Haha, gotcha! I’m not actually going to tell you how to install geth. That’s because they have pretty good Windows installation instructions on their project wiki, under the heading Building From Source. You’ll want to ignore step #1 (you’ve already got git, and you don’t need mercurial). Also, step #5 is likely to be the hardest and most error prone part. I’d follow this guide for setting your environment variables if you don’t know how. Note that after setting your environment variables, you’ll need to close and reopen any command prompts or PowerShells for those settings to take effect.
all these ‘experts’ on here saying you could never produce an asic because it relies on memory don’t know what they’re talking about. You can design the circuit and asic to utilise whatever kind of memory is optimum. If you want large amounts of memory there are cheaper memory parts out there than the kind used in GPU cards (which are the most expensive) and if you want faster memory bandwidth then with asics you can have multiple busses, or very large busses to give you the bandwidth you need. So YES, an asic is not only possible but it would be faster than GPUs… But would it be economically viable? is it worth doing? (no!.. because PoS is coming)
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 900 series cards don’t mine well on Windows 10 and use a fair bit of power, so if you have one of these cards you’ll want to run Windows 7 or EthOS where you can get higher performance levels with older driver builds. You’ll need to do your homework if you want to mine on a GTX 900 series card and generate revenue!

If a miner be the first who compute the hash result matched the requirements against the whole network; then that winning miner will be reward with the coins! That’s exactly the goal of mining. @ciprianpt philakone is full of it. No way any R7-370 gets 19-21MH, you can check with others on this forum, we all know they get reported and efective 15-16MH avg. at the pool and no more. I’ve even checked his “magic settings” out on the exact same brand cards he has and got nothing more than 15.3MH.

However, not all boards are created equal. Certain GPU architectures are quicker and more effective than others, and not all cards are loaded with the same type of graphics memory. If you’re running a lot of GPUs (4+), additional tweaks might be necessary to ensure that they’re all recognized by the OS. So wie ich das verstanden habe wird aber in jeder Phase eine neue Währung erzeugt. Also hätte ich dann noch zweimal die Chance von beginn an dabei zu sein und in eine neue Ethereum Währung zu investieren, z.b. in Ethereum Metropolis? Was passiert dann mit dem jetzigen ETH, das wäre dann doch eine veraltete Währung und müsste dementsprechend langsam zugrunde gehen. Denke ich da richtig? Bitte um Aufklärung
A: 99.9% of Cloud Mining sites are Ponzi schemes or fractional reserve Ponzi’s.  Even though there are a few that have been around a long time, there have been no 3rd party audits of the hashing power sold and profits are usually very low unless you are promoting heavily and getting others to join in (another red flag of ponzi related activity).  Short Answer – Our advice is DO NOT buy into Ethereum Cloud Mining sites or related Deposit Investment/HYIP programs.  
The GTX 1080’s performance is a tad confusing, everyone points to the GDDR5X memory as the issue, no one seems to know why. As a guess I would say there is some kind of latency issue that impacts mining performance.
