A Field Programmable Gate Array is an integrated circuit designed to be configured after being built. This enables a mining hardware manufacturer to buy the chips in volume, and then customize them for bitcoin mining before putting them into their own equipment. Because they are customized for mining, they offer performance improvements over CPUs and GPUs. Single-chip FPGAs have been seen operating at around 750 Megahashes/sec, although that’s at the high end. It is of course possible to put more than one chip in a box.
Mining fills a big need — providing consensus among network participants regarding the state of the world of historical and current transactions. Because miners solve complicated problems using transaction information and cryptography, what they do is referred to as proof-of-work.
Are they though? A GPU miner needs a motherboard, memory, CPU, hulking great power supply, and the GPU itself. A FPGA you can get away with those hulking kilowatt dell power supplies that are like $30. That’s a lot of budget left over for a decent bin FPGA and some cheap DDR4 sticks from newegg, not to mention how much less power you’d be using over a GPU.
Now replace “” with your Ethereum Wallet address (which starts with 0x…) so copy that from your other text file and paste it here.  Then replace “” with any name you would like to create for your miner.  We’ll use “MiningRig1” for our example, so you now have:
Nu når benchmark er gennemført, og hvis du krydsede “benchmark efter benchmark” siden, “Mining vil starte.” Alt, tillykke med, du begyndte at minde. Nu kan du lejlighedsvis se på det personlige skrin af niceashe og se, hvordan din pung supplerer.
By entering the above details into an Ethereum Mining Calculator, you’ll be presented with a rough guide of your expected profits. While the calculator will automatically enter the current figure for difficulty, keep in mind that difficulty is very likely to rise in the future. Ethereum’s high price lures in more miners!
Ethereum made a small recovery in recent days and it’s now sitting close to $225 per coin. At that price, you can make money in almost any region. But on July 14, Ethereum dipped to $142.28 per coin. At that price, it would be impossible to turn a profit in New York and San Francisco.

A slightly more expensive miner would differ in its PSU and GPU, but otherwise should look identical. Instead of using an RX 460, it might use an RX 470 (or even 480). Unfortunately, the prices of higher end cards has gone through the roof. I wouldn’t advise anything beefier than a 460 — just enough to get your feet wet mining crypto without costing a fortune in build costs and power.
The blockchain system uses a hash algorithm which has the ability to convert a block of data into another group of fixed-length characters. These operations must be executed by powerful computers that can do it in the shortest possible time. In the case of the Ethereum, the algorithm used is the ethash that is responsible for breaking down the block and condensing it into a number of letters and numbers of a fixed length, all deciphering the metadata of the last data block. For this they use a factor called nonce, which is nothing more than a binary number that determines a single hash value.
One of the main issues with mining is the vast amount of electricity that it uses. Vitalik Buterin, the creator of Ethereum, has estimated that the amount of electricity needed to mine Bitcoin and Ethereum runs up a $1M daily bill (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiKnWBPkQ4I&feature=youtu.be). Another study recently showed that the amount of electricity consumed by the Bitcoin mining network is comparable to the energy used by all of Ireland (https://karlodwyer.github.io/publications/pdf/bitcoin_KJOD_2014.pdf).
I had bought a contract yesterday for ether. Everytime I going into my account bitcoin is allocated as being mined 100%. I have changed this to ethereum 5 times and it keeps saying bitcoin. Is the normal? But, I am still mining ethereum, because I bought an ethereum contract! Thanks for any help
As the price of Ethereum hovers around $300, you may be wondering to yourself whether or not it’s worthwhile to begin mining. Like Bitcoin, Ethereum is a proof-of-work coin that uses miners to confirm network transactions. The profitability of mining varies from person to person and changes over time – usually becoming less profitable as the coin matures.
The Ether Mod 1.10.2/1.7.10 adds in a new dimension that floats in the sky. You will wind tons of animals, mobs, and bosses here. The land itself is beautiful and there are many plants and flowers. If you decide to enter one of the randomly generated structures you will meet up with many dangers, but there are also rewards like special potions, armor, weapons and tools. Now you go challenge the guardians of heaven!
After a bit of digging, the culprit is likely the method of which my RX 580 GPU is connecting to my MacBook Pro. The eGPU enclosure that houses the RX 580 is connected via Thunderbolt 3 and as fast as that port is, the bandwidth is restricted to 1/4 the full x16 speed of a PCIe slot. So even if I had all 4 of my Thunderbolt 3 ports connected to eGPU enabled RX 580s, I still would not get the performance of a single RX 580 connected via a PCIe slot on a PC.
So obviously we are still at a very early stage in the crypto world, and once people start pouring into cryptocurrencies and blockchain social networks I think we will see a completely different world entirely.
For me, the answer is yes, but that may not be the case for everyone. Mining profitability relies heavily on the cost of electricity. If you pay too much for power, it’s the utility company that benefits most from your mining efforts. Where I live, we pay some of the lowest power rates in North America. Most mining calculators assume that you pay 10 cents per kWh (kilowatt hour) of power. For me, the price is lower, but in many cities, you’ll pay significantly more.
Last night, I had a debate with my mining partner on this topic. It was a battle between Ethereum and Zcash. According to WhatToMine – Zcash should be the more profitable option (by a lot) but mind you, the last time we run the test, Zcash was at its high.
@supguys can you send me what your .bat looks like, the pool you’re mining to, and which miner you want to use? Go with claymore’s miner. As for the 2 molex connections on the MOBO, I would connect them.
All I see when I turn shaders on is pitch black, with 7 diff images of screen, each one getting smaller and smaller, and blurier, and blurier, and no, Im not holusinating, but i can see all guis just fine(pause menu, inventory, f3, and the little plus sign in middle of screen) plz help this is best shaders version out there
The recent drop in Ethereum’s monetary value combined with the vastly increased mining difficulty has severely decreased the profit margin. It’s certainly past the point where anyone buying a new, dedicated mining rig will see a good return on investment (ROI). Even if you spent a relatively meager $1200 on a new setup, you’d need to net at least $100 a month for a year to just break even. Ethereum’s volatile nature and pending shift to a proof-of-stake model makes it unpredictable. Only the most desperate or foolhardy would buy new mining equipment at this point expecting to make a profit. So let’s look for another attack vector.
exactly without people saying whats happening how would they know what to look at? whether they are complaining or not it still helps the dev’s know somethings wrong. atm I found using the other shader packs works for the time being but I’m hoping Sues gets updated as it looks nicer imo on my system, but the other packs look pretty good too though the one i like most has a tiny issue of solid stone blocks sometimes waving like leaves with is more funny then anything. but it works for now.

