DHL, UPS, FedEx. The international express shipping couriers are usually door-to-door services. Please note that we may choose a different service (an optimal option on the occassion) rather than the option as displayed when you placed order.
Goodnight everyone, I’m trying to mine with my Zogis video card Gforce 6500 1gb ddr2. however appears a driver mensangem cuda wrong version. already installed the nvidea driver straight from the site, both in windows 7 as the 10 in opcl also does not work in certain mining CPU. I’m just not getting the video card. Anyone know why?
This point can also be addressed in two ways: empirically and theoretically. Empirically, botnets so far have not been substantially involved in mounting 51% attacks in existing altcoins, generally, they are content simply to extract revenue as “legitimate” miners. Theoretically, the current public prominence of botnets as a threat is backed largely by their performance in network flooding / denial of service attacks – situations where each computer in a botnet is only used for the number of connections that it can make. In the context of mining, however, botnet-infected computers tend to be running older operating systems and have weaker specifications, meaning that they will have a much lower performance and impact on the network than their size might initially suggest.
Another option is to specify “-allcoins -1”, in this mode miner will start devfee round immediately after start and therefore will get current epoch for Ethereum, after that it will be able to mine Ethereum fork.
As of this writing, the network is already over 450,000 blocks, so geth is going to take a long time to download those blocks. Your only indication that blocks are being added to the network is if it says “importing 256 blocks” (or something to that effect). If you run geth and don’t see that after a few minutes (or a few seconds?) you’re likely not connecting correctly.
Ethereum intends to switch to a Proof of Stake scheme called Casper. Although this switch has been delayed, it’s reasonable to expect that it will occur in late 2018. Ethereum mining will no longer be possible after that, unless a hybrid Proof of Work/Proof of Stake model is implemented.
Some settings should be modified in Windows to get you ready for mining.  First, you don’t want your computer to go to Sleep as it will interrupt your mining so go into your Power Settings and set it to “Never” turn off/sleep.
I can understand you not wanting a ton of scrypt coin mining rigs turned to Ethereum right away, but also consider that a big reason Scrypt took off was it gave former Bitcoin miners a new platform for their hardware after ASIC made GPU mining basically impossible. The same thing could be happening to scrypt soon, with a number of ASIC miners having been announced now.
The Shares section relates to how the work is divided by different machines in the mining pool to ensure everyone receives a fair reward in line with work done by their machine. See the Bitcoin wiki for more information on this.
Dear juan jose, I’m experiencing a problem that showed up today, after an unwanted windows update (that I was stopping for about 3 weeks), my mining rig slowed down a 35% in hash rate. I have windows 10. Are you or anyone else you know having the same problem ?
Motherboard – ASRock H170 Pro4/D3 Intel H170 S1151/4xDDR3/2xPCIEx16/HDMI/DVI/USB3.0/ATX Motherboard. $145. This motherboard has 2x PCIe 3.0×16 and 3x PCIe 3.0×1, takes socket 1151 Intel 6th generation CPU and dual Channel DDR3/DDR3L 1866(OC) RAM. This motherboard only has 2 PCIe 3.0 x 16 slots which are too close together, so choose a better motherboard if you can.
While the ROI – Return on Investment can go past a year for the Ethereum mining GPUs that have been mentioned above, it can be reduced if you opt to use more than one GPU. You will not get much by using just one video card to mine, and so deciding to purchase more than one GPU will be the best thing to do. But before you fully venture into that, you should also make yourself aware of the profit your mining rig will bring as well as the amount of money that you will spend on the energy.

Once you have saved your setting the miner will start mining on your pool. It can take from a couple minutes to up to an hour for your full hash rate to show up on your pool. Now you can go to the Miner Status page and you will see how your miner is performing and if the connection is live, temps, hash rate, etc. If you also go to your Bitcoin Core mining pool you can see your status. You are now mining BTC.
Please note that once you make your selection, it will apply to all future visits to NASDAQ.com. If, at any time, you are interested in reverting to our default settings, please select Default Setting above.
(Update: Bitcoin Core is less usable as money due to much higher fees and delayed transaction times. The Core team has also expressed an interest in keeping these fees high since they view BTC as a “store-of-value” and not something to be transacted on a daily basis. In contrast, Bitcoin Cash’s transaction fees cost pennies and payments can be validated even with zero confirmations. These facts make BCH the ideal cryptocurrency for sending and receiving money anywhere in the world.)
It would take a lot of money and research to develop a new ASIC mining unit for Ethereum. Even though the altcoin’s algorithm is not ASIC-resistant by any means, there is no reason for companies such as Bitmain to explore ASIC ventures in the Ethereum ecosystem. That’s because there is a very real chance that Ethereum will switch to proof-of-stake in the near future, which would render any real mining efforts completely obsolete. When the switch to PoS will occur exactly has yet to be determined, though.
All mining activities run on the GPUs so you won’t need a very powerful CPU to run the rig. Your CPU won’t be used during mining so a lower power chip is prefered. An Intel i3 or Celeron chip will work just fine in a LGA 1150 motherboard.
The CPU is the Central Processing Unit of your computer. Intel and AMD produce the vast majority of them. CPUs are essentially the brains of the computer. “It performs all the tasks that we would typically associate with computing,” such as saving a document by writing it to your hard disk. “Most of the other computer components are really there to support the operation of the CPU.”
Second, I worked out a way to benchmark using different DAG (directed acyclic graph) file sizes. Chances are the other clients can do this as well, I just didn’t work out how. I felt it important to test various DAG file sizes to show future performance as well. As the DAG file size increases, so too does the difficulty. A new DAG is generated for each epoch around every 30,000 blocks and right now is estimated that this will happen every 4 days or so. For example, at the start of the month Ethereum was at DAG epoch #126 and now we’re already over #130 and next month we should hit #140, but don’t hold me to that.
