Every ten minutes or so mining computers collect a few hundred pending bitcoin transactions (a “block”) and turn them into a mathematical puzzle. The first miner to find the solution announces it to others on the network. The other miners then check whether the sender of the funds has the right to spend the money, and whether the solution to the puzzle is correct. If enough of them grant their approval, the block is cryptographically added to the ledger and the miners move on to the next set of transactions (hence the term “blockchain”). The miner who found the solution gets 25 bitcoins as a reward, but only after another 99 blocks have been added to the ledger. All this gives miners an incentive to participate in the system and validate transactions. Forcing miners to solve puzzles in order to add to the ledger provides protection: to double-spend a bitcoin, digital bank-robbers would need to rewrite the blockchain, and to do that they would have to control more than half of the network’s puzzle-solving capacity. Such a “51% attack” would be prohibitively expensive: bitcoin miners now have 13,000 times more combined number-crunching power than the world’s 500 biggest supercomputers.
Aether theories (also known as ether theories) in physics propose the existence of a medium, the aether (also spelled ether, from the Greek word (αἰθήρ), meaning “upper air” or “pure, fresh air”[1]), a space-filling substance or field, thought to be necessary as a transmission medium for the propagation of electromagnetic or gravitational forces. The assorted aether theories embody the various conceptions of this “medium” and “substance”. This early modern aether has little in common with the aether of classical elements from which the name was borrowed. Since the development of special relativity, theories using a substantial aether fell out of use in modern physics, and were replaced by more abstract models.[2]

For proper mining, separate hardware needs to be dedicated to integrating higher hash rate GPU’s. On top of the list best performance, video cards are of AMD and NVIDIA GEFORCE. The AMD Radeon R9 295X2 gives the performance of 57.6 MH/s but the power it consumes is a lot and care need to be taken in that way. AMD Radeon RX 480 and Radeon RX 580 are best value performers with 25-27 MH/s and power usage can be reduced using some tweaks.
It is often hard to select required PSU. Some of you might select a PSU that is way less than the required power supply. When you select the Power Supply Unit for the mining rig you will only use 80% of the total that can be supplied by the PSU.
Yes in the sense that if difficulty gets too high, the number of Ether coins you get in reward doesn’t offset the cost of electricity and/or cooling.  But usually, when that happens, people tend to stop mining or move to another coin.  Once that happens, difficulty drops down and Ethereum becomes profitable again to mine.
Nonetheless, Ethereum is reportedly switching to a proof-of-stake framework later this year, which means Ether mining could no longer be relevant. Take in mind, that this could also lead to a significant increase in Ethereum price.

This website is intended to provide a clear summary of Ethereum’s current and historical price as well as important updates from the industry. I’ve also included a number of ERC20 tokens which can be found in the tokens tab at the top right. Prices are updated every minute in real-time and the open/close prices are recorded at midnight UTC. Mining ethereum isn’t profitable anymore. Since there is an exponential increase in mining difficulty, Ether mined in a month gonna decrease exponentially too. I’m currently making around 0.75 Ether a month but that’s not constant. I’ve done the whole analysis here taking my case as an example.

