Have a question in regards to the CPU, since some coins can be mined via CPU, what would be the consequences to have a good CPU and also mine something with it while the GPU´s also do some mining, then i would get some extra mining power? or am i thinking wrong here?
Ethereum mining is difficult on the Windows. Nonetheless, you can mine Ether using a GPU or a CPU device with Windows 64 bit. By running your CPU device, you can generate 0.15 Mega Hashes. On the other hand, using a decent GPU miner with sufficient storage, you can reach the 25 Mega Hashes mark. Thus, with regards to the overall efficiency, and after considering the total electricity charges, a GPU is definitely worth a purchase even if its cost is $200.

What the advertisements for cloud mining always leave out is that difficulty always increases (and yes, its very predictable, the trend line is solid). It looks great after the first month, but the coins mined decrease at about a 1-2% compounded daily. That means after a month you are probably making half the coins daily. You don’t notice when coin price is going up, but do you think coins can maintain a 2% avg growth every day forever? At 6 months, you are making 2% the coins of what you were making at the start. Basically, its like this, you lend your friend $100, he pays you back for 100 days $0.39 in gold. Which means he only gives you back $39, but he tells you don’t worry, if gold appreciates you will get your money back. The revenue you get is only from the appreciation of the coin, the actual mining loses money always. So, why not just buy the coin direct then???
The GPU is still the biggest factor in determining mining performance and which card you have matters greatly. AMD cards are still king in total mining performance, just as they were in Bitcoin’s early days. Nvidia microarchitecture (through Maxwell) wasn’t focused on general purpose computing like AMD’s Graphics Core Next. Actual hash rates will vary between different mining software, operating systems, and drivers, but even a GTX 980 Ti can’t keep up with, say, an older mid-range AMD card. Nvidia has made changes in Pascal that make 10-series cards quite capable miners. Then again, if you’re using a recent generation Nvidia card for mining, you’re more likely mining on the side with your current machine rather than making a dedicated mining system out of spare parts.

Like the concept and ease of website. Not clear as to the difference of the Monero contract vs others you sell as I thought I could allocate my mining across different coins which was a little disappointing. Looking forward to seeing results!
Good article but only half written. It does a great job explaining the key inputs into the analysis of profitability but it did not actually follow through with any such analysis! It just says at the end “yes it’s profitable but switch to monero after PoS” with no basis to justify the claims of profitability.

I bought nvidia for the same reason but I would simply add that nvidia is good for most of the coins, it’s only that RX cards are a bit better for some coin. You can make decent money with Nvidia on Ethash.
It’s the 2% or worse increase in difficulty every day that kills your chance of making an ETH profit – i.e. more than what you could if you just invested the cost of the miner/contract fiat currency directly into ETH and held it.
