The Gigabyte GA-H110-D3A is one of the best mining GPUs on the market, and if you don’t need the ability to run 13 GPUs at once, then this may be a better purchase. It can still handle six GPUs, and it has excellent built quality which means this motherboard can withstand the intensive use mining for cryptocurrencies entails. It also includes electrostatic, power failure and high temperature protection, which is essential for a machine running 24/7. Unlike some other mining motherboards, the Gigabyte GA-H110-D3A can also be used for non-mining applications, giving it a flexibility if you find mining isn’t for you.
Eken Cloud Mining is an easy, cheap, and good way to get or mine Bitcoin, Ethereum, Zcash, Dash or Monero. EKEN Cloud Mining was founded in 2016 in France where the office was set. With the mining operation in Canada, they provide daily payouts to the clients with a minimum amount of 0.0047 BTC and 0.12 ETH. EKEN is giving you a $15 welcome sign account.

And in 2015, Ethereum made its debut, incorporating bitcoin’s basic blockchain premise and Litecoin’s pursuit of faster transaction speed, but adding a few of its own twists — including the ability to process little chunks of code, called “smart contracts” — and on its virtual peer-to-peer network as opposed to a dedicated server or mining rig.
This GPU will cost you about $680. Though is slightly lower (i.e., 36 MH/s), the Radeon R9 HD 7990 has lower costs in terms of energy per day than its R9 295X2 counterpart. It has a cost of $18.89 per MH/s and a daily return of $1.29 and an annual return of around $469.40. Designed for the AMD ZeroCore ultra-efficient power technology, this GPU automatically shuts down its ancillary at idle for an amazingly quiet and cool operation.
Third, select the Graphics card you intend to use for mining. The calculator automatically enters the correct hashrate and power consumption. If your card isn’t listed or you’ve modified its performance, select the Custom option and enter the relevant figures manually. Note that GPU hashrates are entered in (Megahash per second aka MH/s; denoting millions of calculations per second).
F2pool is also among the major ethereum mining pool which also offers the mining of Bitcoin. However, the main shortcoming of this miner is that their ether mining site is limited to a few countries only. The pool charges a fee of 3% per share.
What do you want to optimise for? Lowest upfront cost per unit hashrate? Lowest ongoing cost (upfront + electricity)? Best hashrate per unit electricity? Lowest heat (and electricity) per unit hashrate?
Before any serious outlay of capital, further research into Ethereum’s prospects is warranted. While GPUs may be set to mining other coins and their costs partially recouped through resale, GPUs depreciate rapidly. This is especially true of cards put to the constant, intensive work of mining.
AtoZForex – Previously, we have discussed the Russian President meeting the Ethereum founder which shows that possibilities for the cryptocurrencies and the blockchain are endless. In this post, we will look into how to invest in Ethereum by joining one of the top 5 Ethereum mining pools.
While it is a fact that mining this cryptocurrency is a lucrative affair, its profitability does not come even near some currency platforms such as Litecoin Mining and Dash Mining. If your main idea of mining Ethereum is to acquire the cryptocurrency, then it would be just wise to purchase it. Mining hardware is not that cheap, and it wouldn’t be easy to turn a profit unless you are mining on a large scale.
Currently, Ethereum uses the Proof of work (PoW) system- this has been the arm supporting blockchain technologies like bitcoin and Ethereum. Proof-of-work refers to the solving of complex equations, which is a basic requirement for a miner to clear for their block to be added to the blockchain. This system has been picked apart for the environmental damage and electric cost it generates. However, through the use of the Dagger Hashimoto algorithm, Ethereum created a way that permits simple home computers to mine efficiently with little expenditure necessary.
For an Ethereum user who wants to mine Ethereum, the first step is to get the required Ethereum mining hardware. After you have gotten your hardware and all other requirements, you are expected to join a mining pool. Your chosen Ethereum mining pool will help you get a regular payout. Apart from joining a mining pool, you will also need an Ethereum mining software just like you need an Ethereum mining hardware. These requirements are important because without them you cannot partake in the regular Ethereum mining. It is important t know that mining Ethereum could be stressful, time-consuming and a bit expensive this is why some people prefer to go for the Cloud Mining option.
First, you must calculate how much you’re hashing power will be. If you already have some GPUs that you’re planning to use, then you can use Google to find out its hash rate. Alternatively, you can use a site such as CryptoCompare to determine what the best value for money GPU is. However, I’ve not yet found a database with a full list so you may wish to start your own excel file and compare the hashrate you get per dollar spent. GPU prices can also vary significantly, country to country, so make sure you take this into consideration as well.
Difficulty is likely to continue its established rising trend (and could spike on the release of more efficient GPUs) and price is extremely unpredictable (and may crash if the market dislikes Ethereum’s solution to its on-going DAO crisis). Further, Ethereum is scheduled to switch to a Proof of Stake model at some unspecified date, meaning it will no longer be mineable.
