With all that being said, it wouldn’t surprise me with ETH surpasses the $2,000 mark this year in light of the major consumer interest that has been drawn to the Cryptocurrency industry last year. Another company I have an eye on (which is currently right under Ethereum for most most influential Blockchain Organizations is: Cashaa.
The Aether attempts to achieve maximum compatibility by existing libraries where possible. Because it uses Forge and PlayerAPI, it’s only the main menu class that the Aether mod changes. Most mods which work with Forge will therefore be compatible with the Aether.
Bad job Tom’s. Just add fuel to the GFX card debacle. Irresponsible and just wrong. First the user must go out and OVERSPEND on a GFX card and then follow this article and start mining and increase the shortages even further. Hm, good job Tom, good job.
Honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me if this company entered the top 10 in trading volume this year but what else is interesting is that despite ETH exceeding others expectations on price increases, it may just be the beginning for what we can expect from the currency that is certainly rivaling Bitcoin itself.
I am in the peocess of ordering parts for a good 6 card mining rig. What is the best GPU card i can get now that uses the least amount of power? What is your email? Maybe you could send me an updated list for 2018? Or are all the parts still basically the same as your first list? Thank you so much for all this help!!! ?
In an ideal world, we’d all be able to build the most efficient Ethereum mining rigs. In reality, you need to invest countless hours into researching the latest hardware setups and mining rings, and that’s where CoinMiner’s Mining Rigs come in. Our Mining Rigs are one of the best options out there — built to the best standards, with high hash rates, extensive quality control and full of power. Our systems are the best systems on the market.
I finally know what it’s like to live the dream. I no longer feel like I’m on the outside looking in while everyone else has all the fun. The Bitcoin Code has allowed me to retire early and live the 1% lifestyle.
My philosophy on mining cryptocurrencies hasn’t changed since I first heard about Bitcoin in 2011. If you want to make a bit of a play at earning a little scratch, go for it. Definitely go for it if you already own the hardware. If you think mining some coins could help defray the costs of buying a new GPU that you’re going to use anyway, then that’s probably a reasonable bet.
While I totally see yor point that most people might not want to invest 3,000$ in a space heater that you could spend 25$ on, that is not really adding anything to the point as to whether it costs electricity or not. It is a valid point in its own right, but completely outside of the scope of the current discussion.
I made this same question in Bitcointalk and a veteran told me “we will talk about another more profitable coin in 1-2 years, guaranteed…”, so we don’t need to worry about it stopping being profitable soon… I asked him/her how s/he can be so confident, and the reply was that it’s because it happened 3 times before. I said that it doesn’t mean it will be the same thing from now on just because of that. He didn’t reply me anymore…
Actually I did manage to compare this to a R9 290 setup. These cards appear to get a 10% performance boost over the 290’s. I can’t speak to their longevity however. Now is that worth the price difference? Probably not. So in terms of cost effectiveness the 290 might be very slightly superior (I’d have to run the numbers). But keep in mind this was also built to have general usefulness as a GPU processing unit for my work. As such this is superior as the core speed and number are significantly higher than in the 290 (which doesnt make as big a difference on mining ethereum as it would on more general applications).
6. In order to get Geth program to enter the Ethereum network, type >>geth –rpc. This process is a little lengthy and can take time depending on your internet speed. Your hardware is getting in sync with Ethereum Blockchain.
The methods of costing transactions are different in the two. In Ether, it depends on the complexity of computation, the storage needs as well as the bandwidth usage. However, in Bitcoin, there are no such factors affecting the costing as all transactions compete with each other equally. This is what is known as Gas (in Ethereum), limited to each block while for Bitcoin, the limiter is the block size.
My guess is that in the long run you could make a profit from Bitcoin mining but only if you invest a considerable amount of money in a good mining rig (e.g. Antminer s9). If you don’t have the time or the money – stay away from mining and just invest in buying Bitcoins for the long run.
I used the screw and screw driver to get a hole going for each spacer. Then I removed the screws from the wooden case, placed the motherboard on top of the spacers (this part might take a bit of work to line up all the spacers correctly), and then screwed each screw in. You’re going to want to use all of the screws that your motherboard requires, which will probably be somewhere between 7 and 10.
AMD introduced their new 14 nanometer (nm) RX series card at a hard-to-resist $200 price in 2016 and crypto currency mining became much more profitable as the smaller 14nm fabrication process gives this card impressive performance and low power consumption.
