That alternative is Litecoin – and there’s reason to think that buyers have emptied the shelves of AMD’s Radeon hardware to build mining platforms. First off, there’s the fact that – over in the US at least – you can’t find a high-end Radeon in stock at the moment.
i’ve got 3x r9 290 hashing since launch. these cards have been hashing for over 2 years. with reference cooling. they run @ 95oC all day long and still run without probs or artifact, yes they are also used for gaming sometime.
Minearbejdere forbruge el hashingthat blok med regnekraft af deres GPU (r). En vellykket hash resultat producerer producere en unik Bevis for Work (Pow) beviser, at minearbejder arbejdet på denne blok.
There are currently 96 million coins of Ether in circulation. Although this number is likely to increase over the next couple of years, it will probably flatline after that. Which means that the developers in charge of Ethereum will make sure that the number of circulating coins stays constant.
Now, Novogratz, who formerly ran a hedge fund at Fortress Investment Group and now invests in blockchain companies, thinks the cryptocurrencies have peaked for the time being, and it could be a while before they return to record levels. “I think we may have put the highs in for the year in Ethereum, and you’re going to slowly consolidate,” he said at the conference.
The problem I have seen with the Z170 board (MSI -A Pro) I have is that you have to set pci latency timer manually. I managed to get 5 cards running reliably after playing with that setting (best suggestion is to use >16*number of GPU). Default was 32, and the board struggled with more then 3 cards.
If you can be clear about what exactly do you mean by RX cards speed problem that would be helpful. And, when you post in 2018 that and RX 580 is getting 18 MH/s and falling fast, what is this information based off of.

Personally, I believe in diversification within the Ethereum realm: mining, buy-and-hold, momentum trading, mean-reversion trading and price arbitrage between exchanges. I believe in the incredible potential of a technology like Ethereum, but there are so many factors that could crush its market cap.
Hi Bhavesh, OK, this seems to be a fairly common error but it’s beyond my capabilities to diagnose precisely from that log. I’ve seen a variety of solutions to this issue proposed on various forums: https://ethereum.stackexchange.com/questions/18806/couldnt-connect-to-node/23153#23153 https://github.com/ethereum/mist/issues/2426 https://github.com/ethereum/mist/wiki#unable-to-find-peers I suggest starting with the simple solutions first before trying the more advanced stuff. So if using Windows, start things up in Administrator mode. Then try starting Geth manually with the –nat=none flag. Then try starting from the command line as someone suggested. You can also backup your data directory, rename / move it, and let the wallet resync itself… From there,… Read more »

In the end, my approach is to buy the card with the biggest clock I can afford and stick to the most popular cards people rave about. Only when I get the card I will then forge my own experience and then lay down and cry when it doesn’t go as expected.
@gennady46 ; Most of what you’re asking is done with something like MSI Afterburner. You can set custom fan profiles, and undervolt or overclock your GPUs. Water cooled GPUs cost significantly more, and since you’re trying to be as energy efficient as possible (meaning you undervolt your GPUs) they don’t get hot enough to need watercooling.
I absolutely ADORE this mod. It’s a huge throwback to the days when I play The Aether mod on Minecraft beta 1.7.3 almost 5 years ago. Unfortunately, there are problems. Problems like lag(Although my PC should be more than capable of running it at 60+ FPS), text repeating mainly after boss fights, background music colliding and text in the book of lore being “squashed”. Some tweaks I’d love mainly include: being able to equip accessories in Creative Mode and the option to choose the old zephyr model and texture just for nostalgia reasons.
Med et hårdt tag i mit hår tvinger han mig ned til hans pik. Lucy pinder med kæreste. Jeg beder dig — stooop. What age of women fits you best? Den fylder min mund, kvæler mig. Du ligger dér fuldstændig fastspændt hen over bordet med bind for øjnene og bliver brutalt taget på dit eget soveværelse. Vi stønner nu begge to og du siger: Again, please keep their identity a secret.
I am a newbie in crypto currencies knowledge, but I wanted to ask ppl with more experience in the mining world a few questions. I have a decent amount of capital on hand to buy/rent a warehouse. I would also be able to buy 20k or so worth of hardware to mine with. How profitable is mining for ethereum? I’ve had many ppl (with limited knowledge) tell me it’s nearly impossible to turn a profit nowadays. I’ve had others tell me it’s highly profitable. If it’s not profitable why would ppl still mine it lol? Any input would be greatly appreciated 🙂
Your can buy prebuilt ones but if you do you are paying 2-3x what it’s worth and you won’t make an ROI in a timely manner as a result. People will only sell you a money making machine if you pay them enough money upfront that they no longer find it in their interest to just mine with it themselves. Then they’re going to take the money they made form selling you that and build themselves two mining rigs with it.
Something I’ve done when building out a GPU mining farm, is to do the OS/DRIVERS/MINING setup and then just clone the solid state drive using a 2 bay hard drive dock with offline clone feature built in.
Every developer seeking to engage and make use of smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain needs Ether to proceed. It is popularly called the fuel that runs Ethereum. It is a less expensive way of running transactions on the network when compared to buying Ether. You can also decide to sell your Ether after mining.
The Radeon R9 295X2 has by far the highest hash rate (46.0 MH/s) of the Ethereum GPUs on the market and will cost you $600. It has a power cost per day of about $1.44, a return per day of about $1.61 and a cost per MH/s of $13.04. This gives a return per year of $586.43.
I wrote this headline in June 2017, not sure if I should keep it when I will update the article next The price of an Ether should outperform that of a Bitcoin for the coming duration. What this means is that a dollar invested in Ether will return a higher ROI than investing the same dollar in Bitcoin. This indeed can be hard to believe in January 2018 when looking at Bitcoin price, but we all know that less than 10 weeks ago it was under $6,000. Most likely Bitcoin its being used by short term investors these days. Also, the assertion is based on the growth of Ethereum between 2015-2017 while Bitcoin was between 2009-2017.
Learn about graphics cards because they are responsible for most hashing power. A list to get started is available at https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining#/equipment which will help with learning but then also show you that most of the ones already proven to work well for others are sold out!
