I use this version: 0.9.41-genoil-1.0.7 Beta for Windows. I would like to try another client if its possible. Is there another client than ethminer? I would like to try another one because he crashed a a lot.
Regardless, I’m going to pick up where Eric left off. With a stack of graphics cards at hand, I am ready to go down the mineshaft. Will this be a fool’s errand, or is there still gold to be found? Let’s find out.
Troubleshooting tip:  Some miners have had success installing all GPU’s at once and then installing the drivers.  Others prefer to install only one card, install the drivers, shut down the system and then install the rest of the GPU’s and then just let them all be recognized by Windows (you’ll feel the system lagging, some flickers, or brief black screens while each card is detected by Windows).
Jumping into this scene, therefore, isn’t something I recommend just for a lark, and I definitely don’t recommend investing thousands in building huge server farms to try and cash in on Litecoin. Yes, if you mined hundreds of Bitcoins between 2011 and the present day, you might have just settled your retirement – but the chances of predicting an essentially unpredictable market are too high. Don’t risk money you can’t afford to lose.
Mining is a computationally intensive work that requires a lot of processing power and time. Mining is the act of participating in a given peer distributed cryptocurrency network in consensus. The miner is subsequently rewarded for providing solutions to challenging math problems. It is done by putting the computer’s hardware to with mining applications.
Understand, however, that the operative word is bet. In the two years I’ve been mining, I’ve gone through three pools. One became too small to sustain itself, one was DDOS’d to death, and 50BTC technically claims to still be operating, but its account system has been screwed up for nearly two months and the support staff no longer answer emails. Its FAQ on the attack hasn’t been updated in weeks. All withdrawals are frozen.
The reason we are building an Ethereum Mining Rig with the help of GPU’s because Ethereum is ASIC resistance i.e you cannot mine on the ASIC hardware that is highly capable of mining and these are now used to mine Bitcoins & Litecoins.
With all these differences in mind, Ethereum surely looks to be quite the competitor. However, what one will use from among the two, or the other options that are coming up, will depend on the purpose as well as the secondary requirements of the two parties.
Never underestimate the power of the Radeon RX 400 series. The Radeon RX 480 is not only the cheapest GPU in this list, it is also easily the most economic GPU. This card has a hash rate of 25 MH/s while only drawing 150 W at max load. You’ll make over $700 USD annually per card! Comparitively to the RX 580, this card is an awesome Ethereum miner!
For all still new to the experience of the Aether (be it Aether I/Aether II) to get to the Aether you must make a 4×5 portal frame (yes, it is limited to 4×5) using Glowstone. From there a water bucket is needed to get the portal going and from there you are ready to head to the Aether.
I think PoS is needed for a serious project like ETH yeah, trusting in miners is foolish, since 99% of us are in for the profits, so we’ll go wherever there’s money, and that’s not a good thing for projects that require consistensy.

So just to make sure I have got it, win10+ claymore’s dual miner if I want to mine ETH and something else (let’s say SIA), otherwise, if I just want to mine ETH I can simply use win10+ethminer, is that correct?
Riser Cables: To use the PCIe x1 slots on your motherboard, will need to buy PCIe x1 to x16 riser card extender cables, it can also be used on the PCIe x16 slot. It’s also great to give your cards some space from each other. I would recommend buying 1 or 2 extra ones, because sometimes you’ll get one that doesn’t work.
