For most of these, if the issues persists, watchclay power cycles the designated outlet on a Ubiquiti mPower strip to reset the rig and return Claymore to mining. In case of GPU overheating, watchclay immediately powers down the designated outlet to prevent permanent damage.
Oh, and with Ethereum there is one more fly in the ointment to spoil your mining hopes – if it switches to a proof of stake system this kind of mining will no longer be possible. They mention that in their notes. At that point, they will try to hash anything else that is profitable but you could easily be SOL.
They also have regular promotions, where their customers receive automatic upgrades or promo codes to have percentages added to their hashpower, or to have percentages off of their contract price. Watch your email after a signup (you may also use HF17PLUSBTC3 discount code for an immediate 3% discount). At Hashflare you can also mine Bitcoin and a few other crypto-coins.
I have purchased a 60MH/s Litecoin contract. The first payout was worth about $3.60. At this rate I should get my investment back in about 220 days, which is good, considering that the contract runs 730 days. This means 510 days of pure profit. I think it is a pretty good deal (lets hope Litecoin goes up further!).
Ethereum’s Ethash algorithm is one of many algorithms designed for optimal mining on GPUs. Generally speaking, a GPU is good for mining all GPU-mineable cryptocurrency (including Ethereum Classic, Monero, Zcash, and Vertcoin). This situation gives GPU miners enviable flexibility, in order to be able to switch between over 40 coins that are based on their current profitability.
Each time I add some new graphics card to my existing gpu mining rig or some other major happenings happens I make a quick update into the blog.  There are two major updates since my latest post from…
A powerful alternative to the R9 295X2, the Radeon HD 7990 has a hash rate of 36 MH/s. It consumes 300 W at max load. This means you’ll save money on power consumption. You’ll make over $700 USD annually per card!
It’s not gonna plateau. What all the stores being sold out means, is that a shit load of gpu’s are being bought straight through the major suppliers for large farms, and new cards are going online just as fast as they are being made. What you proposed would be true if production was down, but it’s not. What we’d want to see is cards cathering dust on the shelves at retail stores. What’s happening right now is the worst possible realistic screnario when it comes to the difficulty.
Time is also a factor, as the coin matures and is more widely known, it becomes less profitable. Hence, keeping in mind all these factors, you can calculate the profitability of your mining. There are online calculators and programs to do so.

In total, I have 17 graphics cards that could work for mining—11 cards with AMD GPUs, and six cards with Nvidia GPUs. Unless you’re a hardware hoarder who never sells older parts, you probably won’t have such an advantage. A build like this wouldn’t be free for most people, but we’d wager a few of you have some semblance of hardware sitting anyway.
Now replace “” with your Ethereum Wallet address (which starts with 0x…) so copy that from your other text file and paste it here.  Then replace “” with any name you would like to create for your miner.  We’ll use “MiningRig1” for our example, so you now have:
We recently explored the idea of building a mining rig at no cost, simply using older parts we had lying on the shelf. My colleague, Eric Vander Linden, cobbled together a competent mining rig with zero upfront costs. The “free miner” includes two R9 290X GPUs, which net roughly 57 MH/s. At the current difficulty rate, that rig should bring in a little more than half an Ether per month, which would be profitable as long as the price of Ethereum doesn’t dip below $100.
1x Custom Mining Case –  I’d recommend an Open Air 6 GPU Mining Case. I’ve built several of these 6 GPU rigs for family and friends using this particular mining case works quite well for airflow and ease of building.
Carefully weigh your options, but whichever card you decide on, be prepared to spend a lot of shopping time at the various retailers and resellers. Only if you keep in mind your budget and power costs, you can hope to find that coin at a “fair” price.
Generally, any motherboard with PCIe slots on it is suitable for mining—typically one GPU per PCIe slot. The PCIe slots don’t need to be full-length, as we can attach GPUs to 1x slots with the help of risers. With that said, there are potentially some limitations when you start to pack a large number (4+) of GPUs onto one motherboard, even if that board has enough PCIe slots to physically accommodate them. That’s why picking a suitable motherboard is probably your biggest hardware headache if you want to run as many GPUs as possible in your rig.
Second only to Bitcoins, Ethereum and Ether are among the hottest digital assets today when it comes to the world of cryptocurrencies and blockchain based technologies. Mining for Ethereum is much easier compared to mining for Bitcoins simply because of the fact that it is possible to do so even at a home setup without having to invest much.
But, for cloud mining calculations, you need to do the opposite, because the provider gives you an (effective) monthly running cost. Hence, you need to calculate an equivalent cost per kilowatt hour to feed into the mining calculator. This is done by dividing (not multiplying) the monthly running cost by the 0.744 conversion factor mentioned above.
Genesis mining has had many problems since I got my contract at the end of last June. There are many missing mining days in my history. Many missing payout days. I have a balance that needs to be paid out well above the minimum threshold for payout. Their customer service rarely responds. They had some security issues that threw a wrench in the works that they still haven’t fully accounted for. Fortunately with the crazy run up in price in Dec I have made my investment back. But don’t believe the calculators. They do not account for the rise in difficulty levels. When I started I was getting .1 to .09/day now its down to .01/day.
Encryption   the process by which information is protected from others and only accessible to those who have authorization. That is not to say that authorization may not be gained through unintended ways, but that is all dependent on the quality of the encryption.
