From the 16th until the late 19th century, gravitational phenomena had also been modelled utilizing an aether. The most well-known formulation is Le Sage’s theory of gravitation, although other models were proposed by Isaac Newton, Bernhard Riemann, and Lord Kelvin. None of those concepts is considered to be viable by the scientific community today.
In principle we need a monitor to be able to use and visualize the operating system and the mining software. Also a standard hard disk of about 120GB of storage and a DDR3 or DDR4 RAM with a minimum of 4GB.
– Ambient temperature affects how much you can overclock your card before it burns out. So some guy in Canada will have natural cooling as opposed to some guy closer to the equator with a 30degC ambient temp. You cannot rely on other people’s reviews and achievements to be the same for you.
I started this project with consideration for the heat that the rig would generate. Earning a little bit of extra money doesn’t make sense if I have to live in misery in a hot sauna. I placed the miner in my basement, which is typically cool.
Hi Jerry, I watch most of your videos. Thanks so much. I am already mining Ethereum and a few other cryptos. Today, with a rig that cost me EUR 2.600,– to build, I have a revenue of EUR 28,–/Day and EUR 5,–/Day electricity bill. Check out my configuration here: https://steemit.com/cryptomining/@lucky.digger/a-test-rig-that-cost-me-eur-2-600-to-build-costs-5-electricity-per-day-and-has-revenue-24-per-day-is-that-a-business
If you want to get fancy you COULD get a water cooled rig or system… but you would pay more and it wouldn’t be worth it in terms of TIME/PROFIT, COST/PROFIT, COOLING/PROFIT… it would be better for the GPUs, they would feel more ‘confortable’… but they wouldn’t run any faster………
Could I use this setup to install 2 GPUs RX 460 instead of one? I know that will drive the power cost up but Im wondering if the motherboard would take it. I don’t mind an extra 100 watts for 11 MH/s of ETH
If you’re into Linux, Eth OS is a 64-bit Linux OS that mines Ethereum, Zcash, Monero, and other GPU-minable coins.  If you’re a windows guy, here is Windows 10.  If you’re going to be using Windows, you’ll need mining software.  Take a look at this Ethereum Mining on a Windows PC guide.
Great information but I still can’t decide. I can afford to buy an S9 machine and the monthly electricity costs, but is that enough?? How long is an S9 expected to be the best machine? 2 years or 6 months? And what’s the typical share from a pool? If 12.5 pts. of a coin is earned in say a month, do 10, 50, 200 miners share in it??
The creator of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin, announced last year that the Ethereum network is going to switch from a proof-of-work to a proof-of-stake framework to confirm transactions. With a proof-of-stake system, holders of Ethereum stake coins by putting them up as collateral to validate transactions.
Nogle af de ovennævnte betingelser i fed kræver sandsynligvis yderligere afklaring for cryptocurrency nybegyndere. Lad os starte med den Ethereum blockchain; den distribuerede digitale Finans, som du faktisk mine.
but what really makes ethereum stand out is that all the people who use their computers to mine money adds to a “supercomputer”.. like me and your computer merges together and then creates one computer that is twice as strong.
Question mine under linux ubuntu debian arch centos or windows or ethos and why, thank’s for the réponse, thx 🙂 with 7970 R9 280 thx.For the best rentability and the best hashrate and pool nanopool ou suprnova or fly or other, thx i’m noob thx
That is a shame about the barrel jack adapter. Because there are a lot of different sizes and shapes for barrel jack DC plugs. In general, all the picoPSUs that I’ve seen use the same connection standard which is 5.5mm outer diameter and a 2.5mm inner diameter IIRC. They do differ in their efficiencies, but in general, there are so many no-brand suppliers out there, it’s better to just pick a reputable importer and buy from them. My go-tos are QuietPC and MiniBox. But there are many other importers out there.
With projects like Golem you’ll be able to hire out your compute power through Ethereum to industries such as science, mining, CGI movie producers, etc…who generally need huge capital to invest in their own super computer data centers.
Sorry for the long reply, but here are devices that do what the website i sent you do to your exact site instead of the average of the zip code used. The first one i list is one that i used when i taught PV (photovotaic) system design classes at the local community college. Honestly, the website gives a solid number that can be adjusted to fit the locality better and i am always happy to help with anything like this since i have 7 years of PV design experience:
Minearbejdere forbruge hashingthat blok med regnekraft af deres GPU (r). En vellykket hash resultat producerer producere en unik Bevis for Work (Pow) beviser, at minearbejder arbejdet på denne blok.
With the prices of graphics cards rising due to the cryptocurrency gold rush, it’s now more sensible to buy a pre-built device for mining cryptocurrencies, which is where our best mining rig 2018 list comes in.
I don’t understand why others ASIC resistant cryptocurrencies such as Vertcoin and Monero aren’t worth mining. At all. It’s not worth buying a high-end GPU to mine these coins even for those who don’t have to pay for electricity bill. But I do. And it’s pretty expensive here (~$0.121) .
You do not need to buy any kind of extra PSU and that will be a total waste of money. You can purchase a splitter that will work – http://www.parallelminer.com/product/18awg-pci-e-6pin-to-dual-8-pin-y-splitter-extension-cable-2x-62pin-cable-6in-each-side/ . Let me know this helped.
You don’t need 500Gb or 250GB of storage the only things that will be operated on the SSD will be your OS, Mining Software and block chains that will be downloaded. That’s it that will also not make up to 100GB.
To complete our Ethereum mining equipment we just have to complete some basic components of any other computer. We will need a PCI Express extenders called Riser that will allow us to place the GPUs on the board because its width and size is not possible in most cases placed directly on the motherboard next to each other.
Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, had intended for this cryptocurrency to be mined on CPUs. An ordinary PC would suffice in the early days of Bitcoin, but today, mining Bitcoin with a PC is not only impossible but also impractical.
You keep talking about higher electricity costs. My electricity costs are 0$. I’ve been running server farms out of my house for over a decade, enough to heat my entire home. I have not had to run my heat once in that decade and my electric cost in winter is EXACTLY the same as it was before I started running a server farm.
Hi Kannon, I stumbled across your article and found that it filled in a lot of gaps as I consider building a beginner rig for mining. Do you have any monitor recommendations, something for loading the system, maintenance, etc? I found many options but I’m not familiar with this configuration and worried about spending on something that is not compatible.
ETHEREUM has taken the cryptocurrency market by storm over the past 12 months, rising exponentially to become the second biggest crypto on the planet. But how can you mine Ethereum and how does it work?
My dad and I want to start mining ethereum, but hearing about how fast bitcoin mining became obsolete we are a bit concerned. Can you give us an Idea with the cost involved in a setup such as this and how much ethereum you can mine? Thanks,
Strange only V11 is working in MC1.10 the Ultra preview no go and the 10.1 standard nothing… PLease correct as I love the Ultra and used in the past. now I can not. But I will say this I love the version 11 but wish it had option to get rid of the blurry glass and water. NOT A FAN!
I would have thought a Restricted Logistic Growth function (ones that predicts natural growth patterns with a maximum carrying capacity) would have been a more natural curve to follow. This would encourage a more balanced ratio between money in circulation and money locked into a PoS.