Compare the above to my 2 x R9 390X GPUs mining rig. Hashrate is ~ 62.8 MH/s. Again from the mining calculator, my expected earning is 1.210311 ETH (USD 14.16) per day or 8.4722 (USD 99.12) per week. Mining rig consumes ~ 700 watts. This is equal to 700 x 24 = 16,800 watt-hours per day, or 16.8 kWh. 16.8 kWh x USD .17 per kWh = USD 2.85 per day in electricity.
Genoil is a continually developing and very optimized miner for Ethereum. It runs smoothly, and you can get up and running with it very quickly. Personally, I’ve had a few issues with DAG generation, but a few tweaks quickly solved this. If you’re only planning on mining Ethereum, then Ethminer by Genoil is a strong contender.
To start mining, all you need is an incredibly simple computer. You will need a mouse, a keyboard and a screen for it as well, but this is only required for the setup, so you should be able to use any existing ones that you may have.
Your ethereum wallet offers you a gateway to distributed applications on the blockchain. The wallet enables you to secure ether among other crypto-portfolios built on ethereum. You can also write, deploy and make use of smart contracts.
Therefore Ethereum mining is a good investment for people to get involved in as it reduces the risks from trading in a volatile market, and is a great way of generating passive income every month. In future articles we will also address the need for overclocking and undervolting your cards to increase efficiency.
This view looks at the number of coins you can expect to generate in the future. This view does not account for any expenses, it simply predicts how many coins you will generate with your given hashrate and the diff change value. A high diff change will cause you to generate fewer coins in the future.
However, once you have your GPU cards, they will need power. Therefore, the second most important factor is how much your card will consume, and how much you’ll need to pay for this. In order, to calculate this, you’ll need to find out how much power it uses and how much you need to pay per KW/h. These are respectively 150W and $0.10 per KW/h for me. To calculate the per hour cost just convert W to kW (by diving by 1000) and multiply together, so for me the rig would cost 0.15*0.1= $0.015/hour to keep alive. This amounts to $0.36/ day or $10.80/month.
Be wary of the networks increasing difficulty. Even though you may make $10 one day, the next day you may make $9, so you should always be open minded about mining different coins when the time comes.
EthPool is a predictable solo mining pool. This means if you would mine solo with a defined hashrate, you would find a block every x days, in theory. EthPool sums up your credits and pays out a full block to you, predictably, every x days.
Recently I did a quick video on my mining rig build. It turned out to be a very popular video. Something I didn’t really expect to happen. The comments section raged on over my choice of GPU. Some people immediately understood while others thought it was a terrible choice.  Of course, as with most YouTube comment sections people are heavy on opinions but come up very short when the facts are on the table. So what is the best GPU for mining cryptocurrency? We’re going to discuss that in detail in this article.  The question you need to ask first is what is your goal?  And that really matters when determining the best GPU for mining! You’ll understand why in just a minute as we explore GPU mining options. Regardless of your choice though, I encourage you to just have fun with it! Fun first, profit second. If you approach it like that then things won’t matter as much in the end.  Of course, if it is just about money for you then stick around because I will walk that road too!
Besides Ethereum mining pool and Ethereum mining hardware, you will need high-quality Ethereum mining software and a reliable Ethereum wallet. I will provide more information on these in my following posts.
Solo mining is when you mine by yourself. The advantage of this is that anything you find is completely yours to keep. Unfortunately, if you only have a few miners it might take a very long amount of time to find “gold.” Furthermore, the frequency of finding gold can also vary extensively. You may have a week where you hit gold thrice, but then nothing for a whole month. Clearly, if you have a lot of miners (GPUs), then the outcome will be more stable, but below 1GH/s mining rate, Solo mining is not advisable if you want a stable return. If you’re not worried about shifts in when you find Eth, then Solo mining is a good option above 100Mh/s as you do not need to pay fees to anyone.
At the time of this writing, Ethereum (ETH) ranks second only to Bitcoin (BTC) in terms of market capitalization, with a total cap of almost $83 billion. In comparison, Bitcoin’s market cap exceeds $140 billion (after hitting a peak of more than $325 billion several weeks ago), and Litecoin (LTC), silver to Bitcoin’s gold, crests at only $6.8 billion.
Therefore, when you go out to look for the best mining GPU you can find, you should think about the memory the GPU features, as well as its power needs and cost. It’s important to consider the GPUs value, because when you start mining Bitcoin or Ethereum, you won’t be yielding large amounts of cryptocurrency to start. You should therefore try to mitigate your initial costs as much as possible to maximise your profits and start making your initial investment back as soon as possible.
The process of mining ethereuem is quite intensive, requiring a lot of processing power and time. In the end, a miner is rewarded for discovering solutions to the challenging math problems through blockchain technology, in the same way Bitcoin mining and Bitcoin cloud mining operate. Like Bitcoin mining hardware, ethereum can be considered as a computational network.
Mining pools are not to be confused with Ethereum cloud mining where the full task of mining is outsourced to an organisation which supplies the hardware and running costs and pays you a dividend based on your investment.
