Compare the above to my 2 x R9 390X GPUs mining rig. Hashrate is ~ 62.8 MH/s. Again from the mining calculator, my expected earning is 1.210311 ETH (USD 14.16) per day or 8.4722 (USD 99.12) per week. Mining rig consumes ~ 700 watts. This is equal to 700 x 24 = 16,800 watt-hours per day, or 16.8 kWh. 16.8 kWh x USD .17 per kWh = USD 2.85 per day in electricity.
That tells you the ratio of hashes per block of ETH mined. Note how since Jan 1st 2017 to now it has gone up from about 80 TH to almost 800 TH (terra hashes). So the amount of ETH per MH/s your contract gets you has gone down by 10x in that regard. I’ve seen some data that say difficulty is currently increasing around 2.2% per day [6] so at the end of a 30-day period your yield per day is down to around 50% of what it was before and your total for the month is about 60% of what it would be if yield stayed constant.

But if don’t want to build a mining rig and just want to mine ethereum with single GPU I will suggest you to go with  AMD Radeon R9 295X2, as it is the most powerful mining hardware available in the market.
It would be very power inefficient since you’re multiplying the power requirement overhead to run the rest of the system. But I love experiments. Try running it and see how it does. Linux will report all OpenCL compatible devices ( can’t remember the exact command line for it right now ) so if you explicitly call Claymore and tell it to work with a given device, it should try.
Click Save private key to save the key in the format that PuTTY can use. PuTTYgen displays a warning about saving the key without a passphrase. Click Yes. Note: A passphrase on a private key is an extra layer of protection, so even if your private key is discovered, it can’t be used without the passphrase. The downside to using a passphrase is that it makes automation harder because human intervention is needed to log on to an instance, or copy files to an instance.
If you set your clocks in Afterburner for example, you should check GPU-Z to see if those clocks have really applied. Because if you say your hashrate is not being affected by you adjusting core, that means your core hasn’t been adjusted.
Being that new to BTC mining I can not say allot. yet from all the time and due diligence of reading reviews for the mining services. I am impressed with sources from CNN News and many the positive remarks from Redit and CoinDesk. best I can say is keep up the good works! I will be watching and thank you for the services. -BW-
Once you successfully mine a block and it is included in the blockchain, you will earn ether as well as gas set for that block, which is the computational cost of mining that block. As a miner, you’ll always target blocks with more gas allocated because it is more profitable. The amount of ether you get for gas is computed as gas used multiplied by gas price.
I am thinking that investing in mining Dash coin at this time is very profitable. I am waiting until the end of the month to know the results, the result as expected, I will continue to invest more. Thanks Genesis Mining for this service.
IMPORTANT: The following info is taken from the manufacturers and does not take into account and custom configuration such as overclocking, undervolting and BIOS modifications. Actual results vary depending on your customization. AMD cards allow for greater customization while Nvidia cards are locked to certain configurations.
I’m not here to make claims on where the price goes, and I certainly would warn the novice speculator against putting money they don’t have/cannot afford to lose 100% into mining. If you’re a believer in where ETH is headed, though, and you think it could be worth 10x it’s current price down the road, then maybe it IS worth it. Yet, we could wake up tomorrow and it’s worth $0.
Although, Radeon RX 480 may not compete with earlier versions of Graphic Processing Units of Ethereum mining in terms of hash power ratings, it enjoys excellent popularity due to its impressive economy. Radeon RX 480 offers outstanding power economy to compensate its lower hash power of 25 MH/s. The cost efficiency of Radeon RX 480 is higher than aforementioned GPUs for Ethereum mining and consumes just about 150 Watts. As far as the RAM is concerned Radeon RX 480 is packed with 8GB GDDR5 RAM. Total cost of Radeon RX 480 delivers excellent economy as compared with majority of Graphic Processing Units for Ethereum mining.
I’ll continue to scour for deals and add a card or two here and there for the right price, but I won’t pay over $280 for a card unless it’s a 580 8gb or 1070+ in which I have no NVIDIA cards at the moment anyway, and even then I won’t go much higher or I’ll just pass up the deal and be happy where I’m at.
The total profit you would have accrued by the end of your mining rig’s profitable run would be $2,916.59. However, if you back out the initial upfront costs discussed above, you’ve actually made slightly less than you’ve invested. You could resell your GPUs to cut some of your losses, but your equipment will have lost a lot of value and that loss is only going to accelerate as newer mining equipment continues to improve at an impressive rate, something that is making GPUs from a year and a half ago already lose a majority of their value. Your GPU resale value will ultimately determine your overall mining investment return.
Now you’re talking about difficulty increase of 100%, which with this rate is easily going to happen before summer, might even be by march. Hopefully price will increase as well, but at some point we’ll be seeing a saturated market (especially once ETH goes PoS), so your prediction here is that 12-18months payback period. While i’d not speculate more than 6-8 months in the future. Because we can’t possibly know what will happen once PoS happens.
