OK so this sounds like a problem with your graphics card driver. Are you using the latest driver for your card? If you’re using a standard Windows driver, this could be the cause of your problem. So I suggest you check out the relevant Nvidia or AMD website and get the latest GPU drivers for your machine.

The screens also provide extra security by verifying and displaying important wallet details.  The hardware wallet also supports a wide support of coins (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Zcash, Dash, Stratis) and most importantly an attractive price tag.  HOW TO SETUP AND CONFIGURE A LEDGER NANO S
The current top gaming graphics card, NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, delivers the highest Ethereum hash rate but it also consumes drastically more power under load when mining, versus more midrange cards like the GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 480. Furthermore, with a bit of memory clock and power target tuning, the GTX 1070 can deliver a higher hashrate, while still maintaining a much lower power draw than the 1080.
Today, that same GPU earns a thousandth of a Bitcoin in 24 hours, generating little value while consuming a substantial amount of power. The shift to ASICs for Bitcoin mining mirrors the shift from CPUs to GPUs, but the market isn’t content to just turn those mining rigs off – not when there’s an alternative currency available for which ASIC miners don’t exist.
Thanks for the comment. I believe that Nixon ended convertibility into gold — he did not end the relationship between the US’s gold reserves and the dollar. The dollar is still backed by the tremendous amount of reserves held by the US government, which is why it’s among the most stable currencies in the world.
GPUs are up to 200 times faster and more effective when it comes to mining Ethereum than compared to mining via CPUs. GPUs with at least 3GB of RAM are recommended for mining. In the past this used to be 2GB but as the difficulty rises you would need more powerful machine. The best GPUs for mining Etheruem currently feature 8GB of Graphic RAM.
Why do you need yo use the powered risers with the B250 MB? If I need to use powered risers do I need to make sure each bank A/B/C GPU and riser is from same PS? Or all powered risers need to be on PS as MB?
Nvidia’s latest flagship card, the Titan V, is a real beast. It uses a new type of graphics processor named Volta, which is also found in Tesla accelerators. The card is intended for serious number- crunching (such as machine learning, AI, and high-performance computing (HPC) applications).
It is very easy to burn out your GPUs – I’ve done in two, but luckily got warranty replacements. The first just stopped working after one day. And one of the fans got “sticky” in the second one after a few months.
My wife heard the news while she was away in Tibet this summer that a Bitcoin mining operation got busted near where she was staying, so naturally, we looked up what Bitcoin mining was all about and decided that we needed in on the action.
Then I looked at the other currencies of the world, held together by shoddy governments and inflated dishonestly as opposed to honestly (the creators of Doge Coin actually tell you how much money they will add to the circulation instead of just printing more when they feel like it)
Step 14 GPU mining (only do this after your blockchain is synchronised): Type in ethminer -G and press enter and then you should start mining with your GPU after building a DAG file which can take around ten minutes. There can be problems at this point. For example the program might say that you have insufficient memory on your Graphics card to mine the with Ethereum’s Ethash algorithm. If this is the case you can still mine with your CPU or go out and buy a new graphics card! You can see our graphics cards and compare their return on investments here and check out our guide on how to pick an ethereum mining graphics card here. We’ve also added a guide on how to build your ethereum mining rig.
And I know that it won’t take me a couple grand to get a 1 GH rig. If it only took that much, I’m pretty sure the global hash rate for Ether mining would be much, much higher. I meant ‘a couple grand’ on your idea of building a smaller rig.

Mining is intentionally designed to be resource-intensive and difficult so that the number of blocks found each day by miners remains steady. Individual blocks must contain a proof of work to be considered valid. This proof of work is verified by other Bitcoin nodes each time they receive a block. Bitcoin uses the hashcash proof-of-work function.
I have tried and tried and cried using CGminer. ive set it up exactly how it shows, i managed to connect once yesterday and now nothing, CGminer sits there like a stale bucket of piss with a blank screen with the line flickering and then flashes something and closes.
You’d need to look those numbers up. I’m only familiar with the 4GB model. The 2GB is probably significantly slower at solving crypto compared to the 4GB. It’s not so big that you be mining, but it is big enough to throw off your power cost calculations.
BTC value changes every day as does the difficulty etc so this is only ever a guide – and it says that so use it as such. I think this is a great resource to use if you use it with a pinch of salt as they say – its not financial advice.
The same thing applies to Ethereum. The only way to utilize Ethereum is with the product from mining. However, mining Ethereum means more than increasing the volume of Ether in circulation. It is also necessary for securing the Ethereum network as it creates, verifies, publishes, and propagates blocks in the blockchain.
The meteoric rise of ethereum has fueled something of a gold rush for people looking to get in on the action by mining ether themselves. This requires building a custom “mining” computer from scratch, which isn’t quite as hard as it sounds.
The ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ is another excellent choice for mining, with support for up to 13 GPUs. However, it currently costs about the same as Asus’s mining board, and for the money I’d rather stick with Asus. If you know that you’ll definitely stick to a single PSU and a small handful of GPUs (e.g.: the majority of us), this is a fine choice, especially if you find a deal on it.
All mining activities run on the GPUs so you won’t need a very powerful CPU to run the rig. Your CPU won’t be used during mining so a lower power chip is prefered. An Intel i3 or Celeron chip will work just fine in a LGA 1150 motherboard.
The Radeon RX 480 is most arguably the most economical in terms of cost and saving electricity. Its power cost per day is significantly lower than the two that I have mentioned at $0.4320. Its hash rate is 25.0 MH/s, meaning its cost per MH/s is $7.96. This gives a return per day of $1.21 and therefore a return per year of $440.91. Radeon RX 480 will cost you $199.
If you get some (booooo)’s displayed instead, don’t panic – it may just take a while for miner to adjust to the pool. If you keep getting a high ratio of booo’s to yay’s, it could be worth trying a different pool, or stratum address.