It may sound contradictory because we have indicated that a powerful team is necessary, but in the case of an IBC, the workload focuses on other components. That is why when choosing a processor it is not necessary to break your head. With a dual-core processor capable of allowing us to run Windows 10 or Linux is enough.
Gravitite Ore is a kind of ore in the Aether. Like zanite, gravitite can replace any other material, but it isn’t as durable as Zanite. Also, when you are wearing gravitite armor, you jump slightly higher and these blocks float upwards. Thus, this is the best armor to travel with because you can jump higher in the Aether unless you use phygs, moas or another form of transportation in the Aether.
Admittedly, we jumped onto the Ethereum bandwagon quite late. By the time I started this build, the value had dropped dramatically, dipping below $200. Meanwhile, the mining difficulty hit a record high of 1200 TH that same week. The days of massive profits and overnight riches are behind us, but we set out to determine if mining Ethereum is still a profitable endeavor.

Dens i7-7700 er en ekstra bonus, da hash sats er GPU bundet. 120 GB SSD gør for hurtig boot tider og der er en 1 TB harddisk for stor fil opbevaring.
When it comes to the functionality of Ether, the technology behind smart contracts is what interests people most. However, as we just saw, the building of new applications on top of the Ethereum blockchain will also drive up demand.
-Motherboard… you have to choose according with CPU and RAM…. you can get a simple Motherboard for like 60-80$… that will give you 6 PCI-e slots to put 6 Cards… (i did spend 130$ and got one that supports 7 GPUs, but it’s my preference!)
It’s definitely possible to push efficiency even further. For example, you can fight for lower voltages, reducing power consumption at a given clock rate. But your success rate is going to be situational, and largely dependent on luck.
Application-specific integrated circuit chips (ASICs) differ from other mining rigs as they don’t utilize GPUs to do the mining, which means price and power consumption is reduced. They can also solve Bitcoin blocks faster, which means they are definitely worth looking into. This ASIC miner from Mineshop.eu is a good mid-range miner that has a hash rate of 19.5 GH/s. Definitely one to consider if space is at a premium.