Cryptocurrency mining is a big buzz topic in technology these days. And why not? Utilizing your computer to digitally mine what seems like free money only begs the question, “where do I sign up?” Your machine will actually be “mining” or processing transactions for a decentralized currency, the hottest variant of which is called Ethereum.  Poised to overtake the industry bellwether Bitcoin, Ethereum has experienced explosive growth with roughly a $35 billion dollar market cap currently.
Therefore, you must succeed in finding a GPU miner that satisfies both objectives. GPUs offer different rates of power consumption that range between 150 W to a whopping 500 W. It is easy to buy majority of GPUs that are listed below, on leading online shopping portals such as eBay or Amazon.
I recommend mining the most profitable coin for you. So, if you’re using AMD GPUs then Monero and Ethereum are the most profitable option for you. If you’re using NVidia, ZCash and Ethereum are the most profitable. It’s your choice to choose which of these two coins to mine, and I recommend mining whichever one you think has the brightest future, as what you mine today may be worth $10 now, but $100 in a few months. You can always trade your mined currency for a different coin if you believe that is a better option. You can use services like Shapeshift.io for the quickest cryptocurrency swaps, or you can trade on sites such as Bittrex so you don’t have to pay as high of a fee.
Case – Coolermaster RC-942-KKN1 HAF X 942 USB3.0 Case. $179. Hard to get now. 14.35 kg 230 (W) x 599 (H) x 550 mm (D), 1 x 230 mm fan, 1 x 200 mm fan, 1 x 140 mm fan. The 200 mm fans move about 100 cubic feet of air per minute.
Oh trust me, my hope is that people panic sell these miner GPU’s for cheap when they realize theyre only worth $$ to other miners. Id love to pick up the nvidia variants around $50-60 when eth mining continues to go down lol. If I can pickup a large amount of GPU’s at that kind of price, should be able to dominate the alt mining game for some time.
I had two previous contracts one for Bitcoin and one for Ether, both had very good returns with regular deposits to my wallet. Just took out a much larger DASH contract for 2 years, deposits of dash started the next day.
Bluemining.net is headquartered in Zwolle, and the mining farms are in The Netherlands. Essentially being an alternative to real cryptocurrency mining, it allows the user to enjoy the benefits of receiving ethereum without having to own any actual equipment. Other advantages include the common dilemma in but are not limited to high electricity costs, connection problems, proper cooling, high noise levels and shipping times.

I see a lot of people are having this same problem. I believe that something must have changed in the new version of Claymore which is causing this error. Can you perhaps install an older version of Claymore?
For me, my aim was to find out more about the Ethereum network as I am a software developer and the possibility of programming smart contracts is like playing with a giant box of Lego Mindstorm, with unlimited pieces.
If you are building a “mega rig” which has 6 GPU’s you might find it more cost effective to have two separate power supplies because at 750 Watts and $100 each rather than a 1500 W and $300 dollars! We got a Seasonic 1200 Watt which you can buy here.
In a blockchain, transactions are added in a block, then the block is closed and added in the chain. After that a new block is open. In order to maintain the consistency over the network, only one miner can close a block in a specified moment. That miner is the one which solves first the hash problem and finds the winning solution. Then it closes the block and signs all transactions, getting the block reward along with all transaction fees.
The Sapphire Radeon R9 295X2 is usually available at a price of $600. However since it is almost always out of stock some users prefer buying it over eBay where it is sold for inflated rates of $1100-$1500.
The Ethererum Mining plans will run for a maximum of 24 months, however, should Ethereum (“ETH”) switch to proof-of-stake before the end of the term, we will use the leased hardware on a best-effort basis to mine the most profitable coin with that hardware for you. Please refer to the contract for further details.
Disclosure: Mining metrics are calculated based on a network hash rate of 109,271 GH/s and using an ETH – USD exchange rate of 1 ETH =306.01. Block reward is fixed at 3  ETH and future block reward reductions are not taken into account. The average block time used in the calculation is 15 seconds. The electricity price used in generating these metrics is $ 0.074 per kWh.
The newer GPUs might only be a little more efficient but with the new high costs they won’t be worth it either way. Problem right now with ETHEREUM is every Tom, Dick and Harry started to mine it and the difficulty keeps doubling every 2 months or so.
The Bitcoin Gold GPU Miner 2000 H/s from Ethereumminer.eu  is a pre-built mining rig that offers the potential of a pretty excellent profit. While values may fluctuate, you could see this rig paying for itself after not long at all. Especially as it has recently had a price cut – something of a rarity with mining devices which usually see price rises! This rig can also be customised to suit your needs and budget.
Hash (Rate)   A hash is the output of a hash function and, as it relates to Bitcoin, the Hash Rate is the speed at which a compute is completing an operation in the Bitcoin code. A higher hash rate is better when mining as it increases your opportunity of finding the next block and receiving the reward.
You say the Vega 64 does 41 MH/s on 135 watts – but 2 – GTX 1060s can do 46 MH/s on 140 watts and costs less…. so not sure about ‘dominating’ the competition. They are definitely a worthy option, especially if you have limited GPU slots on your motherboard.
