Security teams rapidly responded to the threat and sinkholed the C&C server in December last year, but it is possible this new variant is the creation of the same threat actor, due to similarities in code and scanning capabilities.
By this stage, you will understand how bitcoin works, and what mining means. But we need to get from theory to practice. How can you set up a bitcoin mining hardware and start generating some digital cash? The first thing you’re going to need to do is decide on your hardware, and there are two main things to think about when choosing it:
Bearing in mind that electricity usage and efficiency are some of the most significant factors to consider here, you shouldn’t also forget that cheap mining hardware will bring in fewer Bitcoins. Be ready to spend much if you need an efficient and fastest Bitcoin mining hardware. The price and hash rate should not be the only guiding points when looking for the best Bitcoin miner. Just aim for the value, and while doing that, remember that the best ASIC miner is definitely is one that is most efficient.
For what it’s worth, certain GPUs require the DAG to be uploaded in chunks. You should search on the forums with the name of your card to find if this solution has worked for other users running the same hardware.
One measure of AC efficiency is EER. It’s a measure of cooling capacity (in BTU per hour) by input power (W). A typical AC unit might have a EER of 10. If you convert the units, that’s 2.9 W of heat removed per watt of power consumption by the unit. So your cooling costs would result in an extra ~33% on your power bill, not an extra 100% (double).
If you are building a “mega rig” which has 6 GPU’s you might find it more cost effective to have two separate power supplies because at 750 Watts and $100 each rather than a 1500 W and $300 dollars! We got a Seasonic 1200 Watt which you can buy here.
Well for Antminer i used Angry ip Scanner program to scan for IP addresses and find all the hardware installed, then run on website for example: 192.168.1.4 (I use this address for Antminer, it asks me for the password though, and it was (user: root, password: root, then i changed it, and i could configure the system for mining bitcoin) I am not sure if it is the same for Ethereum mining?
On the other hand, there are people putting ether in contracts that don’t let them withdraw for some long period of time, because they think long-term the value will go up and they don’t want to risk short-term fluctuations scaring them into selling when the price drops. Staking would be perfect for them.
After a bit digging, the culprit is likely the method of which my RX 580 GPU is connecting to my MacBook Pro. The eGPU enclosure that houses the RX 580 is connected via Thunderbolt 3 and as fast as that port is, the bandwidth is restricted to 1/4 the full x16 speed of a PCIe slot. So even if I had all 4 of my Thunderbolt 3 ports connected to eGPU enabled RX 580s, I still would not get the performance of a single RX 580 connected via a PCIe slot on a PC.
James Clerk Maxwell said of the aether, “In several parts of this treatise an attempt has been made to explain electromagnetic phenomena by means of mechanical action transmitted from one body to another by means of a medium occupying the space between them. The undulatory theory of light also assumes the existence of a medium. We have now to show that the properties of the electromagnetic medium are identical with those of the luminiferous medium.”[4]
The Process of mining is essential to decentralized Ethereum network as it is used in smooth functioning, verification, and propagation of blocks, apart from an increase in the number of circulation of Ether. Ether is rewarded as an incentive for more people to join the blockchain and increase the network width.
Troubleshooting tip:  Some miners have had success installing all GPU’s at once and then installing the drivers.  Others prefer to install only one card, install the drivers, shut down the system and then install the rest of the GPU’s and then just let them all be recognized by Windows (you’ll feel the system lagging, some flickers, or brief black screens while each card is detected by Windows).
I notice in my trading a lot of trends. One is that whatever ethereum does, ethereum classic tends to lag, but eventually follow a similar percentage increase/decrease pattern. So, I sold half of my tradeable ethereum (yes, there is ethereum that will not be traded for a while) and bought into Ethereum Classic, Library Credits and TRST.
If you want to mine Ethereum, you will need the following: Ethereum mining software and hardware, an Ethereum mining pool, and the Ethereum hardware wallet. Let’s be practical and discuss one thing at a time.
I have been mining with nicehash for aroudn a month. Today I just got back from a 3 week holiday to find the 6 x RX570 Cards that I had ordered have arrived. So I have just plugged in 4 of them to up my mining. I love mining and intend to convert all my earned BTC to steem power.
I think you read this wrong. I didn’t write this saying “These are the exact steps and parts list you need.” It’s simply saying, “Here’s a basic idea you can possibly adapt to your own circumstances.” No, not everyone has a 290X in storage. But a lot of people do. My current “leftover” GPU is an R9 280. That’s plenty strong for some hobbyist mining.
Looks interesting, but sounds too much like the Aether witch is also the opposite of the nether and also has the flying pigs. (just as a heads-up, the Aether is currently updating and adding features)
Not happy with how netherrack looks orange, magma becomes a bright orange, and lava is like a blinding, golden fire, no matter what texture pack I use, or with no texture pack. There is also a general haziness to everything, like moving through a thin fog on a spring morning, only it’s everywhere. Sort of like very early ENBSeries on Skyrim before it actually worked correctly.
hi!: do you know if win 7 64 have a limit of videocards, because i use a h81 pro btc, and 6 gigabyte r9 380, and in windows device manager say taht 2 video cards are disable, i change the video cards and only use 4 and all work.
How do you calculate the power supply needed? Well if your 1 GPU consumes about 150W than 6 GPU’s will make up to 900W but there are other components that will be attached to the PSU. You might even attach a monitor or a screen to view your hashing power.
It could still be profitable. Hashflare raised their prices recently but Hashzone, based out of Amsterdam Netherlands, has cheaper mining contracts compared to Hashflare and for a limited time they’re giving away 20 GH/s free with new sign-ups. Also, they have a great support team. Been happy with them.
A: This guide covers using Windows 10 (make sure it’s 64 bit).  There are also various distros of Linux that can be used (not covered here).  But Windows is the easiest to configure and get up and running fast.  There is no Mac version at this time.
So I’ve started playing Aether Legacy now and when I crafted a zanite axe and chopped down a golden oak tree, I didn’t receive any golden amber, even tho zanite should be enough. So I switched to a test world, gave myself a gravitite axe just to see if I would get golden amber with a gravitite axe at least. I did get golden amber, but on every single log, which shouldn’t be the case it’s a bit too op. Also: I even got it from regular skyroot trees(!) and also from already placed log(!). Please fix this!
