Now is a good time to perform a quick test. Simply double-click your mine.bat file to launch the miner. It’ll take a minute or two before it actually starts mining, but it should get there eventually. When you see a scrolling log of outputs that includes non-zero hashrates (expect hashrates in the low to mid 20s for unoptimized GPUs), you’re good to go. Next, you’ll want to switch to the “develop branch” of cpp-ethereum. To do this, in that same terminal, ‘cd’ into the /cpp-ethereum directory (the one created by the previous git command), and then type:
The part before the -dwal is the same as for the solo ethereum mining described above. The -dwal has the same representation as -ewal, it just is the mining pool of the dual coin. I would recommend to mine ONLY Decred as a dual coin, because it has the highest efficiency of all of them . As described above the Dual coin uses the GPU’s core for mining and not all dual coins give the same results. For RX 5xx cards the best way would be to go with Decred. I use the Supernova decred mining pool. You need to create an account there, and the account name will serve you as a decred mining pool address. To effectively mine Ethereum, a specialized hardware known as Graphics Processing Unit {GPU} will be required.  The intention of the developers of this cryptocurrency was to have it mined on the CPU of a computer but, miners came to discover that GPU presented more hashing powers as compared to computer CPUs. In a more simplified term, a GPU can be best described as a specialized computer for mining Ethereum.
GPU’s get random hashrate drops, for example it shows 29.5MH/s, but sometimes it will randomly drop to 20 MH/s for no reason in the logs, and that happens very often. The way Claymore software tries to force your GPU’s to stay at those clock rates is terrible, and it will not work properly if a new Driver from AMD comes out.
One other reason is the philosophy of the Dev team and community. There is no real technical reason Bitcoin, Litecoin, and other coins that are currently being mined with ASICs couldn’t, with a switch to another POW algorithm, be put back in the hands of GPU miners. Point is, if the Dev’s and community wanted to keep a coin out of the ASIC realm, they could just change the code if/when that moment happened. A few of the lesser known coins have already did this with great success. The problem as we know with Bitcoin is there are too many big players with deep pockets that would fight tooth and nail to keep that from ever happening. They can’t even agree to a minor thing as a block size increase much less something as dramatic as changing out the POW.

This direct comparison between these configurations shows just how powerful a Polaris 10 setup is when mining, even edging out the 1080+1070 config.  Take the upfront cost of $400 (think MSRP folks) for the two Polaris cards or more than double for the Pascal.  Admittedly if you were doing this you would pick up a pair of 1070s rather than touch the 1080 with a 10 foot pole.
I doubt he could even notice! Why? Well I left a debug feature for people just like you this feature shows Claymore’s wallets and show them in your miner console. So you can check his wallets and see for yourself how many bitcoins he make daily.
I can understand you not wanting a ton of scrypt coin mining rigs turned to Ethereum right away, but also consider that a big reason Scrypt took off was it gave former Bitcoin miners a new platform for their hardware after ASIC made GPU mining basically impossible. The same thing could be happening to scrypt soon, with a number of ASIC miners having been announced now.
In terms of Ethereum mining performance, the R9 series has aged far more gracefully (even though it was introduced in 2015) than the more recent RX 400 / 500 series (which launched in 2016 and 2017, respectively).
Unfortunately, for someone looking at building just a few mining rigs, they may never find a block solo-mining. Therefore it is necessary to join a mining pool. A mining pool combines the hashrate of all the miners, and vastly increases the chances that the group is able to find a block. This therefore allows you to get a steady payout from the pool, even if you yourself never find a block.
Open Notepad and create a file called genoil.bat with the following text, in the same folder. These settings will optimize your mining capability and launch the mining itself. Make sure to replace the pool and wallet address by what you’re using. If you’re Solo mining, then replace the last line by using the command “ethminer.exe -G”.

One other oft-mentioned number statistic for an ASIC chip is the number of cores or hashing engines that are on the chip. While this number is directly related to performance, it is not necessarily a comparitive relation.
With the right GPU (an advanced GPU from AMD or Nvidia) you’ll be able to mine for Ethereum 200 times faster than you would have been able to with a CPU, and many that mine for Ethereum professionally say that the AMD GPU cards are much more efficient than the Nvidia brethren.