From a security minded engineer: How can I trust someone sharing Windows executable via Google Drive and using WinRar? The guide is nice but it raises lots of security concerns. There’s no auditable open source code and stamp by security experts. Not long ago we had WannaCry spreading in the wild.
This local law shall impose a moratorium on applications or proceedings, or the issuance of approvals or permits for commercial cryptocurrency mining operations in the City of Plattsburgh. The creator of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin, announced last year that the Ethereum network is going to switch from a proof-of-work to a proof-of-stake framework to confirm transactions. With a proof-of-stake system, holders of Ethereum stake coins by putting them up as collateral to validate transactions.
On the GPU side, we are going to use the Claymore miner. Claymore has a long-standing reputation for optimizing miners and this miner speaks for it. It improves the hashing rate considerably and that is why we are going to take the time to download and use this miner as well. The genoil miner only works for pool mining and with AMD graphic cards. This miner charges a 2.5% developer fee. Every hour the miner mines for the developer during 90 seconds. However, the performance increase is well worth the fee charged. If you don’t agree with the dev feem, don’t use this miner
There is few graphics card that cost a lot but does not produce a lot of hashing power. In comparison to our cheap mining rig, I have gone with GTX 1060. This ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1060 is a 6GB DDR5 graphics card.

@Coinsinfo Yeah, but i wouldn’t recommend it. The services are usually over priced and with the looming switch to POS you wouldn’t be able to use your 1 year contract for anything else (as opposed to selling gpus or mining something else)
Wow. You represent about 1/3 of the current network hash power at the moment then? (I know most people probably aren’t actively mining, but still you would have been up there even at peak). Where, roughly, are you based?
The Aether Portal is a portal which leads to the Aether. The frame is constructed similarly to Nether portals, but is instead created with glowstone. To activate the portal, simply pour a water bucket on the inside (much like flint and steel with Nether portals). The portal block is blue instead of the purple of the Nether Portal. Mobs, boats, and minecarts cannot pass through Aether Portals; Aether Portals cannot intersect with each other. Should the portal spawn in midair, two glowstone blocks will spawn on each side for the player to stand on. It can only be constructed in the Aether mod. Otherwise, it will not activate. The portal can also break like a Nether portal, which makes the portal unusable. To get the materials required to make a portal, you have to go to the Nether to get glowstone. The Aether portal is basically the opposite of the Nether portal, as glowstone is the brightest block, and obsidian is the darkest.
According to CoinWars, based on today’s difficulty, mining 1 ETH per day would require a hash rate of roughly 1600 MH/s. That’s roughly 53 GPUs, for a total cost of roughly $12K in GPUs. Assuming that a mining server supports 7 GPUs, you must partition your GPUs into 8 servers. Conservatively, each server might cost an additional $500 for a motherboard, CPU, cables, RAM, HD and frame. This brings the total hardware cost to roughly $16K. Power will cost roughly $3,500 per year.
It is ironic that Einstein’s most creative work, the general theory of relativity, should boil down to conceptualizing space as a medium when his original premise [in special relativity] was that no such medium existed [..] The word ‘ether’ has extremely negative connotations in theoretical physics because of its past association with opposition to relativity. This is unfortunate because, stripped of these connotations, it rather nicely captures the way most physicists actually think about the vacuum. . . . Relativity actually says nothing about the existence or nonexistence of matter pervading the universe, only that any such matter must have relativistic symmetry. [..] It turns out that such matter exists. About the time relativity was becoming accepted, studies of radioactivity began showing that the empty vacuum of space had spectroscopic structure similar to that of ordinary quantum solids and fluids. Subsequent studies with large particle accelerators have now led us to understand that space is more like a piece of window glass than ideal Newtonian emptiness. It is filled with ‘stuff’ that is normally transparent but can be made visible by hitting it sufficiently hard to knock out a part. The modern concept of the vacuum of space, confirmed every by experiment, is a relativistic ether. But we do not call it this because it is taboo.[9]
Expanse- (EXP) which is run by James Clayton, founder of Crypto Currency Collector’s Club has a small ass market cap, busy dev team and are marketing all over the world. A cheaper and more efficient way to use ethereum projects, I haven’t looked back after buying for 50 cents (2.50 now)
Electricity Rate – Operating a Bitcoin miner consumes a lot of electricity. You’ll need to find out your electricity rate in order to calculate profitability. This can usually be found on your monthly electricity bill.
