There are several providers who offer cloud-based mining. Hashgains offer you a one year contract and from then there is no maintenance fee for you to bother about. In the cloud, you have guaranteed uptime of nearly 100 percent. Even if one miner goes offline for some reason, your provider will automate them on the other active machines.
You would need a different motherboard that’s capable of supporting two different RX 460s. The software itself can run on two separate GPUs, so that’s definitely not an issue. The issue is that dual GPU motherboards can cost quite a bit of money compared to single slot boards.
Ethereum Mining rig requires certain specifications on the hardware as well as on software side. In order to mine ether, you need to have a computer with Graphics card/GPU or CPU. GPU’s have a higher hash rate, i.e. they are much faster in solving problems and are therefore 200 times faster than CPU. It is wise to use GPU for your mining and there are also mining rigs being done in which hardware containing 6-7 GPU’s together are built to provide faster performance and more power.
The other advantage is that you don’t have to listen to the noise that it creates. Adding all of this together it would seem pretty logical to opt for a mining contract unless the joy of mining was the joy of mining itself. Although you might just get a smaller slice of profitability by doing it for yourself – would it be worth it – we don’t think so…
As you can see here, our hypothetical mining rig is more efficient and profitable than some of the best mining equipment on the market right now. We are assuming four GPUs that mine 40 MH/s each. The hardware specs are four GPUs, plus a processor, a motherboard, and a power supply rated at 1,000 Watts of electricity. The cost of this rig would be approximately $3,000.

So find coins where the fiat price is at least stable but the difficulty is not going through the roof due to a flood of new miners coming online. To connect all of the GPUs to your rig you’ll need a motherboard with at least 6 PCIe slots. You’ll see most motherboard offer PCI x16 and PCIe x1 slots but the risers will connect into a PCIe x16 or x1 slot (this doesn’t affect the mining hashrates).
You can always do what my friends did – take their miners to work and mooch of someone else’s free power. It was like they were converting someone else’s kWhs of electricity into money, sucking it right out of the wall. I think an awful lot of landlords learned about the dangers of unlimited “power included” deals in their leases when BTC came out!

People I’m helping setup rigs and such are trying to go full bore right now and are willing to pay these insane prices for cards. They ask me what I think and I just say setup what you have and keep scouring for deals but don’t overpay. They won’t likely listen to that, but I also don’t want to be the person who said no and then somehow this GPU shortage causes difficulty to stall and the price skyrockets on PoS rumors or some weird super profit scenario.
This one is easy: buy the cheapest CPU that works with whatever motherboard you pick. When it comes to mining, the GPUs do all the work. Your CPU will essentially sit idle, so there is no reason to waste money on anything other than the bare minimum.
Ethereum mining hardware is thus, very crucial in terms of usage and require a large amount of electricity at the same time. Therefore, in choosing efficient Ethereum mining hardware, we would have to look into the factor of cost, how much power does it take and also higher hash rate i.e. the speed of solving and completing an operation, and thus striking a balance between them.
Like all crypto currencies, the future of Ethereum remains uncertain, but the tone of the conversation surrounding Ethereum is different than almost any other crypto currency. Actually, I did talk quite a bit about the rising hash difficulty. Did you not read the last page? Did you not see on the front page where I talked about the ballooning DAG files making it harder to use older mainstream GPUs ( since most of them are 2GB VRAM or less )?
The mining demand has driven prices well above their normal retail price, but when it comes to a relatively cheap videocards with a solid performance currently available on the market, AMD’s R9 390(X) seems to beat other cards. Even though it tends to be a relatively old card (the R9 series was introduced back in 2015), it has aged far more gracefully than the more recent RX 400 / 500 series (which launched in 2016 and 2017, respectively).
Note: If you lose your keys, you lose access to the account and its ether balance, permanently. Private keys cannot be generated from public ones (obviously) and the password you’re asked for when creating the account is just a means to encrypt the private key, not regenerate it. Therefore, remember your password!!!!
Very easy to setup. Hash rates and returns are quite decent for the money considering you don’t need to worry about buying the hardware, setting it up, or paying for power. Setting up a mining rig is annoying, loud and hot! This is much nicer =)
