But what do miners get in return for doing all the heavy lifting?  Ether reward coins.  The catch is that mining tends to require more and more power over time, as more people invest in more powerful hardware.  This is called mining difficulty and increases exponentially with the number of people mining and competing for their Ether reward.
Genesis-Mining semble être la plateforme de cloud-minage la plus importante, le contenu sur cette dernière est très nombreux, j’ai passé plusieurs jours à lire des dizaines d’avis. Puis, je me suis lancé.
Step 10: You need to open up another command prompt as in step 4 – so your going to get two scary looking boxes. Simply click right click on your already open command prompt in the taskbar at the bottom of the page and click on command prompt in the menu that appears. A new command prompt should open with “C:\users\username>”. This is the wrong place to look for etherminer so you need to tell it the right place to find it.
To get started you will need to obtain a mining wallet to collect your digital currency, mining software, and of course your trusty PC equipped with a worthy “miner” or GPU, or better yet multiple GPUs. NiceHash is a simple software package that will get you up and running, but there are a myriad of mining app choices and wallet types out there to choose from, with lots of guides on the net to educate yourself. We’re going to be focusing on the hardware and mining performance side of things in this piece, however.

Choosing a cloud mining contract can be difficult – knowing how to price it or whether its a good deal and even if its legit – there are pitfalls left right and center. But here at CryptoCompare we’ve tried to make the process as seamless and easy as possible by creating a set of metrics to give you an idea of exactly how an ethereum, bitcoin or litecoin mining contract works.
In order to secure the exact mineral characteristics and to ensure long term supplies, Wolkem constantly examines, excavates and conducts geological surveys to locate new deposits of existing and new minerals. Wolkem’s highly skilled and experienced team of geologists are aided with cutting edge techniques and mine survey equipments
Hi Elmer, unless you are using the six pin connector on a discrete card, it will pull wattage from the PCIe slot — and you will overdraw if you use more than one RX 460. I apologize for not making this clearer.
Findind a solution is practically running brute force algorithm. The time to find a solution is hard to tell. In the same time blocks are having a predefined maximum size and by convention a blockchain needs to have an averate time interval at which blocks are closed. In order to do that from time to time a variable called difficulty is adjusted based on previous performance.
With mining rigs, you want the lowest clocked CPU, bare minimum RAM, 5,6 or 7 GPUs and a very basic HD.   Oh, and as you can see from the picture, you don’t want nor can you fit all those GPUs instead of a normal case.  You can use a nice custom made case as you see above or something cheap like milk crate.
First, head over to Etherscan’s Mining Calculator, which provides up-to-date figures for the current price, block time and network hashrate (as measured in Gigahash per second aka GH/s; denoting billions of calculations per second):
What do you want to optimise for? Lowest upfront cost per unit hashrate? Lowest ongoing cost (upfront + electricity)? Best hashrate per unit electricity? Lowest heat (and electricity) per unit hashrate?
Crypto miners—in particular those mining ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency by market valuation behind bitcoin—have been in the crypto equivalent of a gold rush since early this year. They are racing to take advantage of ethereum’s exploding price by adding more processing power to their mines. Some of them are even resorting to leasing Boeing 747s to fly the increasingly scarce graphics processors from AMD and Nvidia directly to their ethereum mines so they can be plugged in to the network as quickly as possible.