Ethereum mining hardware is thus, very crucial in terms of usage and require a large amount of electricity at the same time. Therefore, in choosing efficient Ethereum mining hardware, we would have to look into the factor of cost, how much power does it take and also higher hash rate i.e. the speed of solving and completing an operation, and thus striking a balance between them.
This post has been ranked within the top 80 most undervalued posts in the first half of May 31. We estimate that this post is undervalued by $11.80 as compared to a scenario in which every voter had an equal say.
Basically, how I understand it (I might be wrong) is that after a new system is coded by the makers of ethereum, you won’t be able to mine it anymore essentially. I think the current system is called Proof of Work, which is where you get eth for solving problems for the block chain. And then POS is… Idk exactly. But here’s an FAQ for it https://github.com/ethereum/wiki/wiki/Proof-of-Stake-FAQ
Lots of articles on how to do this. There’s even a Linux distro specifically for Ether mining. EthOS. Not free but painless to set up. There’s also free ones. C’mon guys, you have everything spoon fed to you.
Another popular choice when it comes to Graphic Processing Units for mining Ethereum, the Radeon R9 HD 7990 used to be the biggest name till the R9 295X2 came along. This device is still in use by many users but the biggest drawback it offers is that it comes with a slightly higher price but offers a lower hash-power. Nevertheless, the R9 HD 7990 is still one of the best GPUs to mine Ethereum.
“I don’t know if I could justify my interest in it initially,” he says. “Of course now I can look back and go, ‘Wow look, I know more about bitcoin than most people! This is totally a good investment.’ But at first it was just fun.” The experience has inspired him to work in the industry in the future.
Pro-tips: check out the following GPU’s: AMD Rx 470/480 Rx 570/580, AMD R9 range, HD 7990 / 7950 (if used cards are available, try to get them from a gamer instead of a miner, with a warranty if possible).  For Nvidia, look at the 1060 / 1070 / 1080 series cards.  As with everything, do your own due diligence to evaluate GPU’s based on their hashrate, power requirements, availability and price.
Depends on how you define worst. This is meant to be an ethereum rig, which means it gets about a year of mining before it wont serve that purpose anymore. Therefore, as the post stated it was build for a dual purpose 1) to suite my needs for work 2) To pay for itself so I basically get free hardware out of it that is top of the line for high throughput parallel process. Based on those criteria it is in fact the best choice, though I understand it might be a very poor choice if you goal is to be a long term cryptominer beyond ethereum and in to the future. Not me however/
Eth mining is memory-bound, and needs high bandwidth, low latency VRAM. Integrated graphics using system memory as VRAM would likely perform very poorly. Also, you would need to allocate > 2GB of system RAM as VRAM, so the machines would probably need to have >4 GB of system memory.
Disclosure: Mining equipment metrics are calculated based on a network hash rate of 234,245 GH/s and using a ETH – USD exchange rate of 1 ETH = $ 738.07. These figures vary based on the total network hash rate and on the ETH to USD conversion rate. Equipment cost can vary, block reward is fixed at 3 ETH and future block reward reductions are not taken into account. The electricity price used in generating these metrics is $ 0.12 per kWh. Network hash rate varies over time, this is just an estimation based on current values.
Electricity Rate – Operating a Bitcoin miner consumes a lot of electricity. You’ll need to find out your electricity rate in order to calculate profitability. This can usually be found on your monthly electricity bill.

Compare with ETC profit at https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/etc or any other altcoin to see which is currently the most profitable to mine based on the price. After the ETH switch to PoS, mining another coin will be necessary but by then all the equipment should be paid for!
Both design styles end up looking very similar to one another. That’s because cryptocurrency mining focuses on two parts: the graphics card and the power supply. The rest of the computer can be little more than scrap heap pulls.
The goal of this project is to help show how much the Aether has grown from then to now. With this project it should help bring more appreciation towards Aether II and the amount of dedication Gilded Games is putting out to make it as outstanding as it can ever be.
Cryptocurrency has seen a massive growth in the relatively short time it has been available on the open market. The Ethereum Code Bot is set up to take advantage of this for maximum profit earning potential.

AS THE bitcoin price continues to fall, sceptics have started to wonder what will happen to the industry underpinning this digital “crypto-currency”. Around the world, hundreds of thousands of specialised computers have been built to create (or “mine”) bitcoins and, in the process, validate transactions and protect the system. How does bitcoin mining work?

The actual brand of the card is not the most important part (although some are better than others, like the usually-higher-quality Sapphire and MSI), rather you want to make sure you get the right AMD chip. A variety of manufacturers make cards using AMD RX 470, 480, 570, and 580, and just about any of them will work fine. Also, it’s likely a good idea to get an 8GB RAM card. A mix of these cards will work just fine — it might just take a bit of time to get the drivers working properly.
[ALSO LETS SAY… you bought this and it flops.. so? (but truth is, it doesnt)… but on the other hand if you sell (or don’t buy) you will look back to 2017 when trueAlpha wrote the prophecy of the gods on the misc and cry yourself to sleep every night]
