“Ethereum Mining Rig CPU”

“Ethereum Mining Rig CPU”

There may not be enough data to verify this and I am aware that correlation does not mean causation so I have no problem if you take issue with this point but if you look back at Bitcoin and Litecoin they both started out as CPU mined coins. When they both finally exploded was when GPU mining became possible. I am sure there are many other factors but if you look at coins which are only CPU based, like primecoin etc, they have failed to capture any large market cap despite being longer lived and innovative. Primecoin is now GPU minable. I’m curious to see where that road leads.
The reason why you can’t use an ASIC miner for Ethereum hashing is because the person who designed Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, specifically designed Ethereum to be more decentralized than Bitcoin. He thought this was an innate flaw with the grandfather Cryptocurrency. Investors with more capital could afford better ASIC miners and thus make more money.
Please advice if the second GPU (from previous post, GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 G1 GAMING 8GB (GV-N1070G1 GAMING-8GD) would be a right choice for the rig or there are some differences that I may experience in overclocking/drivers, e.t.c.. Thanks in advance,
2. What PSU valtage do you recoment since both the logic that you used with the 20% rule and this calculator by OuterVision (https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator) (the same as the CoolerMaster one) is suggesting that you buy “bigger” PSU? (GPUs use a variable of 150, meaning around 1000 and then adding the processor and the 20% rule getting us at 1600W PSU or 2x650W PSUs) And since we are the the PSU topic – what brands do you recommend and do you recommend getting 2 PSU in the first place?
Ethereum is an open software platform based on the blockchain technology that enables developers to build and deploy decentralized applications. The advantage of Ethereum over Bitcoin, is that it can support many different types of decentralized applications.
did you already try swapping the riser? Also, sata to xyz power adapters are fire hazard. If at all you want to use them, ensure that you power only 1 gpu per SATA cable. RX570 should do 21-22 on stock clocks. 17-18 was too low. did you update the driver to blockchain compute? You need to use those or switch to compute workload in latest adrenalin/crimson relive drivers.
Dear Kpsingh, I’m experiencing a problem that showed up today, after an unwanted windows update (that I was stopping for about 3 weeks), my mining rig slowed down a 35% in hash rate. I have windows 10. Are you or anyone else you know having the same problem ?

Once windows is fully installed and has booted for the first time, you will have to run the Windows 10 Registry tweaks for mining.bat file using this tweak disables EVERYTHING that is not important for mining on Windows, disable everything from this tool
Remember that every node in the network holds a copy of the transaction and smart contract history of the network, in addition to keeping track of the current ‘state’. Every time a user performs some action, all of the nodes on the network need to come to agreement that this change took place.

Step 1: The first thing you need to do is go to this link download Geth. Geth is the program that communicates with the Ethereum Network and acts as the a relay between your computer, its hardware and the rest of the ethereum network computers so if a block is mined by another computer your Geth will pick it up and then pass on the new information onto your GPU or CPU for mining.
The world has gone digital, from the development of smart homes to the development of innovations that promote seamless transactions. Every industry is feeling the impact of technology now more than ever. In every part of the world, the technologically driven goals remain the same: the maximization of profit and the promotion of sustainable development in all spheres of life. It is this yearning to make life as easy as possible that brought about the birth of cryptocurrency.
-epool is the mining pool you are mining on, it’s just a persona preference,                        some people like to use nanopool, some like dwarfpool, ethermine, you can use whatever pool you like. Be careful what pool you are using, it should be based on your location, it would make no sense to mine on an European pool if you are in America because of the high ping. Always use the pool that is close to you (nanopool, dwarfpool, ethermine and others have mostly location specific pools, you can’t miss them, they mostly start with eu, us or asia. After that you can write your own ethereum address which is used to collect your ethereum shares. You can view statistics on the mining pool by searching it with your address, for example if you are using the nanopool pool you can see your current active statistics with: https://eth.nanopool.org/yourEthereumAddress. For example using Nanopool:
CPU design optimizes for quickly switching between different tasks. In addition to the CPU’s agility, it also has the advantage of ubiquity. If you have a computer, you have a CPU. Thus, if a coin allows CPU mining, there’s less power in the hands of large mining farms.
Well lot of information in this article. I also want to start ethereum mining can any one suggest me good graphics card and also I google it and found this site http://www.thecryptomining.info/2017/03/best-hardware-for-ethereum-mining.html can i use these graphics card at that moment.
Claymore’s miner doesn’t need DAG files now because the GPU can compute the DAG in under 5 seconds. Create an asic designed to do exactly that, and you might get that down to a handful of clock cycles.
“But the key goal that we are trying to achieve with this fork is to build a perpetually ASIC-resistant version of Bitcoin,” said Robert Kuhne, another Bitcoin Gold contributor, in explaining the purpose of the project to Bitcoin Magazine .
I want to build my first rig this days, my question is: are this overclocked , or standard rates? I was planning to get R9 280 x & 290 x series but once i saw your stats i though to get them too! thanks
While the GTX 1070 sits atop our list of the best mining GPUs, its follow up, the GTX 1070 Ti, is another fantastic mining graphics card, and with a number of power upgrades, such as a higher base clock, the 1070 Ti does a very good job. However, there are a few reasons why it’s listed lower than its older sibling. For a start, as it’s newer it costs more than the 1070, which will dent your profits from mining. It also has a higher power consumption, which makes it more costly to run. Finally, there have been incidents of a bug in the driver software which makes this GPU hash lower than expected, but an upcoming fix should sort that. If you’re prepared to tweak a few settings, however, this is an excellent mining GPU.
Now you need to run the program you just downloaded. To do this you need to run Command Prompt. You can do this by searching in the search function in Windows for “CMD” and then clicking on it when it shows up.
On the GPU side, we are going to use the Claymore miner. Claymore has a long-standing reputation for optimizing miners and this miner speaks for it. It improves the hashing rate considerably and that is why we are going to take the time to download and use this miner as well. The genoil miner only works for pool mining and with AMD graphic cards. This miner charges a 2.5% developer fee. Every hour the miner mines for the developer during 90 seconds. However, the performance increase is well worth the fee charged. If you don’t agree with the dev feem, don’t use this miner
-tstop   set stop GPU temperature, miner will stop mining if GPU reaches specified temperature. For example, “-tstop 95” means 95C temperature. You can also specify values for every card, for example “-tstop 95,85,90”.
I’ve tried creating a batch script with every iteration of the final line, it does nothing. The CMD prompt appears and then closes within a second. I’ve been at this for HOURS. Any help would be awesome….
Haha, gotcha! I’m not actually going to tell you how to install geth. That’s because they have pretty good Windows installation instructions on their project wiki, under the heading Building From Source. You’ll want to ignore step #1 (you’ve already got git, and you don’t need mercurial). Also, step #5 is likely to be the hardest and most error prone part. I’d follow this guide for setting your environment variables if you don’t know how. Note that after setting your environment variables, you’ll need to close and reopen any command prompts or PowerShells for those settings to take effect.
You will need to enter in the stratum/IP address of your mining pool, then your worker name followed by password for your worker on the mining pool. Note: not all pools require a password, you can just put “123” if you want.
Step 4: Click “Start Mining” and choose the number of cores you want to use. If you choose to use fewer cores you use on your GPU/CPU, you’ll have a slower hashrate, but your hardware will be under less stress. MinerGate will now create a DAG file before it can start mining, wait for it to complete this process, once the DAG file is created, you will automatically start mining!
